They sent a single letter, which raised the offer 50%, but had the lack of ethics to demand their take on the money she already had on the table. In effect they took every penny they could instead of doing the right thing, which is to take your cut on the dollars they actually brought to the table. My wife left this firm in the exact same economic position she entered it. They are shameless. Unknowledgeable. In a call with a partner who supposedly had 25 years experience, she didn't even realize my wife's claim was ineligible for federal EEOC complaint. A threshold issue. The case strategy was badly mismanaged from the beginning as a result. They tossed her case to several lawyers in their firm and none ever learned it. Unprepared. We were double billed and only when WE realized it did they modify the billing. They cannot even block and tackle nevertheless win a case. My advice: Hire a firm that fights FOR you, not fights you. We settled for worse terms than we otherwise would have because we were tired of fighting our own lawyers at Lescht. When you need a lawyer, you need them to fight for you. Lescht does not.
