The interactive exhibits make it a fun way to spend an hour or two, whether you're on a date, catching up with friends, or looking for a family-friendly outing. It's not a massive museum, but that's part of its charm. It's easy to explore at your own pace and simply enjoy the art. Food and drink options are limited, but the experience itself is worth the visit. I'll be rooting for this place. What a great find!!!!!! This was such a great experience to incorporate into our date night last night. It all began by being warmly greeted and then walking us over to receive instructions so that we knew what to do and how to best enjoy the exhibits. It was just mind blowing to see and experience what these Amazing Artist have created. We loved how many different installations there were. The immersive ones made you truly feel a part of the exhibit. The staff also walked around and answered questions or pointed out things to fully enjoy a particular exhibit. Mad Arts was a strong experience with my seven-year-old. The space is creative and interactive, and she stayed engaged through most of the exhibits. This is a great creative arts museum with the exhibits changing frequently. They also hold yoga classes and show films here as well. Many of the exhibits were interactive which was fun and there's an area out back where you can play games like corn hole if you want. The museum features exhibits from local as well as international artists. You can check out their website for more info. I was lucky enough to be there during the IGNITE event (which is held yearly) so there was no cost for admission. I think admission is normally around $20 per person if you buy it at the museum but I know Groupon also has sales on admission for the museum. Parking across the street was free. A rare 4.50 from me wholey based on three experiences specifically. I know that exhibits change there features but if you have a chance to view the woman under water, the Lazer room and the picture walls it will have been worth the short time you spend walking through. A bit on the pricey side but no where near the high jacked price as the exhibit in Miami. You can enjoy this place better with a good camera or family/friend photographer. There is a room that you have to pay extra for to be a part of it the only surprise but we passed on the bubbles. Make sure you take your time in the adult hall/room of mirrors it's a unique stroll. Overall the best part to me was the peaceful music led wall of flowers, under side view of a forest and the pin light body. This is a must stop on your days of events on SoFlo. read more

I came here with limited knowledge about the interactive art museum so it was fun to see what was inside. The building is 2 stories with a good handful of installations on both floors. I lucked out & visited during the "IGNITE" event so my admission was totally free as part of their promo! It ranges from $20-$25 & I say it's worth it. There are a ton of visually appealing installations throughout with details about the artist & their work. Some of these installations are completely immersive where you're surrounded by visual & auditory aspects. Some of the pieces encourage you to touch them which cause them to change/react based off what you do. It's fun for everyone, no matter your age. It seemed like there were employees at every installation who were all very friendly. They were welcoming & helpful if you had any questions. I'm sure they were mainly there to keep an eye on guests, but it never felt like you were being stared at or judged. There was also an outdoor area called the "patio" where they offer food & drinks. I didn't go out there but it seemed like a steady flow of people coming in & out. While I was able to go through everything in about an hour, you could definitely take longer if you wanted. I don't know if I'd come back for the same exhibit but I like that they change them occasionally. If you're in the area & it sounds like your thing it's definitely worth checking out. read more

I went there on a free admission as part of ignite festival. This was such a hidden gem. Since I went on the last day of the festival (plus weekend), the parking was full, but I was able to snag a spot. I think the parking space should be more than sufficient on a normal day. They also have a cool outdoor space with exciting cabanas to hang out and eat. There was a burger station with a few food options like hot dogs. Drink menu included beer, wine and sodas. The staff was nice and there was a person at each of the bigger art pieces/rooms available to answer any questions. There were also QR codes at some of the arts which connected to a YouTube video that explained the technology behind it. The museum consisted of two floors. I went at a very relaxed pace and was able to complete the entire thing in 90 minutes. I have seen similar exhibits in Singapore and Dubai which costed a big ticket price. Interactive arts fun in Dania Beach, FL. Discount for FL residence $22.50. The place was very spacious and could hold hundreds of customers but we went during a weekday and only two other couples were attending the event when we were here. Each room had a different themed digital arts set up. The first floor was mostly interactive and the second floor was cool non-interactive arts. Each section had a plaque explaining the art and providing information on the artist. My favorite exhibit was The Hunter, a fifteen minute horror visual motion story. There were plenty of staff walking around to guide you and answer questions. They did not currently sell candy and soft drinks but a kiosk is under construction. The only negative issue was the small rooms were very warm even though the place was empty and did not offer cold water for sale, although they did have a water fountain but you would have to suck out the water from the nozzle since the pressure was almost zero. Very fun place for adults and children and well worth the money. Need about two hours to fully enjoy the experience. The bathrooms were very modern and clean. read more

This place was okay. It feels like there is so much more they could do with this place, maybe some more interactive things. The concept and idea is nice, it just felt like you're in and out pretty quickly. The short "movie" out of the paper display was my favorite thing to see. I feel like there are most likely better art display options in Broward or Miami you could visit and get your moneys worth. It was my first time coming here and I was amazed. I heard about the Ignite Broward and I am so happy that I went to the preview. I love immersive art and both floors are fascinating. Some spaces were more interesting than others and some lines were rightfully long. Lots of children running around, so a good spot for families. I'm sure this place is cool for the right audience... I went in here pretty open-minded. I bought my ticket online and with fees, the Florida resident ticket was about $22. I also went on a Thursday (they're only open Thursday-Sunday). In terms of the art pieces themselves, maybe it's for a different kind of person than myself because, in the best way I can describe, a lot of them felt fake-deep. As in, they tried to be really meaningful and artsy but you're really just like "oh... ok". I did enjoy the meaning and intentions behind a few though. Maybe someone more interested in these types of art would appreciate them more, I guess. My main problems are with the venue itself and its operations. Nowhere does it say that this place is actively under constructions. There were several rooms that were visible to the eye and were closed and clearly being constructed. Worse, though, was the active construction happening on OPEN exhibits. There were people drilling while you're trying to listen to audio exhibits, people on ladders hanging things up while you're inside the exhibit, random tape measures and ladders literally blocking parts of exhibits (there's a part where you use a computer and a ladder literally was blocking the entire desk but the exhibit was still open). I feel like for a place that's only open 4 days a week, why isn't this construction being done on the days it's closed? Or why aren't the tickets being discounted? The place is pretty well-staffed with people all over though I'm not sure if that's just for the construction. I wish the employees were able to talk and give more guidance to the visitors, though, as I think some pieces could do with an expert explanation. One employee actually overheard me being confused about an exhibits and jumped in and explained it really in depth and it actually kind of helped! I wish they could do that more or ask if you'd like to learn more about it. Another thing is I wish they would give you a map or guidance on which way to go throughout the museum as it's really dark and the rooms aren't laid out super clear. My group and I kind of spent the time going "I guess let's go this way". The employee at the front desk was really nice though and explained the rooms on the first floor when we said it was our first time coming. Overall, maybe this place will be nicer once they finish the actual construction as maybe 3 indoor rooms and the entire outdoor section isn't done yet. I just wish they could get that done more orderly without interruption to the experience. read more

Reasonable pricing if you take advantage of the Groupon sale. You can do this in about 30 minutes, but if you slow it down you will get so much more out of it. Heard about the Ignite Broward free events and decided to check out Dania Beach's location--the only indoor one. Upon arrival, GPS took us to the back of the building and we entered through the outdoor part (where the food trucks are at) so it was a bit confusing at first. Once inside, we realized how many different rooms there were, even a second floor! My favorite exhibition was the Korean woman art that was ever changing with 3 screens (wish i would've taken a photo/video). I really was amazed by the amount of immersive art and they had a few interactive ones. It seems like a lot of the themes were surrounding life, the internet, technology, etc. There was 1 exhibition that was really touching as it highlighted where art began and fast forwarding to the effects of social media in today's day. The free event lasted almost 2 weeks and I'm happy i took the time to visit this location because it didn't disappoint! read more

This art gallery is located in the large white box building on Federal Highway. It's most distinguishing feature is the huge Tyrannosaurus skeleton on the west side wall. It is a remaining relic of the time when the building used to be the Graves Museum of Archaeology and Natural History from 1993 until it closed in 2004. The building was left empty until it was purchased by Arron Rimpley and Gregg Whittecar who restored it. The two men were in business of buying and selling ceramics and eventually they moved on to collecting other items of geological and historical importance. The time came when they needed a place to display it all which is when they came upon the Graves building which was suffering from 40 years of neglect. After a lot of hard work and money, they brought the building up to code and opened in 2013. On the second floor is WMODA/Weiner Museum. The first floor used to be the Gallery of Amazing Things. It was a 20,000 square foot event space and they sold unusual specimens, gems, and fossils. Now the first floor is an art gallery for the Dania Beach marketing agency, MAD Arts. They use the art gallery to promote the artists they are working with. Exhibits change every few months. Right now they are hosting a David Carson graphic arts exhibit tied into IGNITE Broward, an annual art festival presented by the Broward County Cultural Division. Light and art exhibits are shown daily in Dania Beach at MAD Arts and nightly in downtown Ft. Lauderdale at Esplande Park. The art exhibit featuring David Carson is titled XHBTN: The Art + Grafik Design of David Carson. It opened on December 4 and runs through February 22, 2022. David Carson is an internationally acclaimed graphic design artist who has been called "one of America's most important artists," by Smithsonian Institute Magazine. This is the largest exhibition of his work to date. Carson has worked on art projects for Microsoft, Macallan, Armani, Porsche, Nine Inch Nails, Nike, Adidas, Bose, Budweiser, Carver Skateboards, Album surfboards, John Coltrane, David Byrne, Armani, Prince, American Airlines, Apple, Samsung, and many others. My favorite art that was on display in conjunction with IGNITE Broward was States of Matter, by Susan Narduli. You go into a room with a mirrored installation and are surrounded by a light based immersive art experience. The third art piece is by south Florida artist Edison Peñafiel who created MAREMAGNVM. It is a large scale video installation that surrounds viewers on all sides. It attempts to convey the immigrant experience with 14 boats and 81 characters who are on a never ending journey. I was so happy to discover this art gallery. I would not have known about it if it wasn't for Ignite Broward. I will definitely be following MAD Arts on Instagram to keep up with what is new. Admission to the first floor gallery is free and there is free parking in a lot across the street. If you visit the museum on the second floor, adult admission is $12. read more

I had seen an ad for this place for several months and final bought a groupon for me and my 9 yr old son. We went with friends that have an 8 yr old(f). I knew it was digital art, and was a little worried my son would get bored. It had enough inactive exhibits to keep his attention. Each room had a unique feel to it and definitely had all of our attention. Both kids enjoyed it and requested to go back to a few rooms at the end. We went on Sunday, and while there were other people and a birthday party (who knew?!, interesting idea), it wasn't crowded so we had penalty of time in each room without feeling rushed. We stayed around over 2hrs 45 mins. Then we headed to Jaxson's Ice-cream Parlor right down the road. A great Sunday afternoon! read more
