Love it. Just love it. This is a place I can see as a getaway repeatedly, as there's so many…read moredifferent ways to experience a vacation here. The nature scenery is breathtaking. The wildlife is overall captivating (mosquitoes can be a nuisance depending on when you go). There is an overpriced market and a disappointingly stocked gas station convenience store. You probably want to bring some kind of water filtration or cases of bottled water, as the water from the tap can be rather sulfuric, and that's evident in the water they serve fountain style at restaurants too (my wife could even taste it in her Diet Coke!). All that aside, you can load up at Buc-ee's before you come, as it's on the way, and you can enjoy taking it easy, going for walks...we once found an armadillo on the side of the road! It is touristy and expensive, unless you camp and pack your own food, but the nature and variety of beaches here is compelling! Maybe you'll even spot a turtle? I haven't seen one outside of the sanctuary yet, but I almost might be here at the wrong time of year for it. Will almost certainly be back!

If you are looking for a beach experience, keep driving to Florida. This is not really a nice…read morebeach and is considered natural. You can only really go to the beach during low tide. There is not a ton to do either. If you want to waste money on the turtle or dolphins tours because you have never seen them before, do it. The shopping is lackluster and the events are pretty lame. The kicker is they charge $10 per day just to be on this Island. They don't have Pickelball, the service at the restaurants isn't the best. The only thing that is nice, was the house we rented. Our parents rented a smaller version through Parker Kaufman and it was horrible. The furniture stands and the bed sank into the middle. overall we do not recommend anyone from the outside are to come here. driving an extra hour to FL will be more worth your money.

Racist to Melenated Indigenous Americans. The issue I have is it depends on your background/culture…read moreand if you know people. I know nobody out here. When I connect with people, minority or not; they are rude. I also was called the n word, Nov 2024 first day I arrived in Brunswick, GA. A lot of sun down town personas in Brunswick, GA, be careful please. If you exp racism out here, other minorities won't care and will even cosign the racism. The minorities are cliche and only fool with people they know or go way back with, no new friends. I am also disabled and they are evil to disabled minorities down here. Will be moving in Jan can't take it here anymore. Only pro is the beautiful palm trees: which helps my ptsd, anxiety, and depression.

I'm from Brunswick Ga. A small town a lot of people probably never heard of. It's about 1hr and 45…read moremin from Savannah Ga and about 4 1/2 hrs from Atlanta Ga. Our small city is lucky enough to have two tourist attractions Jekyll Island and St Simons island they both have hosts and hosts of great restaurants and shops not to mention the hotels and scenic views of the beaches, beautiful moss hanging from old oak trees, beautiful ocean life, bridges, peers etc. yeah I grew up in the small town of Brunswick Ga. I went to Glynn Academy High School and frequented the Weenie Wee Wagon a little shack with Amazing food I highly recommend if you ever visit Brunswick Ga to try this place and order the Pork chop sandwich it looks ugly but it tastes beautiful lol. I loved going to Jekyll Island to the Summer Waves water park with my family and walking on the Jekyll island beach ahhh the memories :) I remember waking up early in the summer time on Saturday morning and we all piled up in the van with mom and dad and went to(I know this sounds funny but) The Massengale Beach on St Simons Island and had a blast all day long man the memories are really starting to flow now thinking about my dads famous bbq's on that beach. The laughter and enjoying family. I miss my home town but I don't want to move back I'm to use to Houston Tx now lol. But we will defiantly buy a home or have one built there as a nice vacation home. So if you ever go to Brunswick Ga these are the places I recommend going too. I hope this review was helpful have a great day.:)
