Jenn photographed a lifestyle branding session for me, so that I could have photos for my company's website and social media. I was so impressed with Jenn's process: she sent a thorough branding questionnaire, which admittedly helped *me* hone in on my branding; provided direction on what to bring for the shoot; helped me find a location since I don't have a very photogenic home office; and took amazing photos the day of the shoot. I was super comfortable posing for Jenn, and she helped me pose in the most flattering ways. After our session, she asked me if we could take a few more photos to get more content after the first iteration. She has very high standards for her work, and wants the customer to be happy, which I appreciate! The photos turned out so great. One of the things I told Jenn I wanted to portray was 'approachability' and after I uploaded the new photos to my site, I got a call from a potential client telling me she reached out to me because I looked the most approachable. I cannot say enough nice things about Jenn! For months, I had delayed the opening of my online business because I was less than flattered with the images I had of myself. From the minute I contacted Jenn, I felt completely comfortable and quickly booked one of her portrait photography sessions. She had a detailed questionnaire that got to the heart of my core values and even went out of her way to find a location that captured the essence of my brand, bringing with her additional props to help style the space once we arrived. Having been an Event Planner prior to my wedding, I knew that the photographer was the most important aspect for me - after all, once the day is over, all you have (besides the marriage of course) is memories and pictures (and maybe video). That said, I interviewed pretty much every photographer in the city and called all of my friends in the events industry to get their opinions. And after all that, Jenn won hands down. Why? The first time my mom and I met with her, I knew she was perfect. She's someone you want to be friends with which makes the whole planning and day-of so much more fun/less stressful. it's nice working with people that you truly like. She's incredibly organized. From start to finish she takes your event as seriously as she can, making sure that every detail is covered, every moment caught, and every style of picture you like is taken. She is non-invasive. My husband and I can be a little camera shy but Jenn made us feel so comfortable. During events we never even noticed that she was there and during our couple's shoots she was really helpful and made us feel relaxed. She will work with you. Unlike other photographers that I spoke to who had really strict guidelines/packages, Jenn worked with me to customize a package and a day that I was so incredibly happy with. Her assistants are amazing. She works with a group of other photographers who have their own businesses/events so you know that your second shooter is going to be just as capable. That way, when they cover separate things, all your pictures are still super high quality. The final product - our pictures are STUNNING. Again, I'm a bit camera shy and was worried that I wouldn't be that photogenic but Jenn captured the true essence of the day which made us look our best. I think I should start by saying that my partner and I have not yet received our photos from the evening of our commitment ceremony. We were just so incredibly impressed with Jenn that I wanted to give her some love right away. This chick was all over the place that night!!! I think I was most impressed when she did the second base slide onto the dance floor to capture my partners back bend during her hula-AMAZING. The camera never left her face for a second, even as she got up. It was not at all intrusive of the performance either. My friends and family were compelled to comment on what an amazing photographer we had. Again, I haven't seen the pics, but she was everywhere capturing everything that she could. Kudos to Dan Gin photography for sending her. Also, I loved that she was more interested in who my partner and I are as a couple and as individuals than she was in trying to get me to be what she thought I should be for the photos. She made me comfortable and I know that I can be a real stick in the mud sometimes. I would def giver her a call next time I am in need of a professional photographer. read more

If you need a photographer for an event and want amazing pictures Jennifer is it! We hired Jennifer for our wedding in Chicago. Jennifer did an amazing job. We knew we wanted to hire her as soon as we met her. She was very attentive to our style and needs and understood exactly what we wanted. We wanted a contemporary simple style for our pictures. Jennifer also did our engagement session and those pictures turned out great. As a busy entrepreneur Jennifer did a great job returning our calls/email in a timely manner. When I began looking for a photographer for our wedding I was overwhelmed. There are so many options and I did not know where to begin. I contacted Katie Basil a former college whom I trusted. She had ventured away from teaching and into the world of photography. Katie told me about how she had worked with Jenn in the past and highly recommended her. After looking at some of Jenn's work I understood why Katie spoke so highly of her. After my initial phone call with Jenn I could tell she was passionate about what she does and was interested in capturing much more than just a few posed pictures to remember the day by. It was important to me that our wedding photographer be able to capture the day in an authentic and candid way. Katie was the second shooter for our wedding. Both Jenn and Katie met my husband and me to before the wedding talk about our vision for the day and to learn more about who we are as a couple. They spent time getting to know what we envisioned for our wedding day and the style of pictures we wanted. We decided to do an engagement shoot with Jenn, before the big day. My husband and I are not comfortable in front of the camera, but Jenn made it easy and fun. By the end of the afternoon we were laughing, relaxed and having a great time. When we got the engagement pictures back I was 100% confident we had made the right choice. Jenn made us look great! On the day of the wedding Jenn and Katie not only worked with all the vendors to make sure things ran smoothly they were also a very calming presence. Jenn photographed my wedding in May 2016 and was simply AMAZING to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. From the first time my now-husband and I met with her for our initial consultation, we knew that Jenn would be a great fit for us. Aside from her amazing photography skills, she is such a lovely person. It was easy for us to tell that Jenn felt honored to be included in our special day, while truly working with us to make sure our vision was realized. From the moment I saw Jenn's work, I knew she was our photographer. Not only does she take the most gorgeous, natural photos, but she is so incredibly organized, communicative, and the absolute sweetest person. From our very first phone call and first meeting with her, I felt as though I was just talking with one of my girlfriends. She has a capacity to put you at ease both in front of the camera and also with preparations for the wedding day.
