I was so overwhelmed by two people trying to figure out how to create a cat eye manicure that by the end of it I did not pay attention to my toes until I go lt home. To my surprise she had left a gap from where the skin is to where the nail polish starts, leaving an outgrown look :( I was so upset!! However, time is of essence and I had to let it be. Four days later my the gel had already chipped, which was incredibly frustrating considering I paid $120.... **One week later** I was in the shower washing my hair and the gel polish kept getting stuck on my hair, I'm not kidding when I say I took the nails off like it was stickers... I attached a photo for reference, I literally took them off in the shower whiteout any issues! I basically paid $120 for garbage. The people working here are shady, and expensive. I would never ever go back and if anybody is thinking about going to this salon I hope this helps, please be careful, save your money and go elsewhere.

However, one morning, I called the place I typically go to in Castro Valley to see my regular nail tech. Then, they told me, she moved. I almost had a heart attack. Lol. Then, they told me that she now owns her own establishment in Pleasanton. So yes, I followed Snow all the way to Pleasanton. It's very rare that I follow anyone ANYWHERE. But this was an exception, and I knew this new place was going to be my home because Snow was there. Needless to say, I don't necessarily care about the establishment. Because it's the people who make the establishment feel like home. So cactus flower nail boutique is my new home because Snow is there. She is such an excellent technician. She pays attention to detail and tries to recreate anything that you want to see brought to life on your nails. She's also an excellent esthetician. My nails and eyebrows are always on point. She is an excellent hostess as well. She offers beverages during your session and serves everything from coffee to bottled water to juices and wine. As someone that values excellent quality. Some areas were so irritated they even bled. I've had my nails done many times elsewhere and have never experienced that level of discomfort. The salon appears to be run by just two people, and the techniques feel outdated. The pedicure "massage" was barely a massage at all, it felt more like cream being spread on my legs for a few seconds even for a delux pedi. The manicure was also very mediocre. My nails weren't cleaned properly underneath, and they even nicked and chipped some of my nails during the service. Overall, the experience was uncomfortable and disappointing from start to finish. The salon itself is clean, but it's usually empty, and after this experience I understand why. I won't be returning and unfortunately can't recommend it based on the quality of service I received.
