I do not know who handles their scheduling for appointments, but he needs to be replaced immediately. I called on a Monday, and apparently, their system was down. He told me he'd call back in 30 minutes to an hour. By Thursday, I still hadn't received a call back, so I called again. Same man picked up the phone and (again) he was very difficult to hear and understand. When I asked him to repeat his question, he immediately became very condescending and began speaking to me in a very slow and rude tone. After I provided all of my insurance information, he refused to make me an appointment because of "a past due balance." We have never been to this office, we have no past-due balance with any provider, and our insurance is paid in full. He adamantly refused to make an the appointment until he "spoke with" his supervisor. He said he'd call me back in 15 minutes... Here we are HOURS later and no call. I called my insurance, and they saw no issue and were very confused about why we could not make an appointment. I went ahead and EASILY made an appointment with UCSF. read more

My Mother saw Dr Behzadi about her shoulder. She had pre authorization from her insurance to see him. She paid her ten dollar copay to see a specialist when she saw him. He took a couple X-rays and told her she is too old to have surgery to fix the shoulder. Ok she's 84 I understand. Months later she is billed 585 dollars. He accepted payment from her insurance company but insurance would not pay 950 dollars for this visit which was what he wanted to charge. His billing service told my Mom it would be taken to collections so she paid. Good Luck using him.!Sure you are in network sure you have preauthorization but wait till the bill appears and charges you whatever amount he wishes. Thank God he didn't do surgery who knows what that bill would have looked like. It was a snowy day in Park City, Utah when an icy turn on a snowboard led to a med team deployment on the mountain followed by a towed ride on a snowmobile followed by a stretcher-transfer in a truck to the medical clinic at the ski resort. Yada yada yada: Dislocation + break = Not a happy Robin. I received amazing treatment on the mountain and the doctor gave me my xrays/files and told me to find a really good orthopedist...so off to Dr. Behzadi I went. Overall my experience with Dr. Behzadi and the office is top notch. A dislocation and a break are treated almost exactly opposite, so this was a pretty serious injury. 11 months later it's like nothing ever happened and I attribute that to the expert care I received. Not only is Dr. Behzadi an expert in his field, but he isn't surgery-happy and I never felt like I had to worry that he would push an expensive surgical fix, which seems typical in the industry now-a-days. As the other reviews mentioned sometimes I had a lengthy wait....but there were other times that I got in right away. And once I actually messed up the times, arrived 2 hours early and they came and got me at my car so that they could squeeze me in. I understand other reviewers' frustration, but I really don't want to trust a major injury to a doctor's office that is NOT busy. This office in San Ramon has easy parking, decent coffee and is clean. The waiting room is large with lots of places to sit. It's also open with good light. Please note now that at the time of my writing this, I'm still waiting to hear back from Dr. Elrashidy's assistant/nurse, Maria, regarding the issues I'm outlining below. I have an HMO, and after a few months of continual right knee pain, my doctor referred me to Tri-Valley. Initially I called the Pleasanton office, who booked me an appointment the following week (before Christmas) with them at the Norris Canyon (San Ramon) facility. I showed up for my appointment and found out that it was supposed to have been in Pleasanton that morning, and not at the location I was told to show up at. The front desk apologized, re-booked me for the following Wednesday at the Norris Canyon facility. There was a wait, I had five or six radiographs done of my right and left knees, then the doctor came in post-review. At this point the only "intake" was a basic sheet of paper, no discussion with the nurse, no discussion about the problem with the doctor. Just, "here's what I see, here's what we need to do, my nurse will give you the information." The nurse wasn't sure if my HMO would approve the requested medical options (Naproxen, phys. therapy, knee brace) but gave me the information for the phys. therapy office in Castro Valley and sent my Rx to a CVS. A few days on the Naproxen, I began to realize the excruciating back pain I suddenly began dealing with was associated with the anti-inflammatory; I've never, up until this point, had any back pain to begin with so it was incredibly unusual that I now had it. Turns out, that's a less common side effect, so heeding pharmacy warnings, I ceased use and called them. Left a message for Maria. Then another, a week later, and two more in the following weeks. Let's review this timeline, shall we?: December 18th, appointment information was wrong, rescheduled. December 28th, actual appointment. January 2nd, begin Naproxen. January 8th, discontinued. Four voice mails and one "open case" later, I'm still in pain, no one from the clinic has bothered to return my calls regarding their mismanagement, the company they told me to get the brace from doesn't actually make them (but I can get a sling one from them... or Target, so you know, useless) and now what do I do? Unfortunately, again, HMO. I have to go back to my doctor, spend another $25, get another referral to another clinic, and hope that the same bullpoop doesn't happen again. At this rate, ignoring your patient's repeated requests for alternative options is borderline patient neglect. My husband consulted Dr Stine for hip pain in April, 2012. Dr Stine ordered an MRI and diagnosed a CAM lesion and labral tear caused by a pistol grip deformity of my husband's femoral head. Dr Stine was sure that this was the source of my husband's hip pain. Dr Stine said he "would recommend consideration for a diagnostic and therapeutic hip injection under live fluoroscopy." My husband agreed to the injection. Afterwards, he did not notice any change in his symptoms. On December 5, 2012, Dr Stine said that "given the failure of significant conservative management including rest, ice, anti-inflammatories, activity modification, physical therapy and injection therapy, the next step is to undergo hip arthroscopy," to which my husband agreed. My husband never recovered from the arthroscopy. He was in extreme pain for four months and found that it was often impossible to contact Dr Stine. I felt like Dr Stine had abandoned my husband, and so I yelped about it. The very next day Dr Stine called and persuaded my husband to ask me to delete my yelp. He made an appointment to see my husband immediately. He admitted that his arthroscopy had failed and scheduled my husband for a total hip replacement. It has been three years since Dr Stine replaced my husband's hip joint, and my husband is still in at least as much pain as before he consulted Dr Stine. Recently in reviewing his medical records, my husband realized that Dr Stine never explained to him that the lack of relief from any symptoms after his hip injection, which Dr Stine noted in the above quote from my husband's medical record, meant that my husband's pain did not come from his hip. Dr Stine should have explained to my husband at that point that surgery would not relieve the pain from which he continues to suffer. Clearly, my husband's "cadillac insurance" made Dr Stine see dollar signs and a chance to get more experience with the latest trend in hip surgery. While Dr Stine may be an excellent surgeon, he needs oversight in interpreting therapeutic and diagnostic indications. His enthusiasm and self-confidence can be persuasive, but get a second opinion before you let him operate. Recent reports have established that the arthroscopic procedure he used on my husband, in which cartilage is scraped and punched with little holes on the assumption that it will stimulate cartilage regrowth, lacks any evidence of benefit: in virtually all cases, this surgery has made a total hip replacement necessary. Hopefully, Dr Stine has learned this and is no longer practicing this procedure. read more

Awful Awful Awful! Dr. Horner and staff are the most unprofessional office I've ever been to. He is always about 45 minutes to an hour late for every appointment and never knows nor remembers why you're there. I've been off work since July due to a bad injury and it is now October and every visit he wants to give me a cortisone shot and to see him in 4 weeks. He never has had the notes with him when he comes in to see me and the past 2 times I've had to remind him that I've already had the cortisone shot. When he does see you (an hour late) he walks in without ever shutting the door and your whole visit MAY last 2 minutes, if you're lucky. My last visit he came in eating a Apple and didn't remember why I was being seen although it was my 5th visit with him. The front office staff is just as bad however the 2 young ladies who book your appointments and schedule your physical therapy are extremely nice. Sonia is by far the most rude and snobby (you know what) I have ever dealt with. She makes it seem as if you're being a inconvenience to her for being there, although her job is apparently to just stand in the hallway and print papers. I've asked the front office staff to never have her call me with anything regarding my appointments or anything related to me. She's accused me of being a liar and even hung up on me because I didn't remind her to copy my license. Umm ok? Stay away people! I selected this provider for the convenience of a local provider who could help me with a hand and wrist injury. The office doesn't return calls. The service is absolutely deplorable. Most of the representatives are rude and don't seem like they want to help. Many of the representatives talk over you when you try to explain the reason for your call. I was even told by one of the staff (after explaining I had placed over ten calls in several weeks with no response) that they are busy and I just have to wait. The worker's comp representative and her supervisor are non-responsive. It took dozens of calls to receive a response from someone just to schedule an appointment for an evaluation and I only received a response after i practically begged a staff member from an unrelated department to help me. During my examination, I informed Dr. Gregory Horner of how difficult it was to receive any assistance (weeks of calling and waiting and finally got an appointment three months after initial contact). It's been nearly six months after the evaluation and the doctor and medical office have not provided the results or written report. Every time I call to find out the status of the evaluation, they transfer me to Evelyn at extension 6262 and she never returns the calls. Her supervisor does not return calls either. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a medical office. read more

Dr. Horner was my surgeon and I suffered an injury known as a Scapholunate Dissociation. An injury in which I thought I would never be able to have a functional wrist/hand ever again. Happy to say the physical therapy has subsided most pain and given back almost 100% mobility. If you're looking to be rushed through the Ortho line visit others, I've been. If your looking for an Orthopedist that cares about taking the time to listen and diagnose your situation and give solid feedback on Pro's and cons of options then search nowhere other. I had to wait about 45 minutes for my appointment, and we were told in the waiting room that Dr. Horner was "in surgery." However, when I finally got into the office to be seen, I heard him and the head scheduler talking in the hallway about how he had to deal with a computer issue in another building. He was cussing about it and eating his lunch. Walked into my room eating chips, walked back out and said "that can't be right." Came back in and said "you don't look like you're in any pain!" He never read my chart, didn't know why I was there, and never introduced himself or asked me ONE question about what happened to me. He just walked back out and ordered an x-ray. Thankfully the x-ray tech was super sweet and I just kept thinking that I felt sorry for her that she had to work for such a jerk. He came back in after the x-ray, talked to me for literally one minute, and told me to go to physical therapy. What a joke! I've never had such a jerk for a doctor. read more

6/30/2018 If you value your health, turn and walk away from this place. Chances are good that if Dr. Sean Dougherty is your surgeon, walking may not be an option later on. I thought I did my homework choosing this doctor to reconstruct the torn ligaments and bone spurs in my ankle. He sold me with the words, " I don't work on knees, hips, or backs. Only the foot." I thought I was getting an expert. Instead, I ended up with nerve damage and excuses from the doctor, who insisted the shooting, stinging, electrical shocks in my ankle, and the numb, burning sensations I continue to have 14 months post surgery, are stemming from a back problem. He even wanted to send me to his "back guy", who is part of this same group of doctors. Instead, I consulted 2 other doctors outside of this group who both confirmed that my pain is caused by an issue below the knee, possibly from the nerve block I was given. Dr. Dougherty disagreed of course. I have had to retire from my job early due to the pain I suffer. I cannot even wear a sock on the foot that was operated on. The compression of the sock is unbearable. I am praying that there will someday be relief for me. I have spent over a year in depression over my results. Always running behind. At least an hour behind schedule. My mom has Alzheimer's and is in a wheelchair and needs a transport service to get her to and from her appointments. Her last appointment was an hour behind schedule which meant the transport service couldn't pick her up when we needed them to after her appointment so we waited 45 more minutes after the appointment was over. Very frustrating. No effort to call and let their patients know they're running behind. I get that they can be late once in a while but every time??? Fast forward to 2011 when I no longer work in orthopedic clinics so I asked my PT colleagues for a recommendation for my every worsening knee. An orthopedic clinical specialist PT and a geriatric PT recommended Dr. Stine at Tri Vally Orthopedics. Dr. Stine has been helping me manage my arthritis for 8 years, using conservative measures. I always find him caring, willing to listen and making sure I am part of all decisions made around my knee. I trust him completely as I prepare for a knee replacement in the coming months, knowing that he is skilled and compassionate and this decision is not made lightly or hurriedly. I recommend this practice and Dr. Stine to anyone looking for good orthopedic care. read more

The very best in veterinary medicine! My doc, Immerman, seems to be ok, but their system is ridiculous and terrible!!! I had delicate and serious surgery, but nobody followed up. That wouldn't be so bad, but when I tried to get a hold of someone to get a prescription for pain meds, I was on hold for thirty-three minutes, then got a voice mail box, the message saying that the doc's "personal" assistant would get back to me; she never did, nor did she respond to the fax request from the pharmacy! I was in a car accident this year June 20th 2018 and resulted into a whiplash. I was treated at 5601 Norris Canyon Rd. #130 San Ramon, CA 94583 Physical Therapy department twice in one week. I have cancelled all my forthcoming appointments. I was working with Melanie Wong MPT. I filled out all the necessary paperwork and cancel policy. If you fail to cancel in 24 hours you are responsible for half the treatment/visit cost if you fail to cancel in 48 hours you paid the full payment for treatment/visit $160.00. The reason for my review is the principal here for the many past or current patients that have experience the same situation. I'm all for following rules and policies. Unaware that this office did not have any resource such as, the ability to leave a voice mail message to cancel or after hours answering service to relate a message it the timely manner to comply with their cancel policy we are required to follow. After three attempts Friday 6pm through Monday morning 8:00am and speaking to the answering receptionist. I was hit with an email within the hour to pay the full fee for not cancelling in time. I have learned a lesson here I will confirm any office going forward has the means for us to leave messages after hours to cancel and avoid fees. It's not about the money. I feel I have been taken advantage of. I'm sure I'm not the first to relate this matter to the office staff/management. I'm really hope other past or present patients will also post a review. Dr. Gregory Horner is the most awful and arrogant SOB you can ever come across in your lifetime. I had the misfortune of being referred to him by my primary physician after struggling with bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome and bilateral tendinitis in elbows for several years. After making me wait more than 90 minutes for the appointment, he walked into the room, did not even examine me, never made any eye contact let alone say hello, and just looking at the charts, he said, "Surgery. There's nothing I can do for you but surgery." And then walked out of the room before I can respond to his utterance. Did I mention, he didn't even close the door so the entire hallway and other people could hear my medical information? I have shared my experience with several other colleagues, friends and doctors who also had the misfortune of seeing him or knowing him, and they have all shared similar sentiments of being treated without any respect. Awful, I had foot surgery in the summer. Went to every appointment and X-ray, stayed off foot for the required time. The whole recovery I kept saying I thought something was wrong and asking why the top down X-ray looked like the bone was healing crooked....kept being told it will be fine, no worries. Finally went to another specialist because my toe was sitting 1.5 inches off ground and completely immobile. Turns out my bone heard wrong the entire time and my toe shifted out of place. When I confronted Doctor, his reply was "well I mean I guess if you want to run you have to get it fixed".....I could run before surgery! I never had an apology or follow up after that appointment. Was never told they would try to fix. It was more of sorry about your luck. Do not go to Dr Doughtery....young and cocky. Ignored all my concerns and then when confronted, acted like what's the big deal. I have now had to have a plate put into my foot to keep my bone in place and hold my toe correctly. Not only will a doctor refuse to see you if you don't sign their arbitration form before your appointment they also have a form that states some of their doctors have a financial stake in their practice. First visit here the other day and I was expecting a pleasant visit as my husband had been here a few months ago and recommended Dr. Burgar because he had a great experience and thorough visit with her. Unfortunately she was out on maternity leave, so I read about the other doctors on their website and decided to go with Dr. Horner - I should have read a few of these reviews before I did that :( Side note- Working in patient care myself I always tend to expect the best, after all the patients are the people keeping your practice going so why wouldn't you treat them with the best possible care with your best attitude- Anyway, during my visit with Dr. Horner I felt like he had one foot out the door the whole time. Came in and quickly introduced himself, no handshake nor "Hi so and so.." I wonder if he even read what my name was and the problem I was having? probably not. There were so many instances in that short visit where I thought to myself "WTF" ... Turned out I had tendinitis in my wrist so we went with a cortisone shot, he kind of explained things but I felt like it was so rushed and tedious for him that he was almost robotic. After giving me the shot, which I will assume had Lidocaine as my hand became numb lasting for some time, which he failed to mention- he said to lie down, left and never came back. So after about 10 minutes I found an assistant or - whoever, I don't know because no one introduces themselves or has id badges- and asked her to find out if i was done or not to which she quickly replied "oh yea you are". Was someone going to tell me that or leave me in there forever? While I didn't have an unpleasant interaction with reception, I did overhear conversations while waiting and the tone in which they used with patients was pretty unprofessional and unpleasant. Needless to say I highly unlikely will be back unless its to see the same doctor my husband saw.. I just felt Dr. Horner's chair side manner was unprofessional and uncaring. read more

I wish I could give this zero star! They tell you to show up 10 minutes early and you end up waiting for 40 minutes to see your doctor. When Dr Julian finally came in he told me I needed surgery and left. Then some other lady with no professional training came in to answer any questions and concerns I have and gave me other opinions. I got a piece of paper with additional information. That is ridiculous!! I deserve a doctor that will take the time to give me all of the options. Why should I trust this office? I don't care if you go to the office in San Ramon, Pleasanton, or Livermore, this medical group has turned into nothing but money-hungry doctors. My son, who is now 21 years old visited a doctor here for a ankle injury. He broke his ankle when he was young and has visited the same doctor here several times before. Even so, this doctor charged us nearly $300.00 for an intial visit, what they called a history and consult. We were in the examining room 5 minutes. We were then directed to an expensive MRI and xray visit of nearly $2,000. Afterwards a follow-up visit to discuss results ($350.00) when he referred us to his partner since the results were out of his realm since he saw: "arthritis, bone spurrs and heaven knows what else."(I thought that is why we saw "him" in the first place. But ok,It gets better: next visit another "new patient visit" (nearly $300.00) with partner who says there is nothing wrong with my son. He just "walks funny"! He suggests shoe inserts. So my friends, nearly $3,000 later we found ourselves back to square1. Who do you believe, Dr #1 or his partner, Dr #2? Oh ya, when I called and complained to the billing manager about the outrageous fees she stated,"what's the problem, you have insurance". Wow, now that makes me feel a whole lot better. Avoid this medical group!! Oh yes, one more thing, if you do disregard my warning, plan on spending and average of over an hour to see a doctor at your appointment!! read more
