The place is welcoming, modern and clean. It is kind of a "hidden gem" off Bernal, next to Verizon towards the back of the same building as Cook's Seafood, Sultan's Kebab and Chipotle. They welcome walk-ins, but it is also super convenient and easy to make appointments online with your preferred technician. Their prices are also listed there. Plenty of parking. Up until very recently, I had never even heard of this place. Very rarely do I visit Pleasanton as I live in the San Ramon/Danville area. However, one morning, I called the place I typically go to in Castro Valley to see my regular nail tech. Then, they told me, she moved. I almost had a heart attack. Lol. Then, they told me that she now owns her own establishment in Pleasanton. So yes, I followed Snow all the way to Pleasanton. It's very rare that I follow anyone ANYWHERE. Everyone I know that goes here (it's actually a good handful) raves about this place. I have been here twice now, and my visits have been "oookaaay". The first time was a couple years ago. Was told "yes" about certain services, and well not only were they not able to follow through, but even the basic mani and polish was choppy and I left a little bloody in a few spots. Two on my toes and one of my pinky. Well fast forward, and my nails girls at my current place are out of the country. So I thought, maybe it was a one off and I'll give this spot another shot. Diff person this time, got just a gel pedi. The girl was soooo rough. I asked her not to clip the sides of my toenails, just the top and file the sides. ( I DO NOT want to risk an ingrown!) Well I had to stop her 3 sep times from doing what I asked her not to. I not only got multiple lil cuts but her technique was, rough, rushed and the pains were not worth asking her to fix; it was gel and had already dried. From the top it looks pretty decent until you zoom in. It's just okay and are edges that are poorly painted. Posted one pic on one of the choppy paint job areas. IDK maybe my girls are just really really good and I have been spoiled. It was hard to relax, there was construction going on next door and it was a lot of banging and drilling. I know not their fault, but with the noise and the experience, I felt like I was living a female version of an Adam Sandler movie. If I decide to go there again, I will ask for one of the men, I hear they're very meticulous and gentler. Aside from my personal experience, they have complimentary drinks and the chairs are amazing! I had my nails done for my wedding here, and they were absolutely beautiful. However, my opinion of the salon changed drastically when I went to remove my gel X tips and do a regular gel manicure. One worker in the salon filed my nails way too much and it felt like I was getting burned. I told her she was hurting me but she just kept going. I have been too scared to touch my nails since then, and now that the gel is coming off, I'm seeing that any more filing would have made me bleed and probably get an infection. Unfortunately this was my first time here and I definitely won't be back. The staff was ok but my toes look horrible. The polish used is not good, it cracked on my toes as it dried, and seems old. The nail tech didn't do a great job...my pedicure felt like a polish change where I had to ask twice to have more of the nail cut-I do not think cuticles were even cut either. So I basically paid 35 bucks for someone to paint my nails not actually give me a pedicure. No lotion was used either in the "massage" which was not good at all. Really disappointed. To add to this, I took my daughter for the first time to get her nails done. I paid 22 bucks for a "color change" where no base coat was put on her finger nails and they spent a total of 5 min on her toes and finger nails. Just an hour later, two of her nails have no polish. Honestly really upset. What kind of business is this? I understand she is two, but how does the whole nail of polish just come off...in less than two hours. She did not pick at her nails either. She was being super careful. Will not be back. Do not come here or just be aware the polish is crap, will come off, and you will waste your money like I did. UGH really really frustrated. Go elsewhere. Their message on here is also untrue. They may have video footage but idk what it is of. My husband was there and witnessed the same thing I did. My pictures also show the job that was done. If you cannot stand behind manicures or pedicures why go here?! They also continued to message me and speak down to me, calling me names like "Missy."Their management further deemed that fixing mine and my daughters nails was "unreasonable". Not that I would have gone back. But if this is their response, I find it Very unprofessional. Never experienced this before from a business owner. Snow did my nails and she was so sweet! She did far better than the inspo pic and my pedicure was the best I've ever had!! Only critique I can give on the pedicure is, and this is totally personally preference, shorter nails on the tech doing the pedicure. When your rubbing the bottoms of the feet with longer length nails it is a little ticklish and hard on the soft skin. But again, still best experience I've had in a long time!! I'm new to the area and so happy I found this spot! The vibe was great and everything was SO CLEAN!! 10/10 read more
