They also repaired an unexpected cracked rim, like we were from the community, while we waited. Tried to tell me my engine seized and needed a new motor for 12k. I'm from out of state so I guess they thought they had a fish on the hook. Got it to my mechanic and it fired right up with a new battery. Jensen's "mechanic" showed me the oil he drained and it was all metallic. Guess what MY mechanic found the truck full of? Good oil! They also won't return phone calls so that they can rack up storage fee charges. Crooked mechanics that WILL rip you off. Avoid them like the plague!!!!! Very hard to work with . My car broke down on hwy on a night it had to be snowing out I got the alternator fixed brand new and paid a arm and leg had it for a couple weeks and my brand new alternator is acting up . an honest review of my dealing with this place, I was ripped off and taken advantage of. $817.00 towing fee! I was recently in that 100 car pile up on 94 and they towed my car to there shop. I had a broken rim/flat tire from the accident. He opened the shop for us at 9AM Saturday, diagnosed the problem, took a stab at the cheapest fix....new spark plugs. It worked and we were back on the road in 2 1/2 hours! read more

Super fast tow. Super fast service. Our car broke down in the side of the highway on a trip from Chicago to Minnesota. They arrived with a tow truck and had our car completely repaired within a couple hours. We couldn't ask for anything more. Jensen towing and repair saved the day. What can I say other than Rick Jensen and the folks at Jensen Towing & Repair are life savers! We had serious car trouble en route from Chicago to Minneapolis. After calling a couple of mechanics in the Black River Falls area (to which none would help us for days!), Rick and co. were able to immediately take a look at our car, determine the issue and give us a realistic expectation to fix it. Despite their garage about to close for the day, he helped us immeasurably while we waited to be collected by our family. The issue was fixed within a couple of days (this was over the weekend), Rick keep us in the loop the whole time and it was, for the problem that needed addressing, a very reasonable final bill. We live in Chicago, but I'm seriously considering making the trip to Jensen for any future car maintenance or repair (if I can!). Top class, top company, top man! On a trip from Minneapolis to Chicago on Memorial Day I started to feel my car wobble. I was uncertain if it was the axel or the tire pressure and decided to pull off 94. I went to fill my tires with air from the gas station and realized I had a flat tire. Like a divine intervention, Jensen's advertisement glowed from the side of the gas station garage I was at. I called Rick and he came to his store in less than 20 minutes...did I mention it was Memorial Day? Rick replaced my tire with a tire he had in his lot. I was back on the road within an hour of even realizing something was wrong. The rest of the drive home I couldn't stop wondering what would have happened if I had waited to pull off and did not have the ease of service I did at Jensen. Luckily, I will never have to find out. I cannot recommend this place enough. Service was friendly and quick and I am eternally grateful to Rick for coming in on a holiday to help me when I was stranded. read more

Working as a millwright we travel extensively. We had a breakdown with our clutch & slave cylinder while in Hixton. Jensen's answered the phone right away & did make it to pick up our truck quickly. The cons, they are over priced. Charged us $125.00 towing fee to tow our truck 2.9 miles (a competitor in the next town charged a coworker $75 to tow from Hixton to Black River Falls). A major con is that after our credit card was charged correctly, the following week an attempt was made to charge our card 3 times for an amounts that totaled over $1700. I am the one who brought it to their attention. No attempt at any compensation was made even after explaining the complications this now caused for us. Discover confirmed to us that it came from their location/terminal. The husband (Rick??) is easy to talk to & seems genuine but still didn't offer anything for the trouble or over pricing. If you need them in a pinch I recommend them but if you can research a bit I'd suggest checking in Black River Falls. AND I do not recommend you use a credit or debit card and if you do, check your charges closely. I chose a fair rating since they did arrive quickly & the repairs appear to be ok. read more
