Because of extremely strong thunderstorms storms, Detroit Airport declared a ground stop. In mid-air, my plane changed its destination from Detroit to Columbus! We sat on the tarmac in Columbus for close to two hours. Finally we left, but took a longer route to Detroit. Jim McDermott sat patiently for roughly three and a half hours waiting for me to arrive. He was professional, friendly, and drove well. I hesitate to use the word hero, but gosh I so appreciate that he waited so long. Tom Baer hires the best people. When I previously used the service, those drivers were also friendly and professional. All businesses should be run as well as BG Airport Shuttle. I give the highest recommendation. I can only give 5 stars. I wish I could give 10.

CONS: The price has gone up quite a bit the last few years, making Uber or Lyft a less costly choice if money is the deciding factor. They have tacked on a cancellation fee of 5% that they don't disclose. I recently booked a trip to the airport for the end of the following month. The trip was canceled within hours. the $300.00 had been immediately charged to my credit card, but it's more than a week since, and the account has yet to be credited. when I called I was told of the 5% cancellation fee. That should be disclosed in advance. Both legally and ethically. A reservation canceled within hours should not come with a fee. Since that is the only issue I have had in over 3 years of using the service I deem it a good transportation option over all.

Unfortunately this place has a contract with Ohio Health Mansfield. Hospital, which is probably the…read moreonly (I really hope that will be ending soon if I have anything to do with it) As I waited for over 5 hours for the taxi to come (I was quoted an hour and a half max.) I discussed with the personnel and the management about how horrible they are. After 8 days of being in the hospital I was obviously ready to go home. Ohio Health called probably no less than six times asking what the holdup was. When the cab finally did arrive, it was an old beat up Volkswagen with a temporary tag and every single light on the dash was on. The car had over 200,000 miles on it, the driver said his window did not roll down and you could smell the muffler and emissions. Knowing that I was angry, the driver proceeded to tell me he was late for work today that someone else had to drive him, and then they had to go to McDonald's where the cab car was sitting and his boss had to go with him to get gas. This was all why I was waiting from the sound of it they did not even have a driver available. The car jumped out of gear 3 or 4 times and did not want to shift and I honestly did not think we were even going to make it to my house. Along the ride the driver also used his cell phone to take a personal call which is illegal in Ohio. I really hope the folks at OhioHealth keep their word and get this contract canceled. Don't waste your time, there are plenty of Uber and Lyft drivers that will be on time and will be in safe vehicles. This company does not even need to be on the road, it was the worst experience ever with this kind of company.
