By the time I left, I had treatment plan that would cost me $10,000 out of pocket. I had to ask for the cleaning. Clearly the doctors plan was to make money and the cleaning was irrelevant. You might have thought the dentist had a hose to work with because I was soaked by the end of the cleaning. Worst experience ever. Absolutely no concern or apologies for drenching me. Sure, he captured me with using laser to do all of his work, but he's still a dentist! Seriously, he is one of only twenty one master's of the academy for laser dentistry in the world, the whole wide world! He is also one of the only dentists around who use the velscope which detects cancer under the surface of the mouth. He is into whitening programs, where he can do it for you or you can purchase supplies to do it at home. Unless you are a bad patient like I am, he will always use laser to clean your teeth and get rid of any signs of decay. If you are a good patient you will never hear the hums of those drills, feel the scraping for tartar and never have to spit blood again. He's still a dentist and I still cry when he sticks the mirror in my mouth! Seriously folks, he has a good staff, he sees most of the patients, waits can be long because he will take emergencies first. The office is in a huge house type setting, kept extremely fresh and clean and well decorated. The waiting room is like sitting in a huge family room with couches, comfortable chairs, a TV, magazines and a fireplace. I was rushed and actually experienced discomfort for the first time ever at the dentist. I have very good dental hygiene so there was nothing that difficult about my cleaning. I was actually hurt during this rushed process and was nearly gas lit into getting xrays when I know I've had them done in the past 7 months. Not to mention my top left quadrant was not polished but i did not say anything because i needed to get out of the chair. I don't care if the front desk girl called out that is not grounds for malpractice. I'm beyond livid and disgusted. My husband and son both had positive experiences here but will not be returning as I do not trust this woman with my child's care. I've attached a photo so it can be seen what was done to me with a basic cleaning!!!!! With no visible cavities I was told. It was an assembly line and I've never been more disturbed. It did take awhile and because of my insurance I had the bottom done first (the kind that's "glued" in, then got my uppers this year. (The removable kind). I understand what I was told so a little puzzled as to why I had to come back more than a few times to get them. But when they were done everything fit well. The only problem was with the top dentures. I start bringing my tongue up and "chomp" because of the metallic stuff on the dentures. It just felt funny and when I a fellow associate of DR. A she just said it's something to get used to! Why? I know some dentures can be made with a clear coating. She said because of my poor bone structure in my mouth that wasn't feasible?? Like I said I speak and comprehend English better than most but at times the communication was not what it should be. PRO ~ they don't "rush you" and take their time and he is the first dentist i had where the needle didn't "hurt" badly. And again Jeanine the dental hygienist is the best!
