Jellyfish Museum was a very cool experience. I bought the admission tickets for two adults online and we were admitted almost right away. We were able to see various kinds of jelly fish from up close which was a unique experience. They have different jelly fish tanks with descriptions of where they can be found in the world and how they are. There were a lot of kids running around and screaming so it was hard to have a conversation with my fiancee. There was no restraint and kids were able to be kids. The whole walk through was short. The place seemed decent size from the outside but even with us talking our time, we were finished in half an hour. Based on how cool the whole experience was we would definitely visit again in the future with our nieces and nephews. The place offers limited parking so it's a bit inconvenient, but as I have shared, the experience is quick so you choose to wait. read more

I would give it ten stars if I could!! This was an absolute amazing visit, and it was well worth the travel. My daughter is obsessed with jellyfish and while I may not know everything, I found the signs around very informative and helpful! The staff were helpful, and I would highly recommend taking a tour. I really can't overstate how lovely our guide Naphtali was. Some may say that they passed through quickly, but we stayed and were entertained for three hours. The only "warning" I would give is that there were lots of families with young kids, so be careful where you step! Small and could probably be walked through in 30+ minutes if you didn't read everything. But the information and details are well done. read more

This place is very cool and fun to look at but small and not worth the hefty admission fee. Even with a teachers discount it came to 70 dollars for 3 people. I could see that for a larger museum that price but this isn't big enough. The exhibits are cool but small and the signage is difficult to read in some areas. There was a nice staff member who answered our questions. The parking is free so that's also a plus but make sure you scan the inside sign. There's also only 2 single stall bathrooms in the entire place. Overall it's a cool tourist attraction but needs a price decrease to be worth the visit. read more

A jellyfish museum in Pompano Beach! I came with my godson, cousins, and partner on a Friday and it wasn't too busy. They have a Florida resident discount and grabbing a ticket at the front was easy. The museum as a whole isn't too big but a good size for being a museum all about jellyfish. I think this is a great spot to take kids if you're in the area! I have an adoration for jellyfish (from afar) so it was really cool seeing all the different species and learning about them. They had really cool interactive spots where my godson spent a good amount of time. Even I was enamored by the interactive space. A really cool spot for a photo! There was also another large room right before exiting where they had more jelly fish and a large projection on some of the walls. There was also a table where kids could sit and do some puzzles. There's a gift shop at the end, as well. Parking was a breeze with a pretty sizeable lot where the museum is located within. What a lovely museum. Brand new to Pompano Beach and the first jellyfish museum of its kind in the United States. It was created by a husband and wife originally from Ukraine. This will become a major tourist attraction for Pompano Beach due to its uniqueness. Just fyi seniors and Florida residents get a small discount. It is fairly expensive, but if you like anything marine related this should be on your "to see" list. Tours are offered and they are well worth taking the time to learn more about the displays and specimens. Naftalia was well versed and easily explained the differences and characteristics. If she's there, try to take one of her tours! Who knew there were so many types and related types. Some have arms and some have both tentacles and arms. Some can grow huge. Some are just pretty to look at. Some are asexual and some may even be able to choose their gender. Some are hazardous to fishing. Some are hazardous -- or venomous -- to man. All are fascinating. The museum has their own free parking lot right outside the museum. This makes a visit convenient. So glad I stopped by to see this new and interesting museum. read more

We didn't a mini staycation and stayed at the Tru by Hilton across the street. The Jelly museum is easy to find but what I loved is that we made it a weekend adventure. We were able to do the museum, beach, park all in one. The museum is right across from the hotel so it's easy to walk to. My son was super exited and when we arrived, it was very easy to buy tickets right at the front. They have plenty of parking if you drive. They did have Florida resident specials and senior specials which I didn't notice until after for my parents. You can also buy your tickets online. The museum itself isn't that large, so if you're going with a very active child, they will probably zoom in and out of it in like 15 minutes which is why I didn't think it was worth it. However, he did love it and wants to go back. The displays are beautiful and very nice family photo oops with the heart. Of course, we also got him a little jelly fish at the gift store. Overall, great family adventure but would I pay for my son to run through it again in 10-15 minutes probably not but definitely a must do once. read more

The good is that the parking was free, it was dark and well air conditioned, so a nice retreat on a hot day. The bad is that is was pretty expensive and even when taking our time our family was done in an hour. It was more of an Instagram spot/ jellyfish art experience than a museum. Didn't feel it was an educational experience. There was a place to see how your measurement up to the largest jelly fish, but it wasn't set accurately on the floor so you looked shorter than you were. And a few of the signs were hard to read (7ft in the air) or the sentence structure was off. read more

Who knew there was such thing as a Jellyfish Museum in Pompano Beach?! The museum is two blocks off the beach in a former bank building. There is free parking in their lot. Tickets are $24 for adults, but Florida residents are $21. There are many aquariums filled with different jellyfish. There is a sign beside each describing the jellyfish, how large they get and where they live. There is a small gift shop as you exit. There are some great photo ops. We were able to see and read about all the jellyfish in less than one hour. read more

My wife has been watching the progress of this museum since it was first announced. It appears to be housed in what was once a Bank,(Drive thru remnants still present in the rear of structure), and a private parking lot for customers. My wife found a tour guide who gave a private tour and explained the various types of jellyfish along with their individual characteristics. The parking was 80% full, with a steady stream of customers coming and going while we were there. They should do well as an attraction for Pompano Beach. read more

We took our two grandchildren today. It's very small and overpriced. It's underwhelming. The whole thing took us about 45 mins. My grandson was $19. My granddaughter was free and my husband and I were 20$ each. It is cool to look at but the kids were only interested for a brief time. They do have an interactive screen that they enjoyed running around on. Other than that it's like a big fish store. It's nice that it's in the AC and parking is free. Four stars, minus one only because they encourage you to get tickets online ahead of time and then the website says you can only change them 24 hours in advance. I goofed and got tickets for a Saturday instead of Sunday and called to change them. No one answers the phone. Instead, you get a recorded message telling you to contact them online. So we had to swap our plans and go Sat as to not waste the tickets. When we arrived, and asked about that, the person taking the tickets said "Oh you could have just shown up on Sunday, we would have accepted them." Later i did receive an email from them saying the same thing, but since the website says ticket changes ONLY 24 hours in advance and you can't change them after... Otherwise, a fascinating visit. Jellyfish from around the world illuminated by neon lights. It's quite dark inside, and otherworldly. Each tank of jellyfish has a plaque explaining everything about them, from the range of temperatures in the water to habitat to their danger to humans. Educational and fun. They are still fairly new - only opened recently - and I understand there are always kinks to work out. My recommendation, since no one answers the phone when you call during operational hours, is to update the website to let people know they can change their tickets, as long as they are used the following day. read more

Not a museum more a mini aquarium. Display plaques were incorrectly assigned to tanks and not much educational or discovery activities for adults or kids. Would love to see this partnered with community conservation exhibits or add additional art, and exhibit displays with a larger variety of jellyfish. Current set up is 20 min walk through with 12-18 tanks and 4-6 varieties of jellyfish. read more

Without discounts, it would have been close to $70. The website states that the experience lasts approximately 30-45 minutes. We were completely finished in about 15 minutes. The museum consists of only four very small rooms with jellyfish tanks displaying different species. While the jellyfish are beautiful, the space is much smaller than expected. Mirrors are used throughout the exhibits, which create the illusion of a larger museum. My biggest issue is the value. For only a little more money, my family recently spent several hours at a major aquarium with multiple floors, exhibits, and marine animals. By comparison, $64 for a 15-minute visit felt extremely overpriced. After our visit, I asked to speak with a manager but was told no one was available. I then emailed my concerns and received responses that I found dismissive. Rather than addressing the discrepancy between the advertised 30-45 minute experience and the actual visit length, the responses focused on the museum being a "boutique museum" and its no-refund policy. The jellyfish themselves were interesting, but the experience did not come close to justifying the price, and the customer service made the situation even more disappointing. I would not visit again and cannot recommend it based on my experience. if I could than one star, I would with all the attractions in South Florida I would choose to spend my money elsewhere. read more
