I found this out by both driving past the office and that voice/emails had a different name attached. I didn't care for this at all. Also, I no longer live near that dentist, so I decided to look for a new one. I found Laurich Dentistry online and checked the reviews, and decided to try it. First of all, the office is bright and cheery. The waiting room is large and inviting. And the staff all seems happy; I heard a lot of laughing while I was there. The second thing is that, instead of old posters, they actually have TWO televisions in the rooms -- one on the wall and one on the ceiling -- so that you can completely relax during the appointment. I don't get nervous at the dentist, but I found this to be very much a patient-centered idea. Third, they were extremely thorough. They took several different kinds of x-rays and 3D images of my teeth. Both the hygienist (whose name I've forgotten, but I believe it starts with an A -- I want to say Aziza?) and Dr. Matt went over with me what they saw. I've never seen my teeth like that before! One of the things that I really appreciated was that the hygienist realized that I have a small mouth, so rather than making me jam the larger x-ray device in my mouth (which has always been uncomfortable in the past), she found a smaller one. I am so glad that I decided to change dentists. I wish I'd started going here sooner.

When I met Dr. Matt, he of course, was very friendly and professional plus explained in detail exactly what he would be doing and made sure I understand what was going to happen . He always made sure I was comfortable and not in pain. The procedure actually went quite well. I am very happy that I had. Dr. Matt to do the implants and I definitely would recommend him.

The hygenist was clearly agitated that I did not want him to use the water pick technique. He proceeded to swipe harshly at my teeth with the sharp pick while keeping the suction in my mouth the whole time making it very uncomfortable. I kept closing my mouth because of the pain and being afraid and he just kept saying open your mouth ma'am. Not "are you ok or am I hurting you". He had no regard whatsoever for the pain and discomfort he was causing me. He rinsed my mouth only once and it wasn't even after he polished my teeth. He swiped at 2 of my upper teeth and said he was finished. He then told me to get up and rinse with mouth wash at the sink. The dentist then came in and he was worse. He asked if I had any concerns but at that point I just wanted to leave. He looked quickly at my teeth, called a few things out to the nurse and told me I was done. He didn't even explain what he was telling her or what was wrong. Once he told me I was done, he walked out and I just got up and left. Going to a place like this really scares me. It scares me that people like this are allowed to practice. It scares me that they are allowed to treat people this way and it scares me that people don't do anything about it. He was very thorough and detailed in his exam and explained to me exactly what to expect. I had come to him after two bad experiences within a year with two different dentists. The work that I needed to have done was very extensive. His equipment is state of the art. My temporary cap that he put on my wisdom tooth felt like a real tooth and caused me little or no discomfort. The numbing technique that doesn't leave your face, lips and tongue with a swollen effect. If you are looking for a good dentist then you've found him. Her staff are bright and accommodating, they work with YOUR schedule, not with theirs. Her hygienists are knowledgable, to the point where they take the time to instruct me on anything I'm doing right or wrong with home care. The office space is a great environment, new equipment and spacious layout. There's a focus on sterility, as all the dental utilities are wrapped before each use. Dr. Lee has surrounded herself with a caring and friendly group - exactly the type of local business I want to support. And Dr. Lee is an excellent dentist - she gives me the pros and cons of certain procedures, what is best for the long term.
