After two…read moreyears of searching for answers to help my concussion/TBI, I was referred to Dr. Chizari and I am SO glad I showed up for that free consult. He was the first doctor to listen to every single symptom, have empathy, do actual testing to see what was wrong and present solutions to each symptom. He is professional, understanding, has personal experience with family members suffering from brain injuries, incredibly smart, and dedicated to helping you feel better. There is no ego - he is simply working to help make a difference in each patient's life. Gilda, the office manager, is compassionate and caring, quick to respond, and a bright spot in my day when I have appointments! When I did the initial round of testing, I was suffering from daily headaches, numbness in my face, sound sensitivity, depression and anxiety, brain fog, and an overall sense of hopelessness. After 24 appointments and at home exercises, 90% of my symptoms are completely gone. It made a huge difference. If you're suffering from a brain injury or concussion and feel like you've tried everything... I would would 100% encourage you to try this. It not only brought so much healing to my life, but hope for my future.

From the moment you meet her, you can sense that she is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but deeply compassionate. She listens with genuine care, never rushing you, and makes you feel like your concerns truly matter. In a field as complex as neurology, having a doctor who takes the time to understand the whole person, not just the symptoms and that is invaluable. What stands out most about Dr. Levyim is the way she advocates for her patients. You can feel that she is rooting for you every step of the way. She approaches each appointment with empathy, patience, and an extraordinary depth of expertise. She explains things clearly, answers every question thoughtfully, and ensures you feel supported and understood. In a healthcare system that can sometimes feel impersonal, Dr. Levyim is a breath of fresh air. She leads with both brilliance and heart, and it is evident that she genuinely cares about the wellbeing of the people she treats. I feel incredibly grateful to be under her care. If you are looking for a neurologist who is not only exceptionally skilled but also deeply human, compassionate, and devoted to her patients, Dr. Levyim is truly outstanding. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Dr. Levyim is the Sherlock Holmes of Neurologists. After a series of misdiagnosis after…read moremisdiagnosis by doctors at major hospitals (including UCLA and Children's Hospital), we took our child to Dr. Levyim and she literally saved her life. When something doesn't make sense, Dr Levyim just can't let it go. Twice, Dr. Levyim referred us to other specialists who gave our child a clean bill of health and twice Dr. Levyim told us "something just isn't right." On the third try Dr. Levyim referred us to a specialist who found an easily corrected fatal birth defect in less than 10 minutes. Why, because this 100% lethal birth defect is this doctor's specialty. So while we owe our daughter's life to the specialist, we owe our daughter's life a 100 times more to Dr. Levyim... because, if it wasn't for her, we would have convinced ourselves all the other doctors were right and we were being paranoid. If it wasn't for Dr. Levyim we never would have been referred to subspecialist after subspecialist until we found the one familiar with our daughter's congenital condition. And, if it wasn't not for Dr. Levyim, our daughters would have died in her 20's... she can now expect to live a normal lifespan. THANK YOU Dr. Levyim!!!

He had herniated and bulging discs…read moreas well as stenosis in some of the foramen all in the vicinity of C6, C7, C8 & T1 Before allowing the orthopedist to hack my husband, we went for a 2nd opinion-he met a lady in Costco who had recent neck surgery and she recommended Dr. Taban literally called him God! It took 3 months to get into see him for consultation but we'll worth the wait! My husband was only 40 at the time and after going over his imaging and history he suggested something much different than what Dr. Grossman at SCOI wanted to do to him! (3 discectomies & fusion) holy crap! Dr. Taban said "absolutely not! You're young and healthy...You'll be back in 10 yrs for more surgery!" His recommendations were clearly what my husband needed and we scheduled his surgery w/Taban-had to wait 3 months for the date (that's how busy he is) but again we'll worth to wait! When Dr. Taban got going on the surgery he found that one of my husband's disks had ruptured, and that definitely explained why he was in so much more pain... So he cleaned up all the fragments as well as the bulges and said, there was plenty of disc remaining. No need to remove them. He also performed a Foraminotomy, and a laminectomy, as well as drilled the holes wider for the nerve roots to flow freely through. My husband was a new man within a week! Dr. Taban is amazing! My husband has been doing wonderful ever since-20 years later. He still has some soreness that he has to deal with and does see a chiropractor sometimes. We learned so much through this, and we're so grateful that we found this Dr. Taban. Do not let anyone touch your spine unless they're a neurosurgeon! Even if they're a "spine specialist" don't waste your time! Go to a neurosurgeon. Highly recommend Dr. Taban! P.S. At his office, in the lobby there's lots of reading material available which consists of hundreds of letters from patients thanking him and I can't remember how many of those letters were from people who were hacked by a different doctor and we're coming to Dr. Taban to fix/clean up their mess!
