Hi everyone, today I went to Butterfly World for the first time. I really enjoyed my experience and highly recommend it. I even bought a pupa to take home. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This place is amazing! I spent hours exploring a ton of cool spots. They had loads of butterflies, beautiful flowers, and the cutest little birds. The blue morpho was my absolute favorite! Huge shoutout to Marty, who shared so many fascinating facts. I had no idea Butterfly World is the only place in Florida where you can see certain butterfly species SO FUN! Great for all ages. Highly recommend

Butterfly World is such a neat place to bring an outdoorsy person to. It's inside Trade Winds park which can have a fee to enter on the weekends, but tell them you're there for Butterfly World and it's free to enter the property. Butterfly World is not free tho. We loved seeing the butterflies going nuts over those grilled bananas!!!! The aviary is neat and the macaws by the bridge are scary but fun. Long live butterfly world!

Great experience visiting today as part of a large group. There were lots of butterflies for us to see immediately upon entering the park. So many different ones. The only disappointing thing was that I bought the food to feed the birds for my group as soon as I walked in without assessing the situation and we were basically force feeding the birds. They were so full but he kept selling more food. We didn't get the photos with all the birds wanting that little bit of food. Still beautiful and great day to be with the birds and butterflies.

Mom & I are visiting from CT, and unfortunately, an illness hit me like a ton of bricks. I was still looking for low key, fun things for us to do, and this was the best! We took our time with the butterflies, and fed the larakeets. (My mom's favorite part.) Thoroughly enjoyed the Chinese button quails and the various colors of every exhibit! I would definitely recommend.

I bet you've seen those videos on TikTok about people in those butterfly enclosures holding birds and having butterflies sit on their heads. Well, this is just the place. From gentle butterflies to cool bugs and birds, this place will wipe all your worries away and leave you inspired by nature. Plus, they play music that's really whimsical to get you in the mood. They also give you a map so you can see where you're going. So this place is actually awesome, and I loved everything.

Various different Butterflies around the World

This is such a wonderful and beautiful experience as a date or family outing. Feeling the birds and watching the various butterflies flying around you was the highlight of the park...

This has been on our bucketlist for a while and we are so glad we made it just in time before a large storm. When we arrived they had already closed off the sanctuary due to lightning warnings but did tell us they may open back up in a hour or so. We decided to risk it and went to the butterfly and bug museums first. Really cool and interesting history and amazing butterflies! If you are interested in bugs they have a lot of interesting ones that is for sure! Luckily as soon as we finished with the museum, they opened back up the butterfly sanctuary. We went right in and saw so much butterfly activity. It was a shock at first with just how many butterflies there were. Absolutely beautiful sanctuary and such stunning butterflies. We were excited to see their bird enclosures too as the birds were quite interesting, colorful, and active. Such a fun experience!

Such a beautiful place. People are so nice. Loved the butterflies and the birds and even the flowers Our 7 years old was so much occupied. The gift shop is so lovely and I could not resist purchasing stuff even when I had no space in my bags. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting this side.

this place is so fun! Brought my 2 year old and she had a blast!! We did two laps and saw birds, butterflies, bees, plants/flowers. It was super hot so all the butterflies were out. I love that they have a few ac stops to cool down

I love spending time at Butterfly World. The annual pass is about $70 and it allows free entry for 12 months. Since butterflies don't live that long (2-4 weeks) it's always good to visit and see what's new...yes, many of the same species are being reproduced in here, but many times I get to see a new kind, a new color, a new size of butterfly. They are closed Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day, otherwise they are open all year round. You never know....on one of your visits, you might have a butterfly lay on your shoulder or shirt. Check it out if you have some time.

Butterfly World Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Butterfly World

Do the butterflies get released to the wild?

We have exotic butterflies and can’t be released in the wild. Our butterflies fly freely in our butterfly aviaries.

How long should we plan for our family's visit to butterfly world? Kids are 9, 7, and 5 so attention spans are limited...is two hours sufficient?

Two hours should be fine. If they have extra energy, Tradewinds park is very large with a lot of open spaces for them to run around, they'll have a great time. Bring a picnic lunch!

Is butterfly world stroller friendly?

Yes it is.

Is this a good rainy day activity?

No, most of the exhibit is outdoors under screens, but exposed to the elements.

It's a small respite in the shade of trees, next to a pond with a stone bench (photo opportunity?) to sit on and reflect. While I don't think it necessitates a visit on it's own it's pleasant to stroll through if you are going to the theater or visiting the art museum. It's definitely a nice place to take pictures if you are all dressed up for the theater. The garden is a wonderful addition to the Coral Springs art complex.

I loved the adorable crochet plants, especially the bonsai. The thing that I think really sets Burs apart is its BYOB: build your own bouquet. For $27.99 you can chose 10 stems of the most beautiful and unusual stems of flowers. The depth of color was amazing and I definitely saw things I have never seen anywhere else. The bouquets being put together were absolutely stunning. I love how you can really add your personalization to the arrangements. After discovering Burs I will never pick up a Publix bouquet again.
