Was in a car accident on Thanksgiving and this facility picked up my car after the accident. The…read moreonly reason wby I am giving this place 2 stars rather than 1 is because of the easy online communication with the person I wrote with, in regards to retrieving things from my car and the 1 gentleman that I saw once when I went on a Saturday, who did what he had to do, and because of the wrapling the pit on my car to prevent more damage happening posg accident (weather during the time it was there). This one older man that I had the unfortunate pleasure to have to deal with a few times, was so rude each tim3 I had to go there. Sure, was I there often for my car, for the most part it was emptied out before I got there as my sister and brother in law took things out at the scene, but I still went to grab a few more things, once a day or so because I kept remembering that there was still some other stuff. My first car accident, car was just paid off, so it's a given that I am not thinking straight and in general had a lot on my mind since now I had/have some many things to now have to take car of. The first time I dealt with the grump, was the day after my accident, and me being emotional started tearing over the fact that I most probably lost my car due to someone's recklessness of making a left turn where no left turns are allowed and couldn't make it in time to stop, and after I told the man that and he saw I was teary, he said in a rude tone "Would you rather your family be planning your funeral?". Now, again, my first accident, my first adult purchase that I just paid off, I would be emotional/still in shock that the event happened, forgive me, that I got emotional. I took my pictures, checked the car to be sure my sister grabbed everything and grab anything left, and went home. In the afternoon, I remembered that I still left a CD in the car so I went back the next day, where I met a different employee, who was much kinder, opened the yard without any huffing and gruffing, grabbed the CD and left. Then 2 days later, I remembered I still had some minor things left in the car, like my vent magnet for my phone, and got to deal with the gruff again, who made me feel like I was forcing him to do his job. IT'S NOT LIKE I WANTED TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT, NO ONE DOES! Grabbed the magnet and left. The following day I received confirmation that my car was deemed totaled, and my carrier told me I needed to sign paperwork with the tow yard, to release my car, so that they could pick up the car. I immediately went to the tow yard, to expedite the process in regards to releasing my car, and YET AGAIN, I had to deal with the angry man. The minute he saw me, he was in a foul mood I said I needed to sign paperwork to release my car, and all he had to say was "well do you have something to take your plates off!?" very rudely, to which I replied no, because I didn't know how the process goes/is and asked if I can borrow a screwdriver to take them off and I would leave, and he immediately said, again rude tone, no that they don't. Like what?? If I was being a prick, okay sure, be a prick back, but I not once was rude to him. So I left, without signing paperwork or taking the plates off. I had to come back, 2 days later with my uncle just in case I couldn't take the plates off myself, and the ever so get rude man was working again. He rudely asked if I had something to take the plates off, and I decided to be rude back that I did because I had enough of being nice when he was being rude, opened the yard with such distaste, I got my plates, went to him to say I need to sign paperwork to release the car and he cut me off and said I don't need to sign paperwork since I toom the plates. How hard is it to be a human being, and treat people the way one wants to be treated?? I hope I never have the "luck" of ever having to come back here, ever again.
