I had read a little about the success of ketamine assisted psychotherapy for anxiety (among other things). Transcend just opened up nearby, and I decided to give it a shot. In 6 sessions, it changed my life. That droning "baseline" anxiety I would always feel is gone, my outlook on life dramatically improved, and I no longer feel irritable. Most ketamine clinics just give you some ketamine and send you on your way (check the therapeutic ketamine subreddit and see what others do). Transcend is unique in that you are talking with a psychotherapist during the entire infusion, which is much more therapeutic than ketamine, alone. Then there's Will. He's the head nurse on staff at Transcend. He goes out of his way to make sure you are getting the most out of your therapy. After several session, you will leave invalidated, unheard, with no accountability sought, with your perceptions and reactions as the source of problem, rather than the actual choices of others. She is a deeply educated member of a select group of people who was trained and continued to train with the foremost trauma expert (in substance, sex, codependency etc.) Pia Melody at the foremost trauma and sexual abuse clinic in the world, the Meadows. These are the gold standards for this type of treatment and Stephanie's understanding and application of these techniques amazes me. As someone who had several deep traumas (date rape, attempted rape etc) when I was young, I have been familiar with these techniques for nearly 40 years and Stephanie is no doubt the best I have seen after living in Austin and Philadelphia and seeing the best there. Although I have had tremendous recovery and led a terrific life despite these early traumas it is only because of a lot of work and continued work on myself. Stephanie has recently undertaken to learn a new technique called RIM, which is for those with deep trauma and also those like myself who want to continue to grow.
