What can I say? Jon was simply amazing! Our intimate garden wedding should have been smooth sailing... but as we all know, even the best-laid plans can go a little sideways. Amid the chaos, Jon truly made our day feel special! He could see how stressed I was in the run up to the ceremony, and as soon as he took the reins and the ceremony began, I instantly felt at ease. His calm presence, professionalism, and kindness grounded the whole moment. We dealt with a few difficult vendors throughout our planning, but working with Jon was effortless. He was responsive, flexible, and genuinely cared about getting everything right -- which meant the world to us. He handled everything perfectly, including the unexpected! Which involved a neighbour's rooster and movie special-effects sounds blasting from the next garden over! It all ended up adding character to our ceremony in the most hilarious and memorable way. Jon was incredible. We are so grateful that he was part of our day and we are so thankful and lucky to have found him. We highly recommended Jon to anyone looking for a warm, composed, and genuinely caring officiant!
Jon is not only an outstanding officiant, but he is also an amazing person. My wife and I had the honor of having him officiate our wedding earlier this year on July 17, 2024. Jon took the time to meet with us on multiple occasions to ensure our big day was memorable and special. He's very thorough during the planning process so there are no surprises during the ceremony, which was tailored to our preferences. The preparation beforehand with Jon made us feel comfortable going into the day of the wedding. I was feeling the nerves before the wedding, but his calm, warm presence and humorous remarks made me feel at ease. We highly recommend Jon as a wedding officiant.
Jon was an amazing officiant! We got married 10/14/23. We had looked around and wanted to find someone that we felt was able to provide a ceremony that reflected how we feel about each other - caring, warm, a little humorous. He balanced those things perfectly. He was very easy to work with, and created a very personalized Order of Service for our ceremony. Everyone really enjoyed the ceremony. We especially appreciated his working in different cultural pieces in a sensitive way. We were really able to have the ceremony we wanted. We would highly recommend Jon again and again! Thank you Jon! -- Sam & Ang
Jon Olson was the officiant for me and my husband for our wedding October 2023 and we realized we forgot to write a review! I have to say, Jon was everything a wedding officiant should be and more. He was on time, responsive via email and phone call, and had lots of resources and options for the wedding format. He keeps everything low stress even though it's a big moment to prep for! I am grateful for his kindness and thoughtfulness. Everything from reassuring us the night before with a quick and easy rehearsal to helping the day run smoothly! He has a great voice and cadence, and helped us get through the ceremony in a timely manner in the sweltering 90 degree heat in October! He was a trooper and never complained of course. He implemented heartfelt moments perfectly. Thank you Jon!!
We had an amazing experience by choosing Jon to officiate our wedding. He is a complete professional and thorough in his approach to creating the perfect ceremony. We were able to go through every aspect and detail; which helped us feel comfortable going into the wedding. He speaks so well and is an excellent public speaker. We received a lot of compliments after the wedding as to Jon's ceremony and how special he made the entire day. I would highly recommend him to officiate anyone's wedding!
We had a small wedding on 10/15/22. I honestly was clueless about all things wedding planning, but I knew I wanted to find an AMAZING officiant, even with our budget limitations. I believe I just found Jon through Yelp. He is listed as the best officiant around. This was important to me because I knew he would make the ceremony special, personalized, and if anything went wrong (which of course it did, because Murphys Law,) he kept everything on the rails with professionalism, kindness, and a smile. He was there through the entire process with all my anxious questions. He was especially helpful are reassuring about the process of marriage licsense and changing of my name. They way he asked us questions, created a worksheet and order of service for OUR ceremony. It was very special and personalized. Do not hesitate to hire Jon if you want a special service with a personal touch, heart. All of our guests loved him, and we love him too! Thanks for your work, Jon!
Jon was the perfect match as officiant for our wedding!! He is a very kind man with a great sense of humor!! He was prompt and paid attention to detail and very thorough in the process. He put our ceremony together and it was just perfect time wise and fit us to a "T"!! I highly recommend Jon as you won't be disappointed.
Choosing someone to marry us was a major concern for my wife and I when we were planning our wedding. We had been looking at different places for several weeks, but no one really seemed like the right fit. We eventually came across Jon Olson and given his expansive amount of experience, we decided to go with him. It ended up being one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding. Jon was professional and attentive. He understood the demands and stress that come from wedding planning and he made every accommodation he could to make the experience more manageable for us. Jon took the time to get to know us, and answered all of the questions and concerns we had. It was evident that he truly was an expert in his field and this put us at ease. On the big day, Jon arrived early and was the epitome of professional throughout the entire ceremony. He did a wonderful job of incorporating all the elements we wanted into our ceremony while keeping it lively and engaging. After the ceremony and in the days and weeks following our wedding, dozens of friends and family members commented on how much they enjoyed the ceremony and Jon's message. We cannot thank Jon enough for being a part of our wedding and being a major reason why it was everything we wanted and more.
There is no need to look elsewhere, book Jon as your wedding officiant! He is amazing. Prior to the wedding, he will schedule meetings followed by documenting a detailed planning sheet to understand your needs, and subsequently a timeline to ensure he accomplishes your dream ceremony to a tee. Jon recently officiated my wedding, and my husband and I were impressed with how smoothly the ceremony went; he truly is a professional. There was a moment when my husband fumbled his words because he was nervous...he said, "I take you as my lawfully wedded life", and Jon turned it into a sweet, endearing moment by responding with, "she is your life, too". Everyone loved his response and we all shared a moment of laughter. It's the one thing I will never forget about my wedding.
Jon Olson was the perfect officiant for our wedding. We found him on Google while searching for wedding officiants in Redondo Beach. He is friendly, humorous and professional. My husband and I really enjoyed listening to his speech/advice on how to make a marriage last. It was realistic and practical. He has such a cool vibe. It didn't matter if the mood/tone of the wedding was heartwarming, serious or full of laughter. He was able to adjust his speech and provide us with a fun and memorable experience.

Jon was incredible to work with! There are not enough words to express how happy we were with his service. He definitely matched our energy through and through. From the first call, we clicked instantly and knew he would be the one. Jon is a great speaker, he came prepared, and had a robust schedule for the ceremony. He provided us with sheets to work on at home to better tailor the experience. Looking back the ceremony was our favorite part of the wedding. He brought so much joy to our day. It was perfect reflection of us as a couple and was everything we wanted it to be! read more

After searching for an officiant for quite some time, we were grateful to have come across Jon. Right from the start, Jon was extremely kind and professional. Most importantly, he presented himself as very passionate and excitable about what he does and that made us even more excited for the process of arranging the ceremony and our wedding! When we began working with Jon, he was able to answer any and all questions we had regarding the ceremony, our vows, the wedding party, etc. He also provided us with a small questionnaire that basically covered every single aspect of the ceremony and made us feel confident that it was going to go smoothly and exactly as we had hoped for. Further, Jon was able to walk us through this questionnaire over the phone where we were able to figure out small details that made our wedding ceremony personal, fun, and seamless. To make things even more bullet proof, we were able to get Jon to come to our wedding rehearsal and walk us through everything with our wedding planner. Let us just say, this preparation certainly made the actual ceremony go off without a hitch. No one was left wondering what to do and everyone had there place! On the day of, Jon was extremely personable, amicable, and professional. His work during the ceremony was very fluid and capturing while always keeping the focus on us, the bride and groom. I think what we like about Jon is that he's very easy going and relaxed which helped the whole ceremony remain that way as well. Nothing was too over the top and nothing was too underwhelming. Jon's work was exactly what we had hoped for. As we look back on the videos of our ceremony, it literally was perfect. So much of this is due to Jon helping us prepare and the attitude, demeanor, and professionalism he brought to the wedding day of. He gets a true and honest 5/5 stars from us and we know you'll be satisfied with Jon's services as well! read more

Jon officiated our Terranea wedding this June. We originally hired him back in 2019 for our 2020 wedding. Despite constant postponements due to COVID, Jon was very understanding and flexible. I love how he provided a planning worksheet for us so we can pick what is important to have in our ceremony. This also helped him get to know us more and ensure our ceremony was personalized. He was very organized and went over all the details with us without being overwhelming. Jon works with you to ensure the ceremony is exactly how you want it. We wanted our ceremony to be able 20 minutes long and he was able to do so while maintain everyone's attention which is quite impressive! He has such a kind tone to him, I felt like a friend was officiating us. We received so many compliments on how engaging the ceremony was. One guest said, "it was so touching and not boring. I normally fall asleep at ceremonies but this one kept me interested." We just got our wedding video back and got to relive our ceremony. Jon did such an amazing job and I recommend him to anyone! He truly has a gift and his ability to customize your ceremony while keeping everyone engaged is priceless! read more

WOW, what can I say. Jon is not only an amazing person, though he is truly an artist in his craft. Not only does he really guide you throughout I would say thee most important and stressful part of the wedding being the ceremony, though he works his magic to ensure it is exactly what you have dreamed it to be... and more! Jon has a way with words and crafts the ceremony to be unique, sweet, and a moment you will remember forever. I coordinate events for living and ceremony planning is not an easy task, especially considering all the different factors involved. Jon is truly is a master at logistically planning the script to ensure that your ceremony is thee most perfect length, while also including all the sweet touches you want to make your ceremony unique to you as a couple! We will forever cherish the moments of our sweet ceremony, and our family and friends certainly will be talking about Jon for AGES! We received so many amazing compliments on how incredible he was with words and how he truly had the perfect balance of spiritual and motivational about marriage throughout the ceremony. Jon truly has a gift and we are SO grateful we were able to have him be a part of our special day! read more

After combing through several wedding review sites, such as you are probably doing right now, my fiancé and I came across Jon's website. After our initial Zoom meeting with him, we felt very comfortable with choosing him as our officiant. He's professional, warm, flexible, courteous, charming and compassionate. He's been doing this for many years now and it shows. The entire process from A to Z was seamless and he guided us through every step of the way. We eventually opted to write our own vows, but he was prepared with several to choose from. For the ceremony we wanted a hint of spirit and religion, but not too much, and Jon certainly delivered. He's a natural up there and it made us feel as relaxed as possible. It definitely felt like he was in our corner giving us support and encouragement in his own way on the most special day of our lives. We would highly recommend Jon's services to anyone getting married, you won't regret it! read more

THE ABSOLUTE BEST. Special thank you to Jon who absolutely stunned us. He is so thorough, kind, outgoing, camera friendly, and made such an impression on us and our guests. We knew we picked the best as soon as we met you. He helped coordinate the ceremony beautifully. Listened to our ideas, and helped us create a magical day. If your looking for one, look no further. Jon is the best. He goes with the flow and is so good at reading guests. It's important for an officiant to feel the crowds energy and flow with it. I actually stepped to early to kiss my husband (I was impatient haha) (see the photo below my photographer caught) he made the entire guests laugh and we all had a blast. He went along with it. Made my day. Thank you Jon! read more

To anyone planning the wedding of their dreams, even during the middle of a global pandemic.... please stop looking and book Jon ASAP!!! He was our officiant at our small, outdoor, COVID-compliant wedding in Redondo Beach on 11/14/2020, and we couldn't be happier! We didn't know exactly how important choosing the right officiant would be for our big day...but it turns out that our decision to have Jon marry us was one of the best we made! He is professional but very personable and truly listens to his couples. We completed his detailed questionnaire and by the time we completed our call with him, we really felt at ease and had a good idea of how the ceremony would take place. His extensive experience as an officiant proved helpful time and time again, as he gave several ceremony tips and alternative options regarding how we could incorporate readings or prayers, along with where to include the delcarations of intent! On the day of, Jon was punctual, well-dressed, friendly, and funny! We're so thankful to have pictures of us laughing and so full of love during the moments we made our union official. Thank you so much, Jon! We couldn't have imagined a more perfect ceremony!! read more
