Neighbors was the highest price but they had great reviews and we talked with the owner when we first went in and got a good feeling and justified the price by telling ourselves - it we pay top dollar they prob do a great job and that would make it worth it. I have worked for a Millworker company before and have installed a bunch of doors but a shoulder injury has sidelined me. They said the doors were finally ready to install in August and two guys showed up to install them. The original quote was $5600 for the 4 doors and $2,000 per door to install / we got that down to $1,000 per door if I took off the old trim and put it back up myself. The one installer could not of been nicer to deal with and said he'd worked there for 3 years. Turns out all four doors were made with the wrong sweeps on the bottom, the locks were drilled wrong and the jams were routed incorrectly for the door latch plates. The first door they installed was very hard to close and the tenant was unable to operate it - I was advised to get a different door sweep at Lowe's which I did and it worked a little better. I hand chiseled out the doors to accept the lock hardware as it was getting late and I didn't want the tenants coming home and not being able to lock the doors. After they left we noticed our door made a very noticeable squeak when closing and my wife was unable to lock or unlock the doors- required pulling tightly on the door handle to be able to engage the deadbolt - 3 out of the 4 doors had that problem. Also noticed daylight coming through in several areas of different doors even though they had spray foamed and taped the doors. Went into Neighbors the next morning to discuss our issues and to cancel a down payment we had put on a garden door. Went into Neighbors were advised there would be a fee to cancel and that no one was available to try to fix our doors for another week and that they would have someone call about our other issues when they came in. The owner called us back and listed all the reasons the doors were made incorrectly - drilled wrong, wrong sweeps installed etc. No apologies but said someone would be out by the end of the week to address. Same installer came out and apologized for the issues ( only apology we received ) and he spent the day installing different sweeps, chiseling out for latch plates and completely re installing our door. After he left I still saw daylight in the lockset area of our door so I pulled off the flimsy tape on the outside and noticed big gaps in the insulation all around the door as well as multiple shims proud of the doors and requiring cleaning up before installing the trim. I pulled tape off all the other doors and they all had the same problems. By then we had given up on Neighbors being able to install the doors correctly and not wanting to inconvenience our tenants again our spend another day undergoing more "tweaking" I bought some spray foam and sealed all the doors correctly, trimmed off all the shims in and out and re taped the exterior with proper tape. I had asked the estimator right off the bat if they could center the doors in the opening so I could re use all the exterior trim that was made to fit inside the siding and he said should be no problem & I left it out for them to see - I had to remake it for 3 of the 4 doors anyway. I sent them an email that according to their website everyone would see outlining all our problems and mentioned the $200 we spent on trim, tape and insulation. A week later and no reply at all, they did call the same day we did finally cancel the door order and said there was still a difference of $200 from what we owed for the install and what we were refunded for the garden door. If your gonna charge top price to do a professional install and to make a correct door you better deliver , and when you fall short you should own it and not ignore it. Look elsewhere for your door need

And guess what? The door still doesn't fit. We don't need another pointless "reset." We need a brand-new door. The one they installed was the WRONG size from the start. They know it, and they're stalling. Now, they won't even return my phone calls or text messages. They're flat-out avoiding us instead of taking responsibility. We placed this order for new windows and doors (see my other review) back in April 2025. It's now almost October, and we're still stuck with a defective door and zero accountability. Renewal by Andersen has wasted months of our time, avoided fixing their mistake, and treated us like we don't matter. My advice? Stay as far away from Renewal by Andersen. Hire a real general contractor--you'll save at least 60% and, more importantly, you won't have to put up with their lies, incompetence, and complete lack of customer service.

We had them measure and quote our downstairs windows. They did this in July 2018. We paid for the windows in July 2018. After many unanswered phone calls and no updates (there storefront was closed), they finally called to schedule installation in December 2018. They came and then found out they had measured wrong or something and all the windows were too big. So they said they had to reorder. After months of no return calls and no updates they finally came to install in May 2019 but the installer had problems and took the frames back to his shop. Another week goes by and he finally returns and finishes. It was the worst installation job. He installed some of the trim backwards. There are many places that look like crap and have major gaps. Of course we tried to contact the company but no calls, no one answers the phone or responds to emails. Very dissatisfied with this company. What a difference from the year prior when all went so well. I have not nor will I ever recommend this company based on the way this was handled.
