I do not recommend Kahn, if I had not gone to another dentist, I could have lost within one year three of my teeth. Kahn is not a good dentist. Two years ago, I felt a very strong pain in my tooth. When I went to Kahn, he told me everything was fine and prescribed me an antibiotic.... In a few months I started having yellow liquid leaking out of my tooth. Kahn said everything was fine and sent me back home. Then six months later he told me to do a root canal and crown on the same tooth... So basically he let the tooth die without doing anything about it... When Kahn started doing the root canal he told me the nerve for the tooth was already dead. He started doing the root canal himself and after torturing my tooth for 1 hour he was able to do only one of the three required canals. So after all this torture, he sent me to another specialist. I had to wait for two weeks to see the specialist and the specialist could not understand why Kahn did not finish it. Then after waiting for another month Kahn finally put on the new crown..all this cost me $3500. So I was hoping it would last. Unfortunately this crown only lasted two years. On my last appointment Kahn recommended to do extraction of one tooth that had a cavity, just because it was hard for him to fix. And to put a filling on another tooth. So I went to another dentist to get a second opinion. After he took and x-ray of these teeth. The second dentist told me I did not have to extract the first tooth, he fixed it with a filling saying he would never recommend extraction. On the second tooth which Kahn wanted to put a filling in, he said he could find nothing to fix. He also told me that I had a Major problem to worry about. Two Crowns, both put in by Kahn (one two years old, the second three years old), were poorly fitted and both letting food particles come up underneath the crowns. Both my crowns were in danger of losing the tooth beneath them due to decay if left alone. So I had to change two crowns and pay another $4,000. After talking to Kahn he explained to me that I had a problem with gums receding and it was not his fault. This response does not hold water because #1 as we get older we all have receding gums. And #2 I have a third crown in my mouth that is 10 years old (put in by another dentist). This crown is in perfect condition and shows no signs of decay underneath, nor was it affected by my receding gums. read more

The treatment at Burke Dental Center is the best I've ever received. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the office has run right on time at my appointments. I am always impressed with the warm welcome--they remember everything about me from my previous appointments, and even though I was very anxious last time I was there when I had to get a root canal, they put me at ease from the time I walked in the door with movies playing on tv and even let me use an ipod during my treatment. The hygienist really takes her time and answers all my questions. Their technology is much more sophisticated than my previous dentist--they showed me photos of my teeth in the moment so I can see the issues, and I know they are being honest about the services I need. Prices are reasonable--actually, lower than my last dentist. Dr. Khan is careful to explain the treatments he provides and is very patient. He seems like an old friend the moment you meet him, and his humor helps lighten the mood. I've recommended him to all my friends! read more

I've been a patient of Burke Dental Center for over 12 years. I've been to other dental practices in the past, and they dont compare to quality of service you receive from Dr. Khan and his staff. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a scheduled appointment. The staff pride themselves on providing great service and they respect your time which is greatly appreciated. Dr. Khan and his staff are highly skilled professionals. Over the years, I've had numerous dental procedures completed from repairing cavities, crown work, root canal, wisdom tooth removal, teeth whitening, and dental appliances (mouth guard & TAP 3 appliance), which have all been successful and very happy with the results. In addition to the great service and skills they provide, their entire office is modernized with current technology with many cool tech toys. Also, I've noticed over the 12 year period, there doesnt seem to be a high degree of turnover in employees, which speaks volumes on how the employees are treated. read more

I just my 4th visit to Dr. Ghanavati and am set to have a full scale cleaning every 3 months. Maria is the best and most thorough dental hygienist I have had during my lifetime. She is punctilious is her processes and definitely does excellent work in all phases. Dr. G. reviews her work in an assiduous manner prompting her to call out any issues involving her close examination of my dental issues (which are many). My old periodontist who recently retired never provided the deep cleaning services rendered by Dr. G's staff and I'm booked for life with his dentistry office in Burke. We are thrilled that we've belonged to Burke Dental Center, a dental practice that's professional, trustworthy, friendly and responsible, for almost a decade. As a family of five, it's so nice knowing that all of us can visit for preventative care together as a family as a result of great reception who makes scheduling so easy. This office is so incredibly welcoming. Cecily answered all my insurance questions and took all my information prior to my appointment making it easy to come in and get seen. I was taken back on time which is awesome because at most offfices you have to wait so long after your scheduled appointment time. What I love is that Dr.Khan isn he is conservative and not pushy..my previous office was so aggressive i felt likw the doctor was after my money. Dr Khan explains all of your options and gives his honest opinion with pictures and x rays its amazing. Not only that but you can tell his staff really likes working there!! Before we found Dr. Khan, we had tried a number of dentists all over Northern Virginia - and all had come short of our expectations. I cannot speak more highly of the staff and my experience at Burke Dental Center. I moved into the area and was referred to them by a friend because of his great experience. Cecily always greets me by name (even though I only see her twice a year) and the rest of the staff is personable and helpful. Dr. Khan is transparent with his procedures and keeps you informed of what he is doing at every step. I had to get my first filling ever yesterday and he took pictures of the tooth at each step to show me after the procedure was finished. Their appointment reminder texts are extremely helpful. Best dentist I ever had. I've been going to Dr. Khan since 2005 when my next door neighbor (who happened to be a retired dentist) referred me to him. All the office staff are super friendly and know me by name. I recommend Dr. Khan to every one who asks me if I know a good dentist. Everyone who's ever gone to him has thanked me for putting them in such good hands! They won't rip you off or tell you that you need work when you don't. I have not been to the dentist in years due to childhood memories. My children have been going to him for years but I have always avoided it, until I had to have a root canal done. Dr. Khan was amazing. He made me feel at ease and walked me through step by step on what was going to happen. I was so comfortable and didn't feel any pain, that I fell asleep through the procedure. I picked Dr. Khan based on the on line reviews and he exceeded expectations! It took me a while to get in, understandably so as I was a new patient requesting a late evening appointment. I filled out my paperwork and didn't have to wait long before I was called back. Dr. Khan and his hygienist did an amazing job and were very personal, which was an added bonus. I am terrified of going to the dentist. Years of not great experiences and just too much time spent in the dental chair. I spent three days nauseated in preparation for my appt for replacement of 2 crowns. I have to say - Dr. Kahn was very gentle and reassuring.
