Going to the dentist doesn't actually bother me - I have no bad childhood horror story that scars me for life to tell about a dentist chair. It's just one of those "Adult Things" that you have to do. This was my first visit to Jephson Street Dental and it was just for a regular check-up. My dental hygienist, Rhonda, was thorough and gave some great tips on more effective flossing (I'll admit, I'm the world's worst flosser). Soon after the dentist came in for her check-up portion of the appointment. Now, what had me leaving my appointment suitably impressed was her observation of a few issues (all interlinked) that could also be causing issues within my jaw. Swiftly she excused herself and came back with two cards to a two specialists she wants me to see. Never, have I had a dentist go that extra step and actually look at dental well-being as something linked to the rest of how our body functions. read more
