The school building which holds their offices lies next to the church, not to be confused with the smaller building in between them which, I assume, is the former parish office. The smaller building is marked with clear instructions on the glass of the entryway to go next door to the school to visit the parish office. To enter the school, there is a front entrance at the street as well as an entrance from the parking lot. The main office is just to the right as you come in the front doors. I loved visiting this building. While I was sad to learn it is no longer a school, it's nice that it is being used and well-kept. I love the brick and architecture. As I waited sitting on a bench in the hall, I half expected a sister to come around the corner and tell me to get to class. Being here evoked memories of my own Catholic elementary schools where I attended. The library inside was a comfortable environment complete with actual chalkboards on the wall. Father Adam was kind, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. I highly recommend that you meet with him for any spiritual guidance or questions of the faith. I got a glimpse of the gymnasium when I walked down another hall to use the ladies' room. Both rooms also took me back to another time. To me, this is what a school should look like. The entire building gave me a sense of calm and safety as I had felt in grade school and added to my nostalgia. I imagined all the children that once walked these halls. Adding to the feeling of being shot back to second grade, I did get a bit lost in the hallways with all of the different entryways and hallways. I nearly exited out the loading dock ramp instead of the parking lot entrance, but that added to the fun of always losing my way in my own school as a small child.

We are grateful to send our children to a school that challenges them academically, provides a Christ-centered education, and promotes a traditional Christian lifestyle. Our children have attended both the English and Spanish immersion programs and they have both served our individual children with excellence. As a family that receives the Indiana School Choice voucher it has also been affordable. The teachers clearly enjoy the students, their colleagues, and the school's administration. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to participate in day-to-day activities as well as the many fun and fellowship events. Our kids have enjoyed clubs such as spanish club, dance club, and sports at Covenant. In addition to Chapel each week they enjoy music, art, and physical education classes. The Covenant Christian School families exhibit the Christian life by participating in various service projects organized by the school. It offers daycare, preschool and grades kindergarten to eighth. There are about 100 children in K-8. One classroom per grade! It feels like a family. The teachers are kind and caring. No child feels overlooked or left out. The tuition is VERY reasonable and scholarships are available. Besides core classes the students take Spanish, Bible, computers, gym, art and music. Each day begins with prayer. Every Friday the students attend chapel. New construction and expansion is planned this year (2016) as the church adds infant care to its day care services. This will also being improvements to the school such as the addition of a band room as well as locker rooms off the gym.
