It is many years later and I can honestly say she ruined our wedding. I have zero pictures of the ring bearer , many guests and family members who escorted people in church. We had to pay to retake our photos at Holy Name and the Drake. She claimed the church told her she couldn't take pictures. They said it wasn't true. I had special monogrammed desserts at our rehearsal dinner and we got zero pictures of the monograms. Many of my friends had videos or images where she was just standing around. It's honestly very sad because it was the most important day of our lives. She refused to refund us and then was mad so didn't give us a wedding album. We did, however, like how our wedding video. Noelle was the photographer for our January 2016 wedding. She also did our engagement photos back in Fall 2015. I found Noelle after searching through many wedding photographers online. I looked through her pictures online and thought she had a great style. We met with her before booking and instantly felt comfortable with her. Noelle is extremely professional but also very friendly. We booked her after meeting with her, reviewing a contract and looking through some more of her work. For our engagement pictures, she did a great job suggesting the time of day to shoot and what type of outfits to wear. We suggested a few locations for pictures and she gave us her input on what she thought would work best. When we started shooting, we honestly had NO idea how to pose/smile/etc. Noelle did a great job facilitating the pictures, without making us do a bunch of forced/awkward poses. Although I will say, some of the best shots were definitely the ones were I thought we were going to look SO cheesy. Definitely trusted Noelle to get some great shots of us and loved that she provided just the right amount of direction. On the day of the wedding, Noelle showed up ahead of schedule and was right on time with us throughout the day. You kind of barely notice she is there which was great- she was busy getting all sorts of great shots! The formal church photos turned out great and she was very patient with organizing our large families, but kept things moving along at the same time. We took some pictures outside at a local forest preserve and Noelle was definitely a champ for shooting us outside for an hour in the middle of a Chicago winter. We were all cold and anxious to get inside so Noelle moved along at a very efficient pace, making sure that we made the most of our time. And let me tell you, it was worth it. The pictures outside turned out gorgeous. Absolutely beautiful winter wedding pictures. One thing that I didn't realize Noelle was going to do was record our vows and the speeches at the wedding. Being able to watch those moments back after the wedding is truly invaluable. We didn't want to do a full videographer for the wedding so this was just the perfect amount of video. It captured those really special moments that you want to remember forever. Throughout the process, Noelle was always in constant communication with us. If i sent her an email, she would always respond within a day. I thought that her pricing was very fair and the packages she offers are great. We knew we wanted a great photographer but didn't want to break the bank. I think as far as Chicago photographers go, she is a great bet for that. The package that we booked with Noelle included a photo album. She does all the layout work and then runs it by you for any formatting/picture changes. It was a nice touch at the end to know that I basically had a ready made album for my home. Another awesome and unique thing that Noelle does is make a video with the images from your wedding. She sent that to us about two weeks after our wedding and it was honestly the best. I've watched it more times than I care to admit. It's the little things like that which put Noelle over the top. Overall, cannot recommend Noelle enough. In fact, I already did to some friends and family. She was super great to work with and our pictures turned out absolutely amazing. Writing about Noelle's talents as a photographer would be a waste of time - just look at her portfolio online; her fantastic work speaks for itself. What I can tell you is that our experience with Noelle as our wedding photographer was better that we could have possibly hoped for. During our first skype conversation with her, we remarked on a great painting behind her and she said "Thank you, I painted that!", so we knew she had a creative spirit, but over the entire process she brought a much needed warm, friendly, and fun attitude for the stressful process of planning a wedding. Always listening to our thoughts and conscious of the tone we wanted to set, she was full of ideas and suggestions without ever being pushy or intrusive. During the day of, she was the best kind of creative: had a plan of places to go and poses to make, but we all ran with whatever inspired us in the moment, and some of our best photos were taken in bouts of spontaneity. Just from a personal standpoint, she was an absolute delight to work with. The kind of person you wish you were friends with outside of a professional setting, but being so lovely they probably have too many friends already. She also deserves a gold star in the "above and beyond" category. Compared to a lot of other photographers, she is extremely affordable, and earns every penny. She spent way more time and took way more photos for our ceremony than we were expecting, to the point that we were concerned she was overworking herself! An absolute juggernaut, she was with us the entire day and never seemed to lose her spirit or enthusiasm. I would say that dollar for dollar, Noelle is an excellent photographer, but that would only be highlighting her fantastic pricing and doing a disservice to her craft. We cannot say enough good things about Noelle! She is phenomenal! I highly, highly recommend her and have already recommended her to several friends! I had found her through yelp and liked her work so we reached out and met her at a coffee shop so we could all get to know each other. She was sweet, caring, and took the time to really get to know us and our story. She was always responsive, in touch, took the lead on giving us a general timeline for the day when asked, the list goes on. We really weren't sure where we wanted photos and she provided us with some of her favorite spots, example shots, etc. Our engagement shoot was a blast and by the end we were laughing, sweating, and in the happiest of moods! She even took on action shots of all the guys playing basketball the morning of! She and her assistant were just so sweet, SO patient, great at communication, and worked so hard the entire day. I have never seen a photographer commit to as long of a day as she did and she always had a smile on her face. Our entire wedding party commented throughout the day how amazing she and her assistant were. After the wedding, she sent us a photo slideshow to music and a sneak peek within a week and a few days. To say the photos were incredible is an understatement!! My family already booked her for my sister's wedding. My parents loved her as well and are so impressed with her work.
