I ordered on the phone at 6:00pm, I ordered an oxtail dinner that comes with two sides. I only got one side. I ordered the chicken Alfredo, I was informed on the phone that it was available. She even double checked and had me on hold on the phone.I came to pick up my order and said it wasn't available. No, sorry, no compensation, just a stare. I settled on a chicken bowl. The bowl was ok, not worth the $13. I DON'T recommend to eat here.

Small plate with Mac and yams upgrade (+ $2)

It was a little hard to find the spot because of all the competing restaurant signs but when I called for clarification the guy who answered was super understanding and helped me out. Food was great. I don't normally like yams but GODDAMN they were GOOD. I should have gotten rice on the side but I'll be back.

I don't think I've ever had a better one. The 1/2 order of jambalaya also excellent and properly spiced. My grandson enjoyed his chicken strips and fries. I also liked my Cajun fries and Jamaican cola. I look forward to returning here again soon to try some other tasty options on their menu, including red beans and rice, collard greens, oxtail, etc. The owners were very nice and the food was ready for pickup right on time. I will be back.

I just happened to find this gem when I googled seafood near me and I'm glad I did. It is a to go…read morerestaurant but it does provide a few tables/chairs if you would like to eat your food there. They will plate it for you instead of wrapping it up to go. The young lady who took my order was very patient with me and made great recommendations. I truly appreciate it. I ordered the Cajun jambalaya, 1lb seafood boil, and buffalo wings. Let's not forget the rum cake. I asked for the jambalaya to be very spicy and they definitely made it spicer and I truly appreciate it. The flavor was on point. No complaints at all. My only issue with the jambalaya is the shrimp and sausage was hot, straight off the grill, but the rice was luke warm. Definitely needed to be warmed up a little more. My daughter said she liked the butter sauce that was served with the seafood boil. She devoured the rum cake. It was moist. I enjoyed it as well but it was more on the sweeter side to me to be a rum cake. I do understand seafood is expensive so I will say the pricing is on the higher side. If I lived closer I would frequent this place.

The restaurant is so much bigger and livelier and were so excited to see all of their success. Definitely come early to be able to try their brisket and Tony Mac! You wont regret anything you try but those are defnitely our favorites. Oh and the ribs, if you're looking for the incredible smokey juicy flavor look no further. Any of their bbq sauces are great and pair well, but we highly recommend giving their original a go because of the perfect balance of sweet, savory, with a bit of a kick.

Our waitress came quick enough to get our order, it's just that the food took a while. Maybe the side with counter walk-up is quicker. I ended up getting the catfish sandwich with fries and of course tried all the bbq sauces with the fries. The catfish was fried perfectly and the seasoning on the outside was quite tasty. Made for a very good sandwich. The fries were a little soggier/more oily than I would like, but I did use them to try the sauces. None of them were overly spicy, just a good flavor. I think my favorite was the Memphis which had a nice smokiness to it. For dessert I did end up ordering the key lime pie and was very happy with it. Tangy and refreshing! I somehow managed to save some for the next day and it was just as good. Overall, the food was good and the staff was friendly, it just took a while to get the food. There was a lot of to go business, so that's maybe the best way to order.

We really wanted to love Mama Jerk N Tings, but the food really missed the mark…read more I was excited about this place because I love supporting small businesses, but unfortunately with the higher prices and poor quality food we were served, we won't be back. We went around 5 PM, there was one other person waiting when we walked in. First let me say, the cashier was amazing. She was beyond pleasant and professional, and truly the only good part of the visit. But the vibe got super uncomfortable when the cook came out of the kitchen and snapped at her right in front of us over a custom order. Plus, it took almost 30 minutes to get our food, which makes no sense because the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. As for the food, most of it lacked authentic flavor. To be honest, I've had better Jamaican food from the grocery store. The Good: The jerk sauce itself was actually good. The Sides: The gungo rice and peas were unremarkable (parboiled rice, no flavor). The cabbage wasn't fresh at all and used what tasted like canned carrots and corn. The plantains were dry and tasted like they were old and/or microwaved. The Chicken: The jerk chicken was incredibly dry and lacked flavor. It was almost crumbly in consistency. We also tried the jerk egg rolls which had bones in them and the jerk nachos which tasted like cheap nachos you'd get at a high school football game. Nothing exciting. The restaurant itself is a really nice space--honestly, I hope they find other good uses for it--but the dining experience we had left us very disappointed.

Music is pretty loud in this small space. We decided on the 3 entrees for 69.00 with a glass of wine. We chose the pepper steak, smothered chicken, orange chicken, catfish and spaghetti, and the bbq catfish. Overall the food was ok., The bbq fish was a little to fishy and the smothered chicken was heavily salted. The star of our 6 dishes was the fried piece of catfish. The food came out quickly but nothing was piping hot. The server was OK as well, he did exactly what we expect of a server nothing more nothing less. I will say next time I would take the drive to the West side location, to me the food choices are better as well as the service.
