We used them for an interstate move and wished we hadn't ; they do not inventory anything so you can't prove they lost it, and have no recourse. They lost a 36" marble table top, multiple boxes, cut the hoses off of the hose reel, and ruined both bicycles among other issues. Their trucks are poorly maintained and the one with our stuff broke down causing them to be a day and a half late because they had to transfer everything to another truck that they rented. When their truck got stuck I had to use my truck to pull it out, breaking a 20,000 lb pull strap. I asked Peter (the owner) to replace it and to fix the ruts in the yard from their truck and his response was "What do you want me to do about it? It's your yard, you handle it." They Should change there name to Jensen Moving and Mold (I do not think there claims of humidity controlled warehouse meet any industry standards. items I stored with Jensen moving and Storage showed humidity damage swollen wood, mold, rust on my appliances, all I seen when I went there was the same little dehumidifiers like bought at Home Depot rated for a few rooms) I think this all could have been resolved and this review avoided, had they ever apologized and accepted responsibility and repaired the flooring. Jensen Moving and Storage lost furniture, destroyed furniture damaged brand new Brazilian cherry floors. Constantly drop the F Bomb. Used my driveway as an ashtray. And got caught on doorbell camera after my wife asking them to be careful because of the new flooring just to hear them say F these people a few minutes later on the door bell camera. Bottom line is the only thing Peter the owner of Jensen Moving and Storage cares about is your money and not your belongings. They will loose items, damaged items and only thing EJ, Peter and William will say is you owe us. Over charged by $500 more then the contract on the move to storage, seemed to pad the hours to load the truck on the move from storage to my home. Took 2 guys 2.5 to unload the truck but took 3 guys 3.5hrs to load the truck Also seems they advertise as 27 years in business but the current owners have only had it for about 5 years and definitely do run this company the same as the previous owners. Jensen Beach Movers are the worst movers ever and the owner Peter is nasty and dismissive. This happened a couple of years ago but people are now posting their bad experiences on the Nextdoor app. I hope I can prevent someone else from a horrible moving experience. Moving is hard enough. I had a very bad experience with Jensen Beach Moving and Storage. In June 2015 I signed up to move the contents of my condo in Jensen Beach to a house in Port St Lucie about 10 miles away. Most of the furniture and items were going to be put in their storage facility and a few pieces were being dropped off at my rental house. A man named EJ came over to do the estimate. He said we needed the big truck. The storage items would be put into the back of the truck and the items for the rental house would be put in last for an easy drop off. Three guys arrived on the moving date and started packing the items I could not pack myself. In the middle of taking my items to the truck, they told me they were not going to make it. The truck was too small. I told them EJ said he would send a large truck but he had not done so and the large trucks were in use. I had to wait for over two hours while the movers called the owner Peter who had to go rent a U-Haul. I was paying by the hour. I had to pay for the time it took them to get a hold of Peter and wait for Peter to bring the U-Haul. I did not get to my new location in Port St Lucie (leaving from JB) until around 7 PM after starting at 9 AM. As soon as I looked over the few pieces dropped off at the rental house, I saw all the damage to my furniture. The back of my leather couch had a rip in it, the stone top of my coffee table and both end tables were chipped. Ray, the head mover, said to take pictures which I did and he would notify Peter Ammann the owner. I texted the photos to Ray who was going to show Peter. Peter would not return my calls for months. When he finally did he sent a man from Aarons Furniture who said he could not repair the leather and I needed a stone guy for the chipped tables. Peter flat out said he would NOT pay to repair marble. At the time I didn't know with whom I could file a complaint. When I finally got my furniture out of storage, my desk, dining room table, bedroom dressers and 55 inch TV were totally ruined. I had to sand down part of the dresser to avoid splinters. So Peter will read this and make some comment about why did you wait so long to post this. One because you had my stuff in storage and wouldn't let me in to get any of it and two, I found you intimidating. However, after reading what others have posted, I find you a joke. Since Jensen Beach Moving and Storage is not associated with a national moving company, our household goods were picked up and expertly packed in a dedicated Ryder truck. Drew oversaw the loading and unloading and personally drove the truck from our Palm City, FL home to a storage facility in San Diego. The absolutely most dishonest businessman I have ever dealt with. Don't even think the term insured me anything. They ruined the finish on my Henredon table leaving deep gouges in it . The foreman wrote it up as damage they caused not using blankets and the owner denied it happening even with their and my photos of the damage! . Worst experience. I had the owner Earl come to my home to see the amount of furniture so I could get an accurate estimate. The time I was quoted for the full job was way off. The guys were very inexperienced and showed up with out the proper tools to take apart the furniture and had to borrow tools from a neighbor I called and left a message for Earl during the move and I never received a return call. Several months after the move I was changing around my furniture and noticed they put my bed together with out all the screws. read more

I was given one quote for specifically 4 guys and 2 trucks. It was so chaotic on moving day. When it was finished the price was for 5 guys and almost $300 more. I spoke to EJ on the phone and even reminded him that we spoke about this prior to the move and we were in agreement. But basically he said to bad. I will never use them again or recommend them. Jensen movers actually moved my one home twice due to the 1st sale falling through. I had them store my belongings for approximately 3 months waiting for my new home to finish. When delivered I found numerous antiques damaged. My furniture has been moved from the UK, Bahamas, Bermuda throughout the US and NEVER any damage. My new home is 10 minutes from old one. I called and EJ came to my new home inspected, recommended a repairman and said to send the estimate to him. All of which I did and then the estimate was approved. All the time I was expecting full reimbursement. Estimate was approved so I moved forward with repair. Furniture was repaired and repairman was paid. I sent copy of check to JM in April 2019 still expecting full reimbursement. May 2019 comes around and finally I receive a check NO WHERE close to the cost of repairs. I called and was told the repair reimbursement was based on pounds. VERY disappointed after JM making a pretty penny off of me while moving my old home twice and then final time to new home. read more

I was very unhappy with the move. My main problem was the fact that i told them i wanted everything out of the condo that nothing was to be left behind. I had to pay some one else to come and finish the move when i found out what they left behind. If you hire them stay there and make sure they get everything, do not leave them alone. that was my mistake. I have moved 6 times in 4 years, many of them large interstate moves with larger companies. I have never had a problem during any other move. My most recent move was less than 5 miles apart, but it did require the moving company to store my belongings for 2 months. I went with a local company, Jensen Moving and Storage. I had several negative experiences that could have simply been fixed and this review avoided, had they ever apologized. They chose a different course of action, so I find myself writing a review because I do not want anybody else to have a similar experience. Here is my story: 1 - I am missing the bottom shelf from a table and an additional side table. They do not do a bill of lading or inventory, so honestly, who knows if other things are missing. I called multiple times over the course of a week trying to ask about my missing items. I was told the manager, EJ, would have to come out to my place and discuss this personally. He did come to the apartment. He saw the missing shelf, and I discussed my other concerns with him. He told me that he would search the warehouse and get back to me. I waited a week before calling and leaving a message. I did not hear back, so I called again 5 days later. William told me that they did not find my missing items and "we think you are crazy. If you want to see us in court, we will see you there." Court never crossed my mind and probably never will. These things are easily replaceable, and I would have been satisfied had anybody at Jensen Moving simply apologized instead of being rude in conversation and calling me crazy. 2 - In my opinion, the communication is sub par. Instance #1: I received a phone call from William advising me that my card was going to be charged $425 for final delivery. I agreed. I checked my bank account a few moments later to find a charge for $435. I called back and he stated there was a $10 processing fee. That's fair, but why was it not mentioned before? Instance #2: When my belongings were put into storage, I was quoted $160. A few days later, I received a phone call stating my payment was being declined. I asked for the amount being charged and was advised $220 because they needed an additional crate that wasn't expected. Again, not a major issue, but had I been advised sooner I would have made sure I transferred the appropriate amount of money into the bank account. Instance #3: I was quoted over the phone 2 men at $99/hour for approx 3 hours for both pick-up and delivery. Both quotes were very far off and were closer to 5 hours because I was not told that port-to-port time, drive time, and warehouse time are also charged on top of the 3 hour pick-up and delivery time. I way under-budgeted because I do not feel like I was given all the information needed to budget appropriately. 3 - Multiple little things, that would have been brushed by the wayside had I not realized I was missing furniture, include scratched/damaged furniture, dirty couch cushions, broken dishes, broken picture frames, broken kitchen island cart, and missing vacuum accessories. They packed my mattress in a plastic mattress cover that was purchased. The cover was shredded and the side of the 10 month old mattress was black from dirt and filth. I know all of these are little things, that in the grand scheme of things don't matter, but when compounded with the entire experience I find they quickly heighten my frustration. 4 - I really liked the crew that picked up my belongings. The off-load crew was a little more unprofessional. I was continually asked for a 5-star review. One employee even went so far, to say "if you have an android phone, I can just do it for you." The other employee removed his work t-shirt and asked us "not to tell his boss because it is against the rules and he will get a $5 fine if he gets caught." I live with my sister when I am not on the road as a traveling nurse. Most of my large items are stored in their cool an inexpensive storage facility. The one reason I chose this company is because, I did not have to pack a thing. It was as simple as, making an appointment. After that, everything was handled. The employees were nice and all of my items were secure, organized, and safely put in the right places. This is a very profession moving company with experience. I have used this company twice. I called the co owner Eric to let him know they had broken my curio glass, damaged my new sofa and other misc items damaged . I was told by him that I should read the fine print of the contract that they are not responsible for damages . Really? Who is then? They did replace the glass in the cabinet however they did not fix my antique desk that was broken. He said because there were items left in it. He never even apologized for the damage or offer to make it up to me in anyway. His tone was that this was my fault. I would not recommend this company unless you want to be responsible for the damages they do to your possessions . They are not concerned with their reputation in the community it seems like. I agree with Ann. This company did the worst possible job. Over 15 pieces of my furniture were damaged. The crew boss on the date of delivery was so angry with his employer that he took it out on my furniture. He put drinks with condensation on my wood furniture while the truck was being unloaded and it left a permanent water stain. The company has made a very unacceptable response. They have given me nothing for my claim after I provided detailed documentation and repair estimates. They boasted about having won a case against another client who claimed damage to their furniture. I Recently moved in Hobe Sound ,Fl. And I got a good recommendation from a good reliable source for a mover. Jensen Beach movers on Savannah rd was recommended. I met with a young man at my home who assured me of their great record and no problems with stealing. I have to say My husband and I were soooo disappointed. It was raining and they moved my furniture without wrapping it which I was told they would wrap. I insisted they wrap and they did on a few items but most beds went unwrapped. Out of 4 men 2 were on cell phones most of the time. One young man came late with his own auto. I was willing to overlook many of the unprofessional behaviors, until we realized we had items stolen. We were contacted by one mover in the evening who told us he witnessed one of the movers stealingand putting items in the young mans own car. He was distressed that he didn't say anything . I called the moving Co. And left a message. That evening I was contacted by another young man that moved us that day( the alleged thief) and he said he found one item. It wasn't until a few days later after we unpacked that we realized more items were missing. We called the company back . They still never returned our call and asked them to get our merchandise back. After no success we called the thief back and asked for everything he stole. He wanted to know where to meet if he could get a hold on it. He informed us he was on probation and didn't want any trouble, To make a very long and upsetting story short we didn't get our items back, the owner said he believed his men that they didn't take anything and told us to take care of problem ourselves. I find it upsetting that a man on probation was allowed to work for a moving company. I find it more upsetting that the owner was mostly indifferent ,never apologized and never even called us until a week later after we called him again. This isn't over, I just wanted to make sure nobody uses this company again. They may have been good before but they aren't anymore, this is the first time I have said anything bad about any business in writing. Absolutely the worst possible. Lost belongings, damaged just about everything. They wrapped nothing. Expensive furniture was badly damaged. Original quote was not honored and they overcharged by supplies on moving day! Out of the blue there were extra charges for boxes, etc. when original quote was "all inclusive". I was on a deadline to move that day because my house was being renovated and I had to be out for two months. Otherwise, I would have thrown them out immediately. Difficult to resolve any of the problems and most not resolved. What was not damaged came back very dirty. Air conditioned warehouse, my foot. No respect for my belongings whatsoever. The men were annoyed that I didn't have a cooler in the garage. What? I was supposed to supply them with beer? Really. The leader was very annoyed that I didn't hire his wife to work to unpack! I've Been Waiting to get internet so I could Start damaging your reputation like you ruined and broke,lost and stole all my stuff and had the nerve to charge me 1500.00 . so now where do we start.No legs for sofa, they took them off and never put them back on.N o one knew how to pack up a grandfather clock,so I had to get my friend to do it for me. They lost the weights. They broke so much glass,so if you hire them make sure they give you a case of crazy glue for all your repairs.Also the movers weighed about 140 lbs. My grandson has bigger arms.Also today 4 months later I discover that one of them stoled s coin collection that I have had for 30 yrs. Then on top of that they would not even come to my house to look at damages.So you decide do you want to trust this co.with all your loved possessions.
