She was so patient and kept trying different things when it wouldn't pop up right away. I feel like most front desk ladies would have tried once and given up with an unapologetic "sorry" , being that I've experienced this multiple times before. It took about 15-20 minutes later and 7 different attempts of searching that she found my insurance. This meant so much to me at this time because around this time I was having lots of discouraging experiences with trying to find proper offices and doctors when attempting to schedule for a general check up for me and a dentist appointment for my daughter and I hope she sees this because I want her to know how much I appreciated her patience and willingness to help. Unfortunately after my interaction today with her employee Mary I will no longer be a customer. Mary assisted me earlier this month when I placed an order to purchase new glasses for myself. (Gucci glasses) she told me it was final sale and I agreed to that. Upon picking up my new glasses today she tells me that they "didn't come with a case" and she hands me a Ralph Lauren case along with a Zeiss sleeve and the Gucci glasses. I leave the store and I call her back to ask what was the reason that my glasses didn't come with a case (this has never happened to me) and she says because they ran out of the Gucci cases and they never ordered again. I then asked her if she knew this information when I placed my order of Gucci glasses earlier this month and she says "yes". I asked her why didn't she tell me this? I would have never bought this expensive brand if I knew it wouldn't come with the original case and she said "it didn't occur to me". Are you serious? That is not a valid excuse! Mary is a dishonest person and just wanted to make a sale.

I was referred to Dr. Yuan by another optometrist after years of struggling with what I thought was just "bad vision." For most of my life, I was told I had astigmatism and that my eyesight would get worse every year -- something I accepted far too early. No matter how many times I updated my glasses (from places like Walmart or Costco), I could never really see. I always felt like I was looking through a fog, living life with squinted eyes. Reading was hard, driving seemed impossible, and I just thought clear vision wasn't in the cards for me. That all changed when I was finally diagnosed with keratoconus -- a condition I'd unknowingly had for years. When I was pregnant, my vision got drastically worse, and I couldn't get any optometrist to release a usable prescription. That's when I was finally referred to Dr. Yuan. Two words: LIFE CHANGING. From the moment I walked into Rainbow Optometry (which, funny enough, is in a Kaiser building), I felt supported. The office was clean, organized, and full of the most kind, brilliant staff. The team at the front desk are like mini-optometrists themselves -- they're patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely care. They explained everything I needed, answered every question, and always followed up. And Dr. Yuan? She is the Oprah of optometry. I've never experienced an eye exam like that in my life. She took her time, carefully measured and analyzed every detail of my vision. She explained the progression of my keratoconus and crafted a solution tailored exactly to me. She didn't just give me hard contacts -- she gave me my sight back. These lenses are unbelievably comfortable and give me 20/20 vision -- for the first time in my entire life. I can see my daughter's face now. I can drive. I can see my own face clearly in the mirror. I'm no longer squinting through life. I genuinely guard these lenses with my life because they are that valuable to me. Dr. Yuan didn't just improve my vision -- she transformed my confidence and quality of life. Personally, I see Dr Anil, Dr A as I call him. He has worked with me in monitoring my condition for a few years now and you can't get a better person who happens to be an MD. My little one was practicing writing her letters when suddenly she turned to me and told me she had "a black eye". What followed was a series of test performed by me, a visit to the pediatrician and an instruction by her pediatrician to see an ophthalmologist. This was a very difficult task indeed, I called place after place and no one could get us in or had an ophthalmologist or had someone who worked with kids. I called Claremont eye associates and it said they were closed but if it was urgent I could leave a message with their answering service. 1 hour later they called me back. Amazing from that point on. She told me they had no appointments available but they'd want me to come in right then and they'd squeeze me in if I didn't mind waiting. I got there and besides being confused since the map took me to the back of the office and the front door doesn't look like one, everything was better than expected. The front desk worked quickly and efficiently and was so friendly and patient. There was hustle but also slow down for questions. They moved people in and out flawlessly. They answered my questions about insurance. I saw the person I had talked to on the phone and she was even more friendly and kind in person. They took us back in less time than I've waited somewhere that I DID have an appointment. The nurse was efficient and experienced, professional and kind. My first interaction with the doctor was very brief and made me cry because as soon as he saw my daughters results he told the nurse to dilate her eyes and walked out and I felt confused and overwhelmed and wished someone would tell me what that meant. She was reassuring and patient and we walked to room after room as they completed the exam. When I saw the doctor again, he had all the hustle of everyone else but did show me her optic nerve and the back of her eye and assured me that from an "eye" perspective, she looked great, with the exception that she was very farsighted and one of her eyes was "nearly blind". While we were in there he got a call, and had to multitask. I got the sense that he is good at what he does, and he does it, without any fluff. I appreciate that especially because everyone else is over the top friendly, I'm fine if he's more "all business" especially because he did explain everything very succinctly and answered my questions and even was thoughtful of finances in where he sent me to get her prescription. Brought in a pair of glasses that needed prescription lenses in them. It was completed quick in a…read moreweek and a half however I feel like my lens is really thick and heavy which started to cause indentations on my nose. The frame itself is extremely light weight so all the weight are in the lenses. I have other glasses but none of them are this heavy Not sure if theres a lighter option outside of polycarb and I avoided pc because it scratches so easily. But the weight is so uncomfortable I'm having second thoughts.
