I'll start with the positive- Jennifer was very pleasant and professional. However, Movement is a problem. From the moment after we got pre-approved for a loan, fees began to increase. We have great credit and got quoted a great rate. We ended up paying $11,000 in fees to close a $270k loan. That's not including down payment or realtor commissions. At every turn, fees kept creeping up. The appraiser was slow and overpriced. The PMI estimate crept up and doubled by closing. We finally got to sign our closing docs with a payment that was $250 higher than the original estimate. Before our first payment was due, they jacked up our payment another $150! Why? Well, after two phone calls and an email, and them falsely blaming the insurance company, they have yet to admit that they miscalculated the escrow amount. Whether it was deliberate or just incompetence is hard to determine at this point. read more

Call me picky, but the fact that you never actually speak with Jennifer until they know for a fact you a a legit buyer is a bit foolish I think. How can you trust someone you've never even talked to and doesn't seem interested in talking to you unless it is confirmed you have all your ducks in a row. I am in banking myself and know how important it is to gather the right information from a potential borrower up front but getting to talk to the Mortgage Officer right off the bat is key in making me feel valued and shows me that they aren't just looking for "slam dunk" deals. I have tried getting approved with so many lenders, including Wells Fargo, that by the end of the ordeal I not only had trust issues, but a very low FICO score (WF shot it like 4 time!!) During the qualification process, her and her staff kept me updated about twice per week via email, regarding status of application, escrow progress, etc. she was available for ANY TYPE OF question on her cell, office phone, email. Papers were always sent overnight via this service that has mailboxes all over town, with address slip printed, and directions to the mailbox. I can honestly say I understand the process of getting approved and buying a home- and that says a lot from somebody like me that does not have any talent for anything outside her job field. Jennifer and her staff were patient, professional, even with the silliest of questions; they have continuously proven to have high standards of expertise in the field.
