That said, crossing Lake Michigan on a boat is something I think everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime, and I'm thrilled I had the chance to do it in comfort. The staff is fantastic. The food is better than it has to be. And the drink selection includes New Glarus beers. Don't tell the brewery that the ferry company is bringing their brews across state lines (even if just for half of the journey). It can get windy up top. Bring a wind breaker. Dress appropriately. But whatever you do, find some way to spend as much time on the top deck in the great outdoors as possible. Perhaps the best seats on the ship though are the row of metal chairs in the stern. They are outside, but protected from the wind by the cabin. If you are a pro, you may want to consider carrying on a cushion to make those cold metal seats more comfortable. Milwaukee looks beautiful from the lake. While it may be more convenient for me personally to drive around the lake to get there, I am grateful for the experience of arriving by ship. Should the opportunity arise again to traverse the lake, and I'm feeling a bit flush, I would strongly consider another trip.

My husband and I are up in the loft on two twin beds. Separated but it's comfortable enough. They have all you'd need in the full kitchen and to sleep comfortably. Even a white noise machine. Fan and a separate split in the loft. I'm able to prep dinner for the boat in the spacious kitchen. There is a keurig for coffee but I asked for a full size pot. My older in-laws drink coffee all day and I brought filters and Folgers. They were able to dig up a 4 cup maker for us! I can't believe how amazing this place is for the cost. Highly recommended.

The B&B was right next to the lake and had an amazing view. All of the lake side windows had breathtaking lake views and the B & B in itself was wonderfully decorated! The aesthetics of this place were modern beach house. The room was well decorated as well and was very clean. It was spacious and it had all the amenities that we needed. In the morning the breakfast was delicious and homemade! Coffee was fresh and really good. Overall it was a fantastic day and I would highly recommend to a friend.
