Jacob insisted he would be onsite and supervise the job - but he NEVER showed up! Roofers started job at 430pm and finished at 8pm. They were in a hurry obviously - due to loss of daylight! And it shows in the poor quality job and lack of materials used. I advised Jacob of the shoddy workmanship and items not installed - and his response was "we installed everything! Why would you say we didn't?" He wasn't even there during the job - yet he claims job was done right - BEFORE he even bothered to come look at the roof! What kind of "Business Development" does he think that is? One of the goons (Bolton) told me he was an inspector, when I stated I need the roof inspected so to address my concerns. I asked him, "why didn't you inspect the roof after the job?" Bolton replies, "The crew said they did the job well"! Ha, ha, ha! That is Bolton's idea of an inspection - ask the crew if they did their job! What a joke! Avoid these clowns if you want roof done right! NOT worth the hassle! Poor workmanship! Long version: We used Luke's for a small job in March to remove some grasses on the side of our house. They accidentally replaced all the mulch in the front yard (not part of the job we contracted them for), but did fix it. Then when spring rolled around we noticed all of our plants were dying in the backyard and some in the front. We scheduled them to come back to look at the area where they removed the grasses since it was on top of a sprinkler line. Sure enough, the guy who came out saw that the lines weren't connected and fixed them. We were fortunate that the plants and trees were still under warranty so we were able to replace them. If they weren't, it would have cost us thousands. The reason for the terrible review, aside from the fact that all evidence points to them messing up our sprinklers, is Christina, their scheduler/receptionist. They no-showed the appointment to fix the sprinklers and when I called and told her it was urgent because we believe they may have disconnected or broken the sprinklers she argued saying they hadn't been out in over a year (incorrect, which I can prove from the invoices). She got so angry that she told me she was cancelling the appointment (that they no showed anyway). She said i was difficult, but I did not raise my voice or curse, i just told her I wasn't able to be home when they wanted to reschedule. I got my husband to call and she went on a diatribe about how we were inflexible (but we provided times for them to come back to fix the sprinklers, there was just a 30 minute window that wouldn't work?). She then continued to bash me to my husband who cut her off and told her he just wanted them to come fix the sprinklers we believe they broke. They did end up coming out and we are back in business, but there is no way we would ever hire them again so long as Christina works there. Sounds like the feeling is probably mutual. Had it just been the job mistakes, I probably wouldn't have posted the review because they did their best to fix them (Jesus who came to fix the sprinkler issue was great), but I'm shocked a company would have Christina representing them.

He knows the severity of the issues he finds, and puts them in perspective for the clients - that is, when he finds a big issue, he lets us know its a big issue, but when it's a small one, or deferred maintenance, he is able to put it in perspective for the client. The inspection report he provides is an informational piece as well as a report, helping the homeowner find water and gas shutoffs, electrical disconnects, sewer cleanouts, etc, so it has value after the findings are used for a real estate transaction. Jim has a reputation in the industry, also, as competent and thorough. i'm in the industry. When I buy my next house, I'm using Jim.
