Absolute angels! My 95-year old mom was evicted from her previous facility on a Friday night before…read moreChristmas, in the dark, in the rain (just drizzle, but still wet), in the cold with nothing but the clothes on her back. Arden Court is the only place that answered the phone and they took her in without question! They warmly welcomed her (and me, too), provided her with hugs, food, and a bed with warm blankets to sleep on. From that point on, they were only more wonderful. The caregivers interacted with her with dignity and love, and took all the time they could to show her she was safe and cared for. The building is a marvel -- four wings of 16 residents each (I think its 16), color coded and decorated with themes. It has very nice outdoor areas accessible to the residents. The food looked good and seemed to be very healthy. The staff are incredible, attentive, and that includes Gina, Ashley, Emily, Brian, Deanna and Gonzalo. Dr. Cowan is there on staff (and on call all the time), and nursing staff are there 24/7. After we got in, I found out that many of my church friends' family members had been there, so I felt even better about my mom being a resident. Unfortunately, my mom's dementia progressed so rapidly that she passed within 6 weeks of arriving, but she was in the best place possible with the best, and most caring staff I've ever witnessed. My mom had been through many skilled nursing facilities over the years (for rehab after surgeries), and I've never experienced the warmth and love like I did at Arden Court. Not a single staff member walked around playing games on their phones or ignoring a call out from a resident. They also provide monthly meetings to the families of their residents, to learn more about how to best support their loved ones, and how to manage our own grief. They have a little beauty shop, and lots of activities. Best place EVER!!

In my industry we have a few good options to help our patients with a respite or long term stay but really standing out here is how beautiful & incredibly clean the property is and how patient, kind and caring the staff are to the families I continue to send here...Such a relief to have them on our Favorite for Families list and a great option if you or your loved is needing compassionate care. Walking in the front door- you don't find anyone at the front desk. I breezed in, started wandering around the facility, and nobody was around- the halls were empty of people working there. That seems to be the general feeling of the place- grossly understaffed. My grandmother has been complaining about the fact that she hits the button that calls the nurses, and nobody shows up for five hours. Five Hours. They haven't been able to deliver her prescribed pain medications, because the facility has been out for days. Days. How does a medical facility run out of medicine?! The management here is largely absent. It's taken days to get to see a doctor. Days! This place is completely inept. Don't send your loved ones here. The one guy on duty doesn't have nearly enough time to get to see them. Beware!

The physician who comes to this facility to see residents wouldn't listen to our concerns or wants. In fact when we asked to taper off meds he increased them. Our LO was placed on some heavy duty psych meds and they had never taken any of this type of medication before. We were told that the residents would be active throughout the day and most of the time when we came to visit the residents were sitting around, watching tv or in their rooms. We believed we were getting the best based on the monthly rate for this place and the promises made during the tour. Our LO was accused of "aggressive" behavior which basically was due to them being asked to leave other resident's rooms. They leave the resident's rooms unlocked throughout the day so it's no wonder they wander around into places they shouldn't be. We were told our LO needed an inpatient psychiatric admission. At that point we went to go pick up our LO and all of their belongings because we were fed up with their poor care. We wrote to the administration after about all of our concerns and never received a reply. We sent it certified so we know it was received. Our LO was there less than 3 months and they would not refund any of the $1500 move-in fee. Also, the turnover here is ridiculous. Staff would leave and we would have no explanation. I've recently learned their admissions director is now at another facility, too. The end of our story was we took our LO home and they were perfectly fine. We found another facility where they are happy and well cared for. There are no heavy meds in place and no need to go to a psych facility. For the $6500 monthly rate at Bader House you definitely do not get what you pay for and they take no accountability. It's a beautiful facility but that means nothing if they residents are not well cared for. I hope this will help another family avoid a bad experience.

I'm a pharmacist I know). They don't bathe her like they should or make her brush her teeth and keep giving her sugar and crap instead of nutritious meals.Wonder why she eats like a horse when I go to visit her.Quit sitting on your asses and do your job or find another. What the hell is this company hiring?
