The frot office says they've sent medications into the pharmacy but don't. The front office is tricky and gives truths to Dr. Shi. I've had labs not called in as promised. Worse, no one ever answers the phone. You are left at the beck and call of when and if the front desk decides to return your call. After I put up with office nonsense for the last couple of years, Dr. Shi dismissed me as a patient through the rude and inappropriate from the office staff. The back office manager is no better. What ever happened to customer service and patient care? I guess that left the office when Dr. Zigrang left. I would not recommend this office unless you up for the biggest pain ever.

Check in: they make you call from your car because of COVID 19. No big deal right? Well I called when I arrived 15 minutes prior as requested. I then proceeded to sit in my car for 45 minutes with no contact or communication from them. I finally called them again and waited another 10 minutes after that before I was called. Actual Appointment: went in and they did a standard check in. When the doctor finally came in almost 45 minutes late, she first sat 6 ft away from me and asked why I came in. She then proceeded to cut me off and tell me I needed to fix my mask on my face. Please note that my mask was on all the way, but because I had a homemade sewn mask, it did not stuck perfectly to my face to create a full seal around my cheek and nose area. So after spending some time adjust my mask to her liking, she then finally came close enough to me to actually do an exam. I went in for an ear issue so she checked my ears first. When I told her I felt congestion in my ears, she said well normally I would check your throat and nose but I don't want to do that because of COVID. Now I'm confused. I went to see an ENT and she doesn't want to check me nose and throat. I understand the risk of COVID, but she is a doctor and I'm here for an appointment after jumping through several hoops to prove I am not sick and waiting a long time in my car! We are now about 15 minutes in to the appointment. She can't see anything in my ears so she says "go next door and get an audiology test". She tells me I should take allergy meds. I told her I've done that. She then offers to inject me with a steroid. I said no thanks. I don't think just taking a look in my ear and telling me "I don't see what's wrong" warrants the offer of a steroid injection. She gives me a card to the lady next door for a hearing test and tell me I can promptly leave out the other door. No bill, no follow up, just go get a hearing test. Here's where it gets great. My bill comes in $230!!!! For what exactly? I'm not sure. Poor bedside manner, being late, mask shaming me and not doing a SINGLE THING to help my symptoms. She didn't even bother to give me a full exam. If your comfortable going to a doctor who is too afraid to properly practice her trade and then over charge you then this is your lady. Otherwise, I would recommend doing a better job vetting an ENT than I did. Bottom Line: she seemed more afraid of me than willing to help me. She was late, tactless about the mask and seemed more interested in getting me out of there as quickly as possible than anything else. If I had been given a bill on the spot, I would have fought it. I guess we all live and learn.

(Example: I had very high iron levels, when I showed concern about it, which I had to cause he never reviewed my tests I think, he said it was the multi-vitamin. I was told to take multivitamin without iron and that was what I was taking. I mentioned it but he just kept going down his how to get me off the phone quickly list and Yep, you guessed it, ignored my concerns) All my questions and concerns were ignored for months cause nutritionist wouldn't acknowledge any of my questions at all (I assume because they were medical questions but at least acknowledge there existence) . I had to write a strong email to him and I complained to the hospital. This finally got him to test me. Imagine that, there was an actual problem. He denied having anything to do with the problem. I was very unsatisfied with his care. On quite a few of our conversations he was unprofessional and clearly made it obvious he found me and my concerns annoying. Oh and the test he sent me too, nobody knew how to do it where I was sent. Eventually 5 or 6 people were in the room trying to figure out how to work machine and conduct test. Real nightmare experience. Not sure it wasn't on purpose to torture me. Making me drink a horrible drink over and over again. I know what you are thinking. But I was nothing but polite to everyone for most of those months and only eventually showed my anger to Dr. Kubat but my anger was also polite. To everyone else involved I was nothing but cordial and compliant to their requests. I did get frustrated with my questions being ignored but even my frustration was mild and directed at my bad care. So after care was non existent for me basically. Just kept being put on different diets that didn't help and sucked. This went on for several months before the problem was forced to be identified. I don't trust him and now I have this surgery and I am unable to return to him because I cannot trust him. I would complain to hospital but they don't care either. Problem is still here over a year later though I can eat small meals now. Half a cup maybe before feeling ill. Terrible experience. I await the care team. My last bad experience they basically ignored all my complaints and sent me a written letter basically saying tough $h1t deal with it. So I assume that is what they do. Care team. Right.

Dr. Aguinaldo demonstrated exceptional patience in answering my mom's questions and providing thorough, yet simple explanations (my mom is over 70, English is her second language, and she has about a 3rd grade education). She was doing poorly for a while (I live out of state; was getting panicked phone calls from cousins who had seen her in person). Under Dr. Aguinaldo's care, she has improved greatly. I also appreciate that he asked for a family member to come with her and he didn't appear impatient with my presence and additional questions. It is refreshing to have a doctor who doesn't rush through patients. I'm not sure if that's indicative of Sutter Health's management compared to elsewhere or if Dr. Aguinaldo gets all the credit, but it's a relief and appreciated regardless.

She took detailed information and concerns of mine. She was able to put in bloodwork I needed to the lab but I was able to take her recommended lab work to have my doctor put it in so that some of the lab work would be covered by insurance. The lab work is much more extensive than the basic lab work your traditional doctor does for you. Her lab work was able to have her give you recommendations on supplements and diet. The lab work is an eye opener to seeing how unbalanced my body was. Just before having the vaccine, she instructed me on what tinctures to take prior to having the vaccine so that wouldn't have any or mild side effects. The first two vaccines I took the tinctures and I barely had any symptoms. When the booster came out and I completely forgot about taking the tinctures, I had a headache and was tired for two days. I'd been through Kaiser, PAMF, Sutter Health; nobody would listen and nobody would help. I felt so hopeless, defeated and truly sick. I was experiencing debilitating fatigue, excruciating pain in my tailbone, extreme nausea, issues with overactive bladder, blood in my stool, a swollen abdomen, weight that I couldn't lose no matter what I tried ...the list goes on.
