When I asked for outside information re my conditions, Heron suggested materials to help change my life style. I also consulted with another surgeon at a well-known medical group in S CA After seeing both surgeons, I was so impressed with Dr Qureshi's technical knowledge, calm demeanor, presentation and reputation, that I met with him a second time with my husband present. I underwent my laminoplasty and stayed 2 nights at John Muir Medical in Wslnut Creek. The care there was phenomenal. Dr Qureshi is very respected by the staff there and they commented on his abilities and concern for his patients. My surgery went perfectly and my recovery is still moving forward. I only had to wear my c-spine collar for 12 days and my crsys showed perfect placement of the titanium plates/hinges. Thank you Dr Qureshi for all you do and the the manner in which you do it- I highly recommend him, along with his tram at John Muir. His PA, Kelsey, is a phenomenal practitioner as well. Dr. Onibokun and his team reached out and arranged an in-person follow-up appointment to address everything I had questions about. They were patient, thorough, and took the time to go through my imaging and treatment options in detail. All of my questions and concerns were addressed -- something I had felt was missing from the initial phone consultation. The willingness to follow up and ensure I felt heard as a patient made a meaningful difference. Chronic pain is a complex journey and finding a physician who is willing to engage thoughtfully and take concerns seriously matters enormously. I appreciate the effort the clinic made to make that happen. Updating my rating to reflect this experience.

I was called by the front desk woman on Thursday, telling me they needed to update my insurance and they would check it and get back to me. Friday, I had the same thing happen and still no one checked my insurance which I was not aware of. I got the day off, drove from Sacramento to come all the way to Manteca for Dr.Pettigrew to look at the fluid in my knee and tell me how we proceed. I was told at the desk that they don't can't take my insurance since I'm not on HPSJ anymore I'm just straight Medi-Cal. After talking to the nurse Allie, I am appalled at how she talks and cares for people in her office. Coming from a nursing student, and someone who wants to make a difference and help people in their time of need I can tell she doesn't care about anyone but herself, and her paycheck. I asked for Dr.Pettigrew to come out and speak to me (which he didn't, and that's rude in itself) she came out with a full blown attitude and told me they won't take my insurance (obviously). I told her I'm a single mom, and needed the money from working today if they weren't going to take me they should have called and expressed that after they called me twice already. I asked her if she knew anyone who did take straight medi-cal and she said "that's not my job". She should NOT be working in a place for patients if she's not going to be THERE for the patients. I told her she had a bad review coming and she walked away when I needed to still ask for my records. She yelled "I'll send them" as she walked away without even confirming if she had my email. Women like her should be plucked out of the medical industry because people like her only care about the bottom line. I am also upset at Dr. Pettigrew. If a patient wants to speak to the doctor, he should be able to give me a few minutes to talk to me instead of sending a nurse who couldn't care less. I would give 0 stars if I could.
