"Sure" "click" I always am greeted by a pretty friendly voice. They are fast convenient and honest. They sent me the wrong thing by accident and then made sure they sent the right thing to me by checking with me and mailed out the correct part the next day along with an apology. In 2016 purchased 2007 Camry for daughter from a large local Toyota dealer. It didn't last long, see my review from 11/16/2016. This was the second used car in row that was a POS and needed engine too soon after purchase. Not feasible at time to buy new it was either another used car crap-shoot or buy used engine. Since I tried both small and large dealerships with same results decided to try luck at buying an engine. Our mechanic found engine online at Carney & Sons with around 50K mileage for very reasonable price. The delivery charge to Des Moines was also quite reasonable and even delivered the short week of Thanksgiving. The reason waited so long to review is that wanted to ensure engine lived up to expectation. No longer have Camry but the engine worked flawlessly and provided great piece of mind. I've always been treated very fairly. The one time they made a mistake, I did not realize a mistake had been made. They contacted me, telling me that they were putting a check in the mail. Had they not said anything, I never would have realized they owed me anything. They do get busy sometimes & I have to wait. That is the price for dealing with an honest junk yard. This is partly true, I was put on hold and transfered 3 times and waited approximately 20 minutes. I explained that it was a plastic tank, all US market Jetta's have a plastic tank. This is when I was talked down to and transferred and basically all employees tried to wash their hands of the issue. Also, it is not hard to hook up a small battery to an electric component to ensure product quality. Who knows how long these cars of been sitting in inventory. Testing that the component works and then sits for years on end isn't a reasonable explanation or response. If I wanted to gamble with my money I would go to a casino. It's poor customer service and trying to absolve your business of wrongdoing instead of improving you business practices that gets your business crummy reviews. If you won't stand by and test your products you sell, then your business is just another of many duping consumers. read more

if you want the most honest and trustworthy go to carneys. they have the most reliable parts and counter employees especially tom and mike. i have a 2001 infiniti that needed a transmission replaced and their price was very fair and all their parts and labor. my car seem to have problems with different transmission and because of their honesty they have replaced the tranny 3 times including having one with very low mileage shipped to them and they are still working on it. i am sure they have lost a huge amount of money just the labor plus paying for a transmission from out of state. seriously if you need anything call them first i have bought through them for 40 yrs and only 1 time a alternator failed and without any questions they handed me one they tested. carneys and sons are awesome and their reputation alone is great but i normally never take time to do comments but tom earned this one. ken hennick read more
