Have had great experiences with Katie doing my pedicure. Well I needed to change an appointment date and was told that I had to give them a credit card to hold the appointment. UM NO! No way in HELL am I giving a business my credit care information to schedule an appointment. Totally unnecessary and absolutely uncalled for. I called on a Wednesday to change an appointment for a Saturday. Not like I called the day before or even that morning and left the stylist in the lurch without the ability to fill their book with another client. You've had the last of my business. Its a shame too, because I really liked Katie, she's wonderful and very meticulous. Supposedly this policy went into effect 7/1. Well, it isn't posted at the desk and wasn't an issue when we booked our other appointments. They're losing not one but 2 people, because my sister and I would go together and have a girls day. read more

Unfortunately, my experience with the owner of Jennifer & Company was completely unprofessional and I do not recommend their salon. I had met with one of their estheticians, based on a personal referral, for a powder brow consultation. She explained the process, showed me her work and answered all of my questions. She was wonderful! After the consultation, I scheduled an appointment with her for powder eyebrows and put the $175 deposit down two months in advance. One week before the date of service, the salon called to tell me that the esthetician had left the salon. Since I had already had a great consultation with her, I knew that she was the only esthetician I wanted to provide the service. The salon told me they had another esthetician who could do the job, but I'd have to wait another 2-3 months. They did not offer to make a new consultation appointment or connect me with the replacement esthetician. I requested a refund on my deposit and was told no. The owner told me that I could use that $175 on other salon services or products, but was not able to provide the "no refunds on deposits" policy to me in writing. A powder brow service is similar to a tattoo. If you meet with an artist and like their work and trust their talents, you want that artist doing your tattoo. You don't want just any artist doing the work, especially when it is on your face. The fact that she does not understand that is discouraging. If I provide a deposit and YOU cancel the service, you should provide a refund, especially because there was plenty of lead time. No one's time or money was lost except mine. Her lack of professionalism and ability to provide her policies in writing upfront to the client is misleading. I wish her well, but she should really consider the service before refusing to offer a refund. read more

Jenn G was absolutely amazing! She listened to me and was present when I showed her pictures of what my hair used to look like. She was incredibly attentive to a skin condition I have, checking to see if the water was too hot or if it hurt to rub my scalp. She also did a perfect job on my hair. Curly hair isn't the easiest (a lot of people SAY they can but...). She cut to the perfect length and I've never been happier with my layers. Thank you Jenn! After five months of waiting, I was finally able to get my hair done at Jennifer & Co. I have light blonde hair, so it was absolute torture having to live with my roots for so long. When I arrived at my appointment, I showed the hairstylist a photo of my hair done previously at another salon. I was specific when explaining what I wanted to be done with my hair. I stated that I wished to have thin highlights, no grey hues, and no bleeding foils. She was super friendly and seemed to understand what I wanted. While sitting in the salon chair, everything looked fine, and I liked it. However, that was probably due to the poor lighting and the large mirror not being super close to me. When I got in my car, I noticed streaky highlights and spots that looked missed underneath. Although the hairstylist was super nice, I can't believe she didn't see the streaks or spots missing when she was blow-drying my hair. (Photos attached: The blue background photos are what I showed her and the other ones are what I got done). I also had a previous appointment scheduled the other week, and something unexpected came up, so I had to cancel. I then tried calling to reschedule the following morning, and the receptionist was rudely answering my questions with an uncalled for attitude. Although the ladies working at the front desk were very kind today, that was not the same customer service I received over the phone. My friend's mother also had a similar experience with one of their receptionists when she called in a few weeks ago and they completely lost her business over it. read more

The salon is very nice and the person who did my nails was very polite. However, my fill took TWO HOURS! I have never had a fill take more than 45 mins, an hour top. I was getting so anxious sitting there because I didn't plan on it taking so long. It would be one thing if they turned out perfectly, but there were a bunch of bubbles in the polish. I gave two stars because the person was very nice but I'll never go back. read more

I love this place!! Jennifer is amazing! I live in California but am here for work often so I make sure I get in whenever I can. My hair was completely fried due to a bad trip to a salon near where I live. Jennifer brought my hair back to life! My highlights and cut were exactly how I wanted it to look! I've only been here once but my first experience was great! It was the morning of my wedding and time to go to my makeup appointment at another salon. I get there and they tell me that my makeup artist called in sick and nobody else can do it. Wow... So my sister in law and my photographers who are with me viciously looked on their phone for anyone else that could do airbrush makeup and they come across Jennifer and Co, we get there and they are fully booked, but then about 5 mins later someone becomes free to do my makeup! Thank you! so I am able to get in right away, not only that my sister in law is able to get hers done too! The makeup looked awesome and stayed on all night I didn't even have to blot and I am typically a oil monster. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because for some reason after an hour my sister in laws eyelashes that she paid extra for were falling off. read more

I got a massage at this place earlier today. Despite the fact Ive gotten body massages before, with coming here for first time I was nervous just a bit. But I will say that went away pretty quick and it was a nice massage. My thearapist they assigned me was Lauren, and she did a good job, on the paperwork they had me fill out, they ask if you want Light/Medium/Hard, and I selected medium, and thats what I got. So I left there feeling good, and the price was fair to. I'll probably be back at some point. These are good for nagging back pain that I sometimes get. This is my go to salon! I recently moved out to California but whenever I come home for the holidays or on vacation, I make a great effort to schedule an appointment! My go to stylist is Donnie and he can do wonders! If you are looking for someone to take your hair to the next level, he's your man. On top of that, I greatly appreciate the company's positive customer service. I really like how they call prior to your appointment to kindly remind you. In addition, they always greet me and ask me if I want anything to drink such as coffee or water. I also love how clean the salon feels whenever I am there. Beware of broken massage chairs!! They don't seem to think it's a problem for their hour and a half spa pedicure clients. I am very disappointed in Jennifer and Company as an establishment. My massage chair was broken (one of my favorite parts of a spa pedicure) and the frozen knobs were poking into my lower back the whole time--I finally asked for a pillow to cushion them--and they did NOTHING other than say, "Sorry. This chair has been temperamental." When I finally asked about it at the front desk (the nail tech never mentioned it to them), the response I received was, "Well, we were already offering a special deal today." Yes, because you had open appointment times to fill, not because your equipment was broken. I guess the discounted price tag justifies a sub-standard experience! To be fair, the nail tech did a good job with my toes. I just can't believe I even had to ASK for some type of response to this issue, let alone that I was essentially told, "Too bad." P.S. The manager at the desk also mentioned they weren't going to leave a chair VACANT unless it was leaking water or something like that. So, they are booking appointments with full knowledge that some of their clients will be using a broken massage chair. read more

I have been going to Jennifer and Co. for years to get my hair done and I've never had a problem. So I decided to try a shellac manicure at the salon. I got a French manicure done last Saturday for a wedding that I'm in this weekend. The manicure experience was great and all of the nails looked good...until this morning. It's only 5 days later and two of my nails have completely chipped and one is lifting and will most likely chip by the end of the day. I called Jennifer and Co. to let them know the situation and asked if they could fit me in to repair the three nails. The receptionist very rudely told me that they were booked for the day and that I should try their other location on Munson Road. I called up the other location and they too were booked and the receptionist told me to try going to a different salon to get my nails fixed. I understand salons are booked, but considering I already paid good money to have my nails done and the shellac manicure barely lasted as long as a traditional manicure would have, you think they would have squeezed me in somewhere to do an emergency repair service, ESPECIALLY since I explained to them that I'm in a wedding this weekend and the only day I have free is today to have them fixed. So thank you receptionist, I HAVe decided to go to another salon and I will never get my nails done at Jennifer and Co. again. And you can be sure that I will tell all of my friends to never waste their money at your salon either. read more

Jennifer & Company is my favorite hair stylists in Lake County! I went to Jennifer's for five years when I lived up north. What turned me on to h was how she treated her staff. She used to bring them to my restaurant for a girls night out and they used to have so much fun. It was after her first dinner that I decided to check out her salon. it was quite a hike but so worth the drive. I loved the feeling of how you were treated when you walked into the salon as well as the service I got. the stylists are all well trained. The worst hair salon ever. The owner is very unprofessional calling me a liar because i did not like my grey hair die i paid $110.00 dollars for. I asked them to please fix my hair because i am very unhappy with my greyish silver color and being thirty years old who wants grey. The owner made me feel horrible and uncomfortable to ever get my hair done again. Very rude and horrible customer service. I will be contacting better business bureau and hopefully getting my money back through civil court. The owner never apoligized and makes you feel like a liar. JCO has very fair pricing and a talented staff that goes above and beyond to suit my needs. The employees and management ensure that clients walk out with a positive experience. One time, I had a job interview two weeks after a haircut. I went in for a clean up and they did it free of charge. Good people who care about their clients. I had high hopes for this place but they failed me horribly! I know my hair generally takes about 2.5hrs to do so when my "master stylist" was done in an hour I should've been suspicious. I had to go to work with brassy gold hair when I asked for natural blond highlights with low lights(full head). When I called to have it fixed I talked to the manager & she reassured me she'd over see it this time. She never came over once to talk to me or check out the progress or lack of. In the end it was slightly less brassy but I still had a band going around my head that was noticeable. I have someone great now who told me the person who did my hair tried to pull a stylist short cut and only did random highlights to make it appear to be full head. That makes me mad since I paid for full head. I know mistakes happen but this was never really fixed. I gave it one star since the girl was originally nice read more

My hair was ruined by this company. I went in for a corrective color for my hair, which was purple. I told the stylist, Tory, how I wanted my hair back to it's original purple color, I even showed her a picture and expressed repeatedly that I did not want to incur damage to my hair as it had been bleached a few months before. I was assured that they would not damage my hair and would do what they could for the color. When I left my hair was BLONDE and damaged beyond repair. When I complained I was told that the damage was what I came with (I have picture evidence that it was not) and that I had asked for blonde. I showed the stylist a picture of my previous deep purple hair. Both Jennifer, who is the owner, and the stylist who destroyed my hair were incredibly unprofessional and rude and insisted that it was my fault. It has now been two months and my hair is still blonde but I cannot do anything about it because my normally soft shiny pincurl hair has the texture and pliability of straw. My curls have been ruined, the texture has been damaged beyond repair, the color is the worst I have ever had. Yet the stylist is supposed to be a "trainer." I will never go back to this salon, especially upon reading reviews that I am not the only person who has experience this. Unprofessional, incompetent, and utterly irresponsible. read more

I have very fine and thin hair, and since I was out of state and without hair products, I stopped in and asked for professional advice on a product to give my hair body. One of the hair dressers reviewed available products and highly suggested one, that happily came in a travel size - just right for trying it out. She said if it did not work, it could be returned. It was way too heavy for my hair. even in a tiny quantity. When I tried to return it, I was informed nothing came be returned for cash, only for future hair care. Since I was out of state, there was zero chance I would be in the area again. I had to exchange the product for another. If I exchanged for something less that what was being returned, they would not refund the difference. Since it is not possible to find another item of the same dollar amount, I had to purchase a more expensive item and pay them the difference. I fell this is an extremely poor user friendly business practice and a cheap trick to get people to enhance Jenniffer & Co income. Considering I was out of state, it would not have killed them to refund my money, which was in the $18 range. At best, they could have refunded the difference between my refunded item and another less expensive item I could actually use. Shame on them. Greed is not pretty. read more

Im not one to complain but i feel that this should be addressed, a few weeks ago i was sent to a stylist names Leah R.. i was very thrown back by her attitude and her unprofessionalism.. She acted as if she wanted to do NOTHING with my hair or even be at her place of work. I would also like to address the way she was talking about her coworkers and her boss Jen. Ive only heard amazing things about jennifer and i dont think she deserves to have a stylist that unprofessional in her salon. I feel sorry how much i see Jenn work, and girls that talk so horrible about their own boss and their family saying how annoying and awful they were( it made me feel so awkward). I most likely will never step foot in Jenn co till i know that girl is put into her place or even gone. I feel very horrible having to write this, but it has been bothering me so much.
