dr Farr is the worse doctor that I ever had the misfortune to work with. He starts screaming and yelling and throwing instruments. UNPROFESSIONAL!!

This doctor's office [Dr. Farr's office] is extremely unprofessional and deeply concerning. The…read moreStockton (formerly Manteca) location appears to be staffed by only one person, making timely patient care virtually impossible. Over the course of four consecutive days, I placed 18 calls per day, each time receiving a recording stating they were "helping other patients" and would return my call within 24 hours. No one ever called back. The only way I was able to reach the office was by calling from a different phone number, at which point I was told the doctor is based in San Jose and only comes to the Central Valley two days per month. This critical detail was never disclosed upfront. As a result of this lack of transparency and responsiveness, my 91‑year‑old uncle, who broke his hip and underwent hip surgery, has now been in pain for three weeks without proper follow‑up care. This is unacceptable and potentially dangerous for an elderly post‑surgical patient. The receptionist should have clearly communicated the doctor's extremely limited availability from the start. Operating a practice this way--especially while treating vulnerable, elderly patients--is irresponsible. Note: with the doctor only being in office two days a month, it's obvious they are not "helping other patience" as the recording states. This was a truly unacceptable office experience.

I was told I had fluid in my knee, and needed my orthopedic surgeon to check it out. I got an appointment today 11/5 to make sure it's not something serious. I was called by the front desk woman on Thursday, telling me they needed to update my insurance and they would check it and get back to me. Friday, I had the same thing happen and still no one checked my insurance which I was not aware of. I got the day off, drove from Sacramento to come all the way to Manteca for Dr.Pettigrew to look at the fluid in my knee and tell me how we proceed. I was told at the desk that they don't can't take my insurance since I'm not on HPSJ anymore I'm just straight Medi-Cal. After talking to the nurse Allie, I am appalled at how she talks and cares for people in her office. Coming from a nursing student, and someone who wants to make a difference and help people in their time of need I can tell she doesn't care about anyone but herself, and her paycheck. I asked for Dr.Pettigrew to come out and speak to me (which he didn't, and that's rude in itself) she came out with a full blown attitude and told me they won't take my insurance (obviously). I told her I'm a single mom, and needed the money from working today if they weren't going to take me they should have called and expressed that after they called me twice already. I asked her if she knew anyone who did take straight medi-cal and she said "that's not my job". She should NOT be working in a place for patients if she's not going to be THERE for the patients. I told her she had a bad review coming and she walked away when I needed to still ask for my records. She yelled "I'll send them" as she walked away without even confirming if she had my email. Women like her should be plucked out of the medical industry because people like her only care about the bottom line. I am also upset at Dr. Pettigrew. If a patient wants to speak to the doctor, he should be able to give me a few minutes to talk to me instead of sending a nurse who couldn't care less. I would give 0 stars if I could. WATCH OUT FOR NURSE ALLIE

I left my hotel and headed straight there. (I left my emergency bag behind shifting my work things out of my car and back into my home before our family trip.) I was so impressed and grateful with how quickly everyone here worked to get my son the care he required. The service here was phenomenal. Within minutes of checking in, my son and I made our way back for vitals then we were in a room. Dr. Andrews and his team gave him an xray, ran a few tests, gave him a breathing treatment and sent us on our way after sending our prescription into a local pharmacy. I'm so thankful for the thorough care my son received here and can't thank everyone working for taking such great care of my little guy. Thank you, I'll never forget it.

He was open about including my husband at all of my appointments, as my husband was the one providing my in-home care. My husband felt very confident in Dr. Than, as I did. He was very clear about the non-weight bearing restrictions & the time frame for those restrictions. It's amazing to see my scar, now three months after the surgery. It is so faint you can barely see it. My friends are amazed at how wonderfully my incision has healed & so quickly. Dr. Than is very thorough in his pre-op preparation. I have a bleeding disorder & had a pulmonary embolism almost 20 years prior, following a back surgery. I also have asthma & some minor heart issues. Dr. Than made sure I had all the pre-op tests & approvals from my specialists, prior to the surgery. In regard to recovery, Dr. Than has referred me for Physical Therapy & is confident I will regain all of the functions of my leg & knee I had prior to my accident.
