The customer support, and experience is excellent. But most of all for me is there timely support, excellent work product, quick response to comments, and follow-up to make sure there were no issues. When I called this afternoon, the person who answered the phones asked what kind of survey I needed in which I requested a boundary survey. She immediately said that Alta was far to busy of a company to bother with boundary surveys and they were focusing only on construction surveys. My issue is not that the company is 'too busy', but in the lack of questions asked about my project-- not even a question on the address of the project. If more questions were asked she may have discovered that I happened to be needing a survey for a very large project on 4 parcels and, that could have led to the construction survey as well down the line. We never got there as I was shut down immediately and quite curtly. An additional comment would be to have a recommendation ready of a different company to refer the work to if that is not Alta's focus right now. I would have found that a very acceptable response to being busy. If either of those things had happened I would not be writing this review right and would still think about calling Alta next time I have a project.

First submission to final approval took about 2 months, which certainly exceeded my expectations, especially considering the bureaucracy that needs to be played with the city. Not even a call to discuss what services he provided and what the $1600 would include. I found another engineering / design company (Reverence Engineering) who called me back immediately. The owner spent 45 minutes on the phone with me teaching me about the process of permitting and what a site visit would look like. Needless to say, I went with reverence engineering.
