I called her out on it. she did apologize and explain. still, really dont agree with their business model. but hey. its their business. they want to just sell bus tours and cruises? up to them. we decide to book through Dewitt. Bruce has been planning our vacations for the past 38 years. We have never been disappointed with his services over all these years. I am amazed at how many people do not go through a travel agent when planning one of their most expensive purchases of the year. THE CUSTOMER DOES NOT PAY for his services. FREE to you is as good as it gets. He takes the headache, worry, safety issues, knows all the best deals, gets the tickets, boarding passes, insurance - all you do is tell him where you want to go. We worked through Sally V. And the end result was less than desireable! She knew up front that we wanted to gamble on our cruise & led us to believe there was a casino on ship! Imagine our surprise when we boarded then found out there was no casino! Travel Leaders lost a good customer! We will never use Travel Leaders again! We also lost over $200 because we could not connect with a tour we paid for up-front. I spent my first night in Hawaii trying to get help from Travel Leaders & left messages for return calls to get assistance so we would not be out $200. Of course, the time difference played havoc with our plans. Just poor communications between travel leaders and us! I explained our dissatisfaction to Sally upon return & she requested we write her a letter explaining the issues, in an effort to get our money back. Whatever company Travel Leaders went through knew we were not on that tour, so why did I have to write a letter, upon return? Suffice it to say our first day of our dream vacation was the WORST EVER!! read more
