I go in for a hair cut, nothing complicated, a 2 on the sides and back faded to a one and a trim on top, that's it. Jeff and a blonde woman were the only people in the shop and after waiting about 45-50 minutes for a little 5year old kid to get his haircut, I'm up next and get it cut by the woman.
She's really nice and I believe I'm getting a decent hair cut but don't quite understand why I'm not facing the mirror.. So about 45 minutes go by and without touching the front or the top which is ridden with split ends and dead hair, she begins putting gel in my hair without asking me. I then ask her if she got the split ends in the front of my hair to test her and see if she would fix it or lie about it, and she chose to lie and say she got them... right then I knew I was going to have a problem with the quality of my hair cut and that I was going to have to go back in to get the owner to fix it. I knew if she lied about something so blatant and obvious as to not cut my split ends, something else HAD to have gone wrong.
I go back home to take all the product out of it so I can actually see what it looked like without hair spray caked in it (since I wasn't given that opportunity in the barber shop) and I notice a number of issues. The top of my head wasn't touched at all so it's the same exact length I had before coming in, no trim. The sides and the back are cut at a 2 but the fade down to a 1 was uneven and looked horrible. I thought it couldn't get worse until I brushed my hair down on the sides and back near the hairline and notice all the hair along my hairline was a lot longer than a 2 but 1/2 as long as the hair on top so if I decided not to wear product in my hair, I'd be walking around looking like a monk or like coconut head from neds declassified school survival guide. My hairline was also an inch HIGHER than it was when I came in so if whoever was going to fix this mess wanted to cut off all this unnecessary hair on my hairline to make it even with the 2 on the sides, then the remaining hair would look like a Mohawk while if they made the hair on my hairline even with the top of my head, then I'm losing 4 inches of hair.
The next day I go in so I can get it fixed and after arguing for 5 minutes on who was cutting my hair, Jeff finally agreed to do it. Then after seeing a Trump sticker next to his chair, I didn't want my facts about this hair screw up to become alternative facts, so I turned on my tape recorder app on my phone and sat in his chair while he argued with me for 20 minutes about how it was my fault my hair looked like this, he wouldn't accept the pictures I had as proof on the quality of my haircut, and after the 20 minutes of arguing went by, he finally began to half-ass the fixing of my haircut. 10 minutes go by (probably a record for him since it takes him 1 hour to cut 1 persons hair) and the hair I spent 3 years growing out is chopped off to accommodate the mistake made the day before.
Anyway... If anyone wants a shitty haircut and horrible customer service, come on down to Jeff's Barbershop where the customer is never right even when they are and employees are only hired based on looks, not experience.
Jeff,
Despite getting a bad hair cut by that woman who is "independently contracted" by you, all I expected when i came in to get it fixed was a store owner who was happy to sit me down, listen to what went wrong and what I didn't like about that mess you call a haircut, and a solution with no hassle. I wanted more than anything else for my negative experience to turn into a positive one but for some reason you tried your hardest to make it even WORSE. You could've gone a completely different way but you couldn't stop for 5 seconds to get your head out of your pompous a** to fix a mistake YOU should've claimed responsibility for... I'll be sure to tell as many people as possible how horrible this place was by using my facts (not alternative facts) such as the before and after pictures of my hair and the recording I made :) read more
