We were trying to decide between having a friend or hire an officiant to marry us, and we are so glad we hired Ryan! He has this calming presence and makes you immediately feel at ease. He delivered the ceremony flawlessly, and everyone afterwards complimented it saying how beautiful and memorable it was and that it was one of the best ceremonies they've witnessed! On Sunday when we were having lunch with our family and some family friends, they kept mentioning Ryan and how he was so professional and how the ceremony was so perfect!! From the start, he made us feel comfortable and confident in hiring him. On the first phone call, he went over the general script so we could get a taste of what it would be like on our wedding day and from that we were like done, you're hired! He wove in our story to the script to personalize it to us in such a beautiful way and it flowed very naturally. We were an out of town couple, and so we did our meetings via phone call and FaceTime and Ryan was totally easy going about it and was very easy to stay in contact with, should we have any questions. It looked stunning and I knew I had to book my big day with them! From day one Dian made herself available and answered all of my questions. I didn't have to worry about decorations, music, pictures, etc. The day before our wedding we had our rehearsal with Dian and she put all of our worries at ease. I wanted to keep things traditional and didn't want my husband to see me until I walked down the isle with my father. She assured us he wouldn't and explained how the day was going to go. When it finally arrived I was speechless! Dian decorated it beautifully with candles, flowers, and chandeliers. We were blown away with how gorgeous it looked! Such a beautiful day but not a single good picture to reflect our special day. My selfies taken from my iPhone are better and I had to pay a professional photographer to merge two of my pictures from my iPhone together to recreate a good picture on the beautiful Palisades Gazebo background. It's pretty sad when a professional wedding photographer sends 100 pictures of your beautiful wedding but you have to merge two of your own pictures instead because his pictures are simply that terrible! I'm so upset I start to cry every time I look through the pictures. My 12 year old nieces pictures are far better than anything the photographer took and he missed so so many important moments. All Dian had to say about this was she thought they were great and he's been working for her for years. When I sent the pictures of a drapery blocking the grooms head while reading his vows, or the picture of only our butts and who knows who's hand pouring sand for the very special sand blending part of the ceremony (this was an important part of the ceremony to me because my daughters were included), along with other pictures I can't believe a professional photographer would actually send to a client, there was no response from Dian. Coming from Canada to California for a destination all-in-one wedding package (especially with the conversion difference) I expected far, far better. I expected better customer service and far better memories to physically look back on but instead I want to cry because this photographer did not at all capture the beauty nor the mood of what that special day was actually like. It's pretty sad when you have to hire another photographer to photoshop your iPhone selfies to recreate the beauty and mood that a professional wedding photographer completely missed. And that only gives us ONE picture. But is our only option short of hiring an actual real wedding photographer to take pictures of us here in Canada, and that would not be the same as having pictures from our day. If you get married through this company, please hire your own photographer as you cannot expect any support from the owner.

So a couple weeks before we were to be married, our pastor we intended on having, fell through. We were a mess at this point, with no idea what to do. We contacted Low, and his responses were extremely fast and helpful. The Sunday before our date, we met with him in Huntington. We'd never used anyone like this, so we were very stressed, not sure how personable and catered to US this would be. Within minutes of sitting down with Low, we started to feel at ease. Like another reviewer said, he recorded our 30-45 minute conversation, so he could be in the moment there with us, talk to us, and get to know us, using our conversation as the basis for personalizing our ceremony that was in a mere 6 days! When we left, we felt good, but still a little apprehensive. Would it be funny? Serious? A hybrid? Low had told us a few things about how he works and his background, but we decided to give it a shot. With 6 days left, we really had no choice. Wedding day came, and it was to be a beach wedding at Arch Cove in Laguna. (Pro-Tip for Laguna Beach weddings...check the tide tables, AND check the beach itself REALLY early on the day of the wedding, if not the day before, and have backup locations ready! At our first location, Arch Cove, the beach steps went all the way to the sand when we first picked the spot. By wedding day a few months later, the surf had washed away a massive portion of the sand and there was now a 2-foot or more drop off from the steps to the beach. Not workable for our older family members.) So here I was, an hour before our wedding, and absolutely FREAKING out. My fiance was getting ready in our room, I was supposed to be at the location, and there was no way family would be able to navigate those stairs and massive step down to the sand. Low took me aside and said...."It'll be ok. Let's check out other beaches. I've done plenty of these around here, and I know other spots." He calmed me, reassured me, and while I was still freaking out, we got in his car and drove. This is where having a secondary backup site for a beach wedding comes in handy. I told him our backup was Shaw's Cove. We were there within minutes, and the place, while a little crowded, was do-able. The massive texts and call frenzy began, and thank God we just had immediate family for the ceremony itself. Only had to re-coordinate with 20 people. Low could see I was on the verge of a panic attack. He again took me aside, talked to me (can't remember exactly what he said), but he reassured me everything was going to be just fine. He told me what to do, and said he'd take care of the rest. At this point, I wasn't even dressed. Again, glad we had a low-key, casual wedding planned, because I just had a linen shirt and beige slacks to put on. But now where to change? Many Laguna Beaches have no restroom facilities. Low gave me his keys, and said I could change in his car. So that's what I did right there on a side-street in Laguna Beach in the back of Low's car. Family got there, fiance got there, and the wedding was.....PERFECT! His message and words seemed to be from someone that knew us for years! Humor, faith, integration of how important our kids and families are to us....all of it it was just absolutely STELLAR! By now I've rambled on too much. For anyone out there that's looking for a wedding officiant, just know that Low went amazingly above and beyond anything my wife and I could have ever hoped for! What looked like was going to be a disaster, turned into one of the most amazing days of my life! Thank you soooooooo much, Low! We're SO glad we decided to have you be a part of our special day!

She listened to all of our ideas and even gave us some excellent ideas that we ended up incorporating in to the ceremony. We communicated mostly through email in the weeks leading up to the day, and had a detailed step by step phone conversation a couple days prior. On the day of, Helene arrived early, looking wonderful and prepared for our "big day." Everyone in attendance was quite emotional, but she made sure to lighten the mood a bit, and got us to have a little laugh. She truly was wonderful.
