I was worried that this experience would be another one that I would have to grin and bear for the sake of my teeth. From the moment I walked in, I knew it would be a different experience. The office is aesthetically pleasing, professional and warm; the staff were so kind, one team member was on the phone and another came over right away to check me in and get my payment. I appreciated that they sent me information prior to the appointment regarding what was covered and what was not. No surprises or weirdness there. Once I went back, I was prepped for the procedure by a staff member, I was doing general anesthesia, so they asked all of the right questions and then I was seen within a few moments by Dr. Rostami. The procedure went well, just felt like I took an amazing nap. While I kind of can't recall leaving either time because of the anesthesia, my friend who picked my up said they were great and my husband, who is a STICKLER for professionalism, said they were good. I had to call today to get a copy of an invoice for HSA, and it was in my inbox within 5 minutes and AJ stayed on the phone until I confirmed receipt. Thank you all for creating an environment where people can feel comfortable and confident in the team from start to finish. I have one more visit in a few months and hopefully I'll be all good. It feels good to know that in case of an emergency or routine oral surgery, this team will provide consistent, competent and comprehensive care. Thank you!!

Before treatment, the office told us that our insurance wouldn't cover much and asked us to put down a large upfront payment. Later, when we received our benefits statement, we learned that we actually only owed about 20% of what they'd asked us to pay. When we contacted the office to request a refund of the overpayment, they claimed they had not yet received the insurance payment. This was especially frustrating because, according to the insurance company, the payment had already been processed and they had cashed it within four days of the claim being disclosed. Based on my experience, I feel the office was not transparent or honest about the insurance and payment situation, and dealing with them has been one of the most unpleasant medical office experiences I've had. If you have other options, I would strongly recommend staying away from this practice because of the way the office handles billing and communication, even though the dentist himself seems fine.

I go in for cleanings and come out with a toothbrush. I had spaghetti and cracked my tooth on a red pepper seed ( the shaker kind). I go to my dentist, whom I love (Dr. Erik Fox), and he gives me a root canal. This is the root canal from hell (three sessions), but he handles it, and everything seems to be going well until...I develop a blister on my gum. Dr. Erik sent me to Northern Virginia Oral, Maxillofacial, and Implant Surgery and promised they would take good care of me. He wasn't wrong. Did I mention I'm a crybaby? LOL! During the consultation, I started crying when they told me what was going to happen. Just tears leaking out of my eyes, but they were so kind to me. Dr. Aslam assured me that it was ok. When people had traumatic episodes with dentists when they were younger (I did), they're often really scared. He promised everything would be ok..and it was. I went in, and they let my husband come back with me and hold my hand. After the needle went in for the anesthesia, I remember nothing except going to the spice markets in Marakesh...that's a wild dream, right? But not a bad one. When I woke up, they gave me a care package to take home and helped my husband get me into the car after giving him aftercare instructions. The care package had my first two doses of pain medication, pear-flavored chapstick for my lips, a barf bag (just in case), tons of gauze, and instructions on how to take care of the wound. I was thrilled that they not only got the tooth out but could do the bone graft and implant placement all at once. From the reception area people (Hi Amber!) to Dr Aslam and the nurses, I felt I was in good hands. They were understanding about my anxiety and never belittled it. They LITERALLY held my hand through the experience. I would definitely recommend them.

We showed up for the consultation appointment and waited for almost an hour to be seen; when we go back, the dentist was looking at 2 yr old xrays and I had to point that fact out to him because he couldn't read the date...which i though was kind of a red flag, pink it least. So, they do updated xrays and we move forward with the consultation and I schedule an appt to get my sons wisdom teeth removed. The appointment was scheduled more than 30 days out... the evening before the appointment on June 6, 2025, I received a call saying the insurance was still not confirmed and unless i wanted to pay out of pocket, they would have to reschedule the appointment. I asked them to call me back to schedule once they verify insurance. This place NEVER called back. What I have received, 2 billings for $10.93 with no indication why i was billed. I get it it's $10.93, it least its not $110.93. I paid this a month ago because I realize this place is not good and I just want them to go away. Today, August 1, 2025, I received the same billing for $10.93. I called at 330pm on a Friday and the office is closed, but the office hours are listed to be open til 430pm. The point in all this is, don't waste your time with this practice, find a better place for you or your family member to be put under and have someone cutting into your mouths.

After a 3D X-Ray - Dr. Lui took a look - and he was able to extract the fragment of bone - it was small and popped right out. Apparently if there is a fragment of tooth or bone from previous dental work - it can start to work its way outward - the body is attempting to "eject" the fragment. I had no idea the fragment was surfacing, I did not feel it. Fortunately, Dr. Lui popped it right out with no need for any local anesthetic.
