The new Dr. Gopffarth (a local Keller kid, love that ) is phenomenal and a great asset to the practice. Keller is very lucky to have Dr. McReynolds and his expertise for so many years. Both of my boys went through braces with him and they are 37 & 38. Love the family feel at this place.

During that time, we have had a very positive experience. Dr. Duffy is excellent, and much of the office staff has always been friendly, professional, and welcoming. However, over the past several months, we have experienced repeated and frustrating issues with billing and insurance verification. Our insurance clearly covers dental sealants for children up to age 14. My children are 12 years old, yet on three separate occasions we were told at the time of the appointment that we would need to pay approximately $160 out of pocket for a service that should have been fully covered. Each time, we declined treatment and rescheduled after being reassured that the issue would be corrected. Unfortunately, no note was added to our account, and the same billing problem occurred at every appointment. This resulted in multiple unnecessary trips, missed school for my children, and time away from work for my husband or myself. After the third occurrence, my husband understandably expressed his frustration. When I later contacted the office manager, Theresa, to discuss the matter, she repeatedly interrupted me and would not allow me to explain the situation. More concerning, she accused my husband of yelling at a new employee and "throwing things around the office." This accusation is completely false. My husband was frustrated, as any customer would be after repeated scheduling errors and wasted time, but he did not behave in the manner described. Making such serious and unfounded accusations is unacceptable. I do sympathize with any new employee who may have felt overwhelmed, but the responsibility lies with management to properly verify insurance coverage and document account notes to prevent the same issue from happening repeatedly. It is extremely disappointing because we genuinely liked Dr. Duffy and several members of the staff. The office is clean, well-maintained, and Dr. Duffy provides excellent care. However, due to the repeated billing issues, poor communication, and false accusations made against my husband, we will be taking our business elsewhere. After more than five years as loyal patients, this is not how we expected to be treated. I cannot recommend Duffy Dental based on our recent experience. My advice to prospective patients is to verify your insurance benefits independently before any appointment and be prepared to question charges that should be covered.

Fast forward to Saturday (because of course it's always the weekend), I bit into something and heard that crunch. You know the one, the kind that immediately tells you something important is now in pieces. Sure enough, one of my temp crowns had broken. Pain kicked in, panic followed, and dread set in as I realized: it's the weekend, and my teeth are exposed. I called my dentist's office, fully expecting to leave a desperate voicemail that would go unheard until Monday. But then, cue the choir of angels, I heard it: "If this is an emergency, please call our 24-hour number." You better believe I jotted that down faster than I've ever written anything in my life. Within minutes, I was communicating with the wonderful Jen, who was calm, professional, and had the kind of "we got you" energy you want in a dental emergency. She passed my info to the dental techs, and before I could even finish saying "thank you," I was told to head to the office... on a freaking Saturday! I pulled into the empty parking lot like I was in a spy movie and saw another car pull in right behind me. It was Ana, the absolute legend of a dental tech who had come in just for me. She let me in, set everything up, and within minutes I was in the chair in a pristine, freshly prepped room that smelled like victory... and disinfectant. Ana was not only skilled but kind, funny, and reassuring. She explained every step, made sure I was pain-free, and treated me with the kind of care and attention that you'd hope for even on the busiest weekday, except this was her day off, which made it all the more incredible. In 30 minutes, I walked out with a brand-new temporary crown, pain-free and genuinely smiling (not just because I got my bite back, but because I felt so taken care of). Break to smile - less than two hours! This office is a unicorn in the world of dentistry... professional, responsive, compassionate, and just the right amount of cool.
