I called the front desk today, excited to make an appointment with a doctor that so many people have spoken highly of. Unfortunately, my experience with the receptionist was extremely disappointing. I was genuinely looking forward to meeting this amazing doctor that everyone talks about, but after the way I was treated by the front desk, I no longer feel comfortable pursuing care at this office. First impressions matter, and the interaction I had left me feeling frustrated and unwelcome. Dr. Ziegler has moved to a new location on Sunset Road in Las Vegas. It's a new place but with the same excellent service for your physical therapy needs. He is also a board-certified family medicine doctor. I've been coming here as needed for several years, and his treatments have all helped my condition. Affable, professional, and with a sense of humor. He genuinely cares about his patients, has a superb bedside manner, and is an excellent clinician. He is everything you want in a doctor! I have been seeing Dr. Ziegler for nearly eight months now and am almost ready to be released. I have been treated for whiplash and shoulder pain after a car accident and have made steady progress with the treatments twice each month. Dr. Zeigler is skilled in reducing the pain and he has been encouraging and compassionate during the whole process. He patiently answers my questions and is genuinely concerned with my level of discomfort at each visit. I would recommend him to anyone. His Office Manager Elizabeth has been friendly and helpful at each appointment. She has a big smile and often says something that makes me laugh. She has treated me and the other patients that I have seen at my visits with courtesy and respect. She graciously schedules appointments that least affect my work week. It's been awhile since I've been pain free. Came here for lower back pain and was referred by Nellis AFB. Very clean establishment including all the equipment used. Dr. Ziegler is an awesome guy that knows his stuff and really nice to talk to on the side about anything in mind. My treatment every visit consisted of heated electro-therapy to loosen my muscles followed by compression to the well needed areas. To finish off, he aligns me thus releasing all the gasses built up in my joints. I walked out of the office every treatment feeling like I could run a marathon! But I'll leave all that to Terri R. Lol. With only 7 one hour sessions and one medical injection, my lower back has been pain free so far and I tend to be much more careful with physical duties at work. The rest of the staff was very nice including Helen who assisted me with the heated therapy. As much as I'd like to visit, I hope not to... anytime soon at least. read more

Dr. Ziegler has been the only physical doctor I've seen that been able to give me real complete pain relief after I mysteriously started having unrelenting pain in my back last year. I was in pain whether standing, sitting or sleeping and didn't know what was wrong with me as i am pretty healthy and active. Neither Chiropractors, massage therapists or other alternatives were able to give me any relief or explain what was going on with my body. FRONT STAFF RUDE and INSULTING!!!! This is my first time here as a TriCare referral. I walked in with Helen looking out the window. Waited for a few minutes staring at her stare at the window. The other lady finally threw paperwork at me. Walked back up to hand it back in and Helen is now staring at the opposite wall. Said "excuse me" a few times and was ignored. The other lady helped me out again and when I had a quick question, she was on the phone but acknowledged me. I asked if Helen worked here and finally she looked at me up and down and said "YES! I can't hear you over the radio!" As I looked at the volume button on the radio in front of me. I asked for a time frame to be seen (20 min after appt time)and she rolled her eyes and went back to check. As she's walking back to the front, she loudly says "this one has a rude attitude." Wow. So I talk to the one who helped me about how rude Helen is and how I didn't appreciate that comment. Helen stomps back and says "I wasn't ignoring you I couldn't hear you and I don't even work in the front!" I said as a business you don't ignore customers/clients. You saw me and ignored me twice. Even if you don't work in the front area, a little acknowledgement would be nice. So she stood at attention and clasped her hands together and threw on a fake smile and said "HI!" The other lady apologized and Helen snarled at her to not apologize for her. Wow. Luckily she "worked" in the back and had to take vitals. Now she called me "hun" and continued her passive aggressiveness. *Just met the doc and he is nice and personable. It's a shame his staff give him bad reviews. I reviewed the business on here before coming and there were a few others with complaints about the front staff too. read more

I have had hip pain for almost 1 year now. I spent 6 months in physical therapy where they continually told me the problem was bursitis (although it did not register on my MRI). Then I saw an orthopedic who gave me a heavy anti-inflammatory to take (although I informed him that I was trying to get pregnant). Finally, my OBGYN referred me to Dr. Ziegler for osteopathic treatment. I had no idea what to expect, but I was praying that he could find a more natural solution that didn't include medication. All I can say is WOW! My pain was greatly reduced about 2 days after my appointment. I expect that after a couple more visits I will feel better than ever. My only complaint is that I had to wait almost 2 hours after my appointment time to actually see the doctor. I finally left about 3 hours after I arrived. I'm not sure if maybe they were short staffed, but the nurse assured me that this was not the norm. Either way, the results were well worth my wait! First of all, don't expect to be greeted kindly when you enter or call the office. The staff is not polite... I was referred to Dr. Ziegler for back pain I had for about 2.5 months. Upon seeing him the first time he said it was an easy fix and I will be well in no time. 6 visits later and the pain was still there (= 6 months of pain). Each and every time I tried to explain that the pain was still there, felt the same, and wasn't getting any better. Dr. Ziegler proceeded to tell me that these things take time and I just needed a few more visits...naive me, believed him. So I was approved more visits with Dr. Ziegler. After a few more visits and no success, I began to worry. I had acupuncture, X-rays and an MRI which all came back normal, but the pain was still there! Dr. Ziegler also gave me 4-5 shots but it only masked the pain for a day or two. Finally, I ran out of visits again and went back to the military flight doc for a resolution. I was frustrated beyond words. Sitting at 8 months of pain and discomfort, I just wanted relief. I told him I did not want to go back to Dr. Ziegler. Although he is a nice person, I did not feel like he was actively listening to me or my concerns. I felt like b/c I was military, I was an easy customer to him. Another OMT came in same day and adjusted/manipulated my back within 5 minutes I was feeling immensely better. He believes I had a dislocated rib (from an extremely tight hug sitting down from a very big/strong friend). Long story short, if you feel in your gut something is not right and the doctor is not meeting your needs/concerns, get another opinion. Don't go back to the same doctor if they're not improving your health. read more

This is not the first time I sat down to write a review of Dr. Ziegler. Once or twice before I've started writing this piece and aborted. Why? I'll admit it. It's because I'm afraid that everyone will catch on and I'll never be able to get another appointment. Dr. Ziegler is an osteopath. Google it sometime. But to quickly bring you up to speed, an osteopath uses physical manipulations to cure your ailments. Sounds a lot like a chiropractor, right? Wrong. Osteopathy is not quackery. And it isn't based on a series of re-occurring treatments. As a matter of fact, that's one of the things I like best about Dr. Ziegler - he aims to heal, not to keep you coming back. One visit usually clears up whatever my problem is, and only once or twice have I had to come back for a second visit. Anyway, so my family & I primarily use Dr. Ziegler for physical ailments, usually back problems. (I mention it because I don't know how diverse of a field of ailments he treats.) When I show up for my appointment, maybe I sit a few minutes in the waiting room, but usually I'm taken back immediately. In the back, you're presented with what looks like a massage table. You lay down, the nurse puts some electrodes on your back, covers you up with a hot blanket, and turns the lights down on her way out the door. 10-20 minutes later, your muscles are nice and loose and your ready to see the doctor. Dr. Ziegler asks what kind of problems your having and then goes about and does his adjustments. His adjustments are kinda like a targeted mini-massage combined with (for lack of a better term) chiropractor-like adjustments. Before you know it, you're on your way out and on your way to recovery. I don't always walk out his office 100% pain free, but I always leave in much better condition than when I started. So this might sound more like a 5 star review of osteopathy, but here are some reasons why I like Dr. Ziegler specifically: - He's very friendly and easy to chat with. A genuinely nice guy. - His staff keep up the same standard of friendliness, and always do what they can to accommodate you (help with last minute appointments, billing issues, etc) - He's not too hard to visit. He has a fairly convenient location (right off the 2-15), and you can usually get an appointment in a reasonable time frame). - He's not a quack, and in addition to physical manipulations, he's not averse to sending you home with some prescriptions for pain medicine when necessary. There it is. I heard about him through word of mouth, and all of my friends who I've sent to him have sworn off their chiropractors. Next time your back is bothering you, give Dr. Ziegler a try. read more

Well I have read nothing but great reviews and I am currently sitting in the docs office waiting to be seen after being here for 1hr 45 mins after my scheduled appointment. The staff up front is lazy and they are not proactive at all. I set there listening to personal conversations and everything else that crossed their mind that was non work related. How about calling your clients to let them know how far behind the Doc is... I hope this man walks on water as its go an be hard to get me to change my mind on this review! read more

I read all the reviews on yelp and was a little worried when I made my first appointment. Few days later I called back in to change the date for my appointment..........No problem, said a very nice lady on the phone.........How nice, but then again, I had to change the second appointment as well, I was a little worried making that call, because one of the comments was, that everyone was rude, or didn't care, or you had to wait on the phone forever. But again, I got a friendly.......oh I am sorry and the friendly lady gave me a 3rd appointment without any grieve, or charging me. Still a little hesitant I went to my first appointment, I was greeted by the office staff with a big smile and with concern as to how I was doing, have a seat please. .....So far so Good, was my impression. After a few minutes a very nice Nurse called me to the back, took my vitals and again, she warm heartedly ask me how I was doing, she showed me sympathy and made me feel understood and sincerely said........Dr Ziegler will take good care off you.....Oh wow how very nice..........Now I started to wonder why the internet was full with all these rude remarks!! Shortly Dr. Ziegler came into the room, very professional, very kind and very understanding to my needs. I was treated and send on my way........almost pain free for the first time in forever. I can only recommend Dr. Ziegler and his staff, I am looking forward to my next appointment. Oh if the music in the waiting room is to loud for you..........A Nice.....can you please turn the music down...... wouldn't hurt the people who complain the loudest!!!!!!!!!!! Dr. Ziegler has helped me considerably. I have a long standing hip condition that is much better for having been treated by Dr. Ziegler. The pain is diminished. I called after 1pm but the phone was answered in an impatient rush with one word, "DrZeiglersOffice." No greeting, no introduction by whomever was answering the phone. I asked if Dr. Zeigler was accepting new patients and the cigarette-voiced woman responded with "Depends on what for, dear." I was not only taken aback by the patronizing familiarity from a female speaking to me for the first time, but also by.the statement designed to make me figure out the rest of the interaction in order to proceed further. Very odd. I simply replied, "My arm," whereupon she replied "Hold on," and put me on hold to listen to a very loud rap-reggae song (after the second song, I figured it out to be a local radio rap-rock station.). After several minutes, another lady picked up and again hurriedly responded with the "DrZeiglersOffice." Again I asked the same question, received a "what for?" (without the endearment this time) whereupon I replied, "my arm" again. After asking for more detail about my arm, she apparently deemed me fit for the doctor's examination and asked me about my insurance coverage. I replied "Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Card PPO", to which she immediately replied "he doesn't accept Blue Cross." Now I am sure she didn't hear or care to hear the BLUE CARD PPO, but instead lumped me into the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that BCBS must also provide under Obamacare. I am a UNION welder-pipefitter that pays $10 out of every HOUR I work into the union's health insurance fund and I have built 20K in a union reserve fund for those times I am not actively working. In other words: it's STELLAR health insurance. This doctor's office stood everything to gain by taking me and any fellow union brothers/sisters I might have referred to him. By this time, what with the apparent too-busyness of the office to be polite, the medical intake questions and the uninformed insurance office policy, I gathered the gist of this office and was no longer interested in engaging in further or future conversation with this office staff. I politely said, "Okay, thank you. By the way, why does everyone ask "what for? when inquiring if the doctor is accepting new patients?" She replied, "He doesn't do primary care." Rude thoughtless inconsiderate.I Arrived 9:45 am for a 10:15 am app. At 11am I was moved to the patient room from 11;30 to 12 I overheard Dr Ziegler engaged in a personal conversation catching up with friend/patient at 12:01 pm. I left. This was not a case of a person was being helped, this was I could care less about the person who has waited over two hours and I am going to catch up with my friend. Good luck getting past the gestapo. I recently moved here from Chicago and was searching for a new primary care doctor. My provider listed Dr. Ziegler but, when I called, the woman who answered the phone was abrupt and said that he was not doing primary care. I then asked if I could make an appointment to see him about an arthritic shoulder since that was his declared specialty. She put me on hold for awhile, came back on and asked for my name and phone number. I could tell by her voice that she wasn't the least bit interested in me or my shoulder. She said she would call me back but never did. Dr. Ziegler may be good but I'll never know because I went to the second choice provider and got an appointment. I can only hope that the good doctor realizes that his business is being undermined by his not-so-friendly receptionist. Not a great way to build a practice. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Z since he came to Clark County, and I am so much better for it. He has kept me in pretty good shape, and able to deal with chronic pin. If he can't cure your pain, it will be greatly diminished. He is compassionate and cares about his patients. If he can't help, he refers the patient to another physician. He's fun to talk to as well. Elizabeth and Helen are wonderful and will try hard to manage an appt for you if needed. At the same time they don't overbook so patients have to wait long periods of time. I was referred to this office from NAFB for back pain during my pregnancy. I am currently sitting in the office and it is not a positive experience so far. My appointment was at 10:30 and I arrived about 5 minutes early after the 50 minute drive from my home. I waited in the waiting room for over 10 minutes without being acknowledged. There wasn't anyone in the office when I arrived. When two women finally came up, I heard my name get called to come to the counter. I then stood and waited while the receptionist was on the phone with a personal matter about her home. She got off the phone and I still wasn't greeted. Instead I received an, "ID and insurance card". I gave her my info and I was handed some papers and told what to fill out. I filled it out quickly and there I sat and waited. The front office was so hot I felt like I was going to pass out. They had a speaker pointed at the lobby with the radio on that was way too loud for an office setting. Finally at 11:08 I was called back. I had my temp and blood pressure checked by the assistant, who was actually a nice person. Now here I am in a treatment room almost one hour after my appointment time waiting. And waiting. And waiting. Meanwhile I sit here hungry, hot and tired. read more
