Where do I start? I had seen Dr. Marshall, about a year and a half ago for an ingrown toenail. She…read moredid the quick procedure in her office on that day. That evening, I was in severe pain. The pain was so pain that painkillers did not help! I called the next morning and asked to be seen ASAP! They staff squeezed me in. When I saw Dr. Marshall, she asked what was wrong, and I told her something didn't feel right, I'm in excruciating pain! She looked at my toe and said, that's just tissue trying to heal. If you want, I can take a closer look. I said yes, please, because this pain is unbearable. Before I knew it, she had a tool in her hand and dug it right into the wound to feel around. I practically jumped out of the seat. I was angry, upset, and extremely disappointed! When I got home, I called another podiatrist for a second opinion. When I went in for a 2nd opinion, Dr. Walker looked and told me there's a small piece of nail still in there. I had to have another procedure to have it taken out. Due to Dr. Marshall not fully taking out that section of nail and having the process done again... it never grew back normal. Now, I'm going in tomorrow to get that part of my toenail chemically killed off, so I will not have any more problems. So, after that incident, no I do not recommend this office at all!

Wow. We are impressed. My daughter and I are that is. Long story short here: my daughter has had a…read more"boo boo" (for lack of a better word) on her foot for weeks now. It has caused her pain to walk and due to this I made an appointment with our regular GP. We are Kaiser refugees and since I know how to work that system and not our new insurance system, I didn't know that I could have skipped our GP all together and took her straight to the podiatrist. Anyway, saw the GP, GP was useless. Couldn't tell what it was w/ her foot. The gave me the number for Dr. Stewart. Dr. Stewart's office is in the same Dr. complex, so I walked in (daughter in tow) to make an appointment. They were able to take her straight away. Dr. Stewart made it a point to connect with her. To put her at ease. Asked her questions. Joked with her, and lo and behold was able to diagnose her issue easily. The office staff was super professional and competent, and Dr. Stewart was so good that my daughter said she wished he could be her "everything" doctor. Whew, what a relief to have found this specialist office!

"Extra Stars for being an Engineer!"…read more Believe it or not, this surgeon has a B.S in exercise science, as well as a master's degree in engineering. Medicine + Engineering: it doesn't get any better than that! Yes, there is a wait to see this surgeon, and there's a good reason for it. She is professional and thorough. She's spent a lot of time with me, diagnosing my foot injury. She carefully examined my foot, checked out the x-ray, and showed me the indications on the MRI image. It was sort of like attending a medical school lecture, but cheaper. I had injured my foot in a trail running accident. My podiatrist insisted I go see Dr Andersen. It was well worth the wait. Note that the office is now in Danville--no longer in pleasanton. If you're a good patient, Dr Andersen might give you a notepad shaped like a foot.

You would never guess that a simple fall down two stairs could change your life so desperately. After almost 4 years of being bounced from one doctor to another, I finally found Dr Andersen. By that time? I had seen eight orthopedic surgeons, had 10 x-rays, six MRIs and an EMG (which was probably the most brutal procedure I have had thus far in my life? And I had an 11 pound baby). My ankle was very damaged, nothing was broken, but everything was torn. Due to that, all other physicians basically told me they didn?t want to do surgery because of the nerve damage that had been done and the nerve pain that I was having. I feel blessed that I finally got to a doctor, who acknowledged that I was likely to have nerve pain for the rest of my life but also that putting my ankle back together should be a huge priority! Dr. Andersen explained EVERYTHING! We are 7 months passed the surgery date, and there have been snags? but she has been positive and has explained each step. Amazing Doctor

I do not know who handles their scheduling for appointments, but he needs to be replaced immediately. I called on a Monday, and apparently, their system was down. He told me he'd call back in 30 minutes to an hour. By Thursday, I still hadn't received a call back, so I called again. Same man picked up the phone and (again) he was very difficult to hear and understand. When I asked him to repeat his question, he immediately became very condescending and began speaking to me in a very slow and rude tone. After I provided all of my insurance information, he refused to make me an appointment because of "a past due balance." We have never been to this office, we have no past-due balance with any provider, and our insurance is paid in full. He adamantly refused to make an the appointment until he "spoke with" his supervisor. He said he'd call me back in 15 minutes... Here we are HOURS later and no call. I called my insurance, and they saw no issue and were very confused about why we could not make an appointment. I went ahead and EASILY made an appointment with UCSF.
