Jeff came out and explained the product was defective and if we gave them some time they would make it right and they did! I can't say enough about the second crew that came in to take the old stuff and install the new Mohawk flooring. They were careful and professional. Yes it took a little longer and we were inconvenienced again living 2 weeks without floors but effort was to make it right and we appreciate that. It's been about a month and the new floors look great. I never had any experience with stealing as some reviews mention and again dealt with two different crews. We always want to support local. We still had quite a lot of ceramic tile, in the entry way, a very long and wide walkway and two bathrooms. We decided just a few weeks ago to remove all of the tile (except our master bath) and continue the laminate. Fortunately, the laminate is still available. The installer removed ALL of the baseboards and was able to tie the laminate into the existing floor. There were two places where that was not possible; in those cases, he moved the existing laminate back so that the transition strip is in line with the door to the room and it is not visible. Even when you open the door, it is not very noticeable. There isn't any visible difference between the laminate that was already there and the newly-installed laminate. We also had new tile installed in the laundry room and our guest bath. I highly recommend Sierra Custom Flooring. They do outstanding quality work. Prices are very reasonable.

W live about an hour from the store in the mountains. We were greeted with a friendly and courteous staff. We explained our situation and needs. There was no high pressure sales at all. We picked out our carpet. A couple days later the estimator came by took measurements and gave us our quote and answered any questions we had. It was a week from the time we picked out our capet to installation. The install crew was very courteous and friendly. Did a great job. 6 hours from the time they arrived to the time they left. They went a little above and beyond as far as moving furniture and things as I had been suffering from a back injury so was very limited in what I could do and prepare. That was a nice touch of customer care. We ran into a couple issues which Thompson's solved quickly with no hesitation. Being we live so far from the store I figured we'd get hit with extra install fees due to distance and travel time. We were not. Being so far away our deposit was taken over the phone and final payment was made a few days after install since it was the day before a holiday weekend which saved us a tremendous amount of time. Very pleased with the whole process and transaction. Our cost was well within range of other vendors and acceptable. Couldn't have asked for anything more during the whole process.
