From planning to even setup, Jerry gave great suggestions and was always a phone call away to help me through the process. Jerry, MC Andre, DJ Jason and the entire crew did a fantastic job at my son's Bar Mitzvah! My #1 concern months back was keeping the kids off of their phones. The motivators and entire team not only kept 40 kids and 75 adults off of their devices but had adults and kids of ALL ages dancing, playing games, involved. I can't count how many people said to me during the celebration and notes things like "how did you learn about Laskin?" "Your entertainment was the best we've seen and did a great job!" I will be booking them for my younger son's Bar Mitzvah as soon as we get the date. :) In addition to the day of, Jerry was super responsive, flexible, friendly and detailed oriented during the whole process. I sent emails basically daily for a year asking so many "new to this" questions. Jerry was so patient, responsive and kind! My son had been to a couple of bar mitzvahs with Jerry's entertainers, so he specifically asked for them and for Andre to MC. Jerry was easy to work and plan with and the party was incredible! Andrew was fantastic, the DJ and dance motivators were great, and the kids were dancing all night long. The games were fun and my son felt celebrated in style. Jerry also handled the photo booth which was terrific and as we had a Star Wars theme they even brought their own lightsaber from home for the photos! Our family has used Jerry's entertainers for three different family events. The first was in Westchester, New York. It was so amazing that we asked Gabriel (the MC) to come out to Central New Jersey for my son's bar mitzvah. And that went so well that my brother asked Gabriel and the DJ's and motivators to travel to Springfield Pennsylvania for my nephew's bar mitzvah. Jerry will work with you on pricing, and has everything organized so you just have to say "I want this, I don't want that." There is no hard sell - I wanted to provide my own glow sticks and things like that, so I did; my brother didn't want the hassle, so Jerry provided them for his event. Jerry is a great DJ, a true professional, and a genuinely great human being. In short, all my guests were very happy with the music (they personally told me), everyone was dancing, and I felt rest assured throughout the wedding that Jerry had everything under control. His MC too was great in keeping the party flowing and entertained. Before the wedding, he was extremely helpful in getting everything prepared. Always available to speak, very patient to understand my needs, etc. Jerry seems to know all musical genres fluently, and understands the needs of various cultures / religious needs as well, which was very helpful. Goes without saying that he was punctual, prepared, and thought of all the details in advance (since we had multiple locations in our venue, indoors and outdoors, to play music). He was extremely accommodating to our various guests who wanted to sing songs or make requests. Just a really nice guy, super calm, and extremely experienced. I cannot recommend Jerry enough!! The afterparty he threw at our wedding was probably the highlight of our night. He kept our guests dancing the ENTIRE night! Even my friends who usually go home on the earlier side stayed until 2am because it was just so much fun. Before the party Jerry asked me to send a small playlist to show an example of the type of music we liked, and based off of that he created the most INCREDIBLE playlist. Jerry created a fantastic celebration for our daughter's bat mitzvah! There are not enough superlatives to express how wonderful the party was; it was more amazing than we even thought it could be! Many of the kids said it was the best party they'd ever been to, and our daughter told us it was the best night of her life. She said, "It was like a dream." Every element was perfect, from the physical (the impressive DJ area set-up, the lights and room décor and lounge area, the photo-booth) to the personal (Jerry and Bella and their wonderful and warm crew, including Gabriel and the dancers and the behind-the-scenes guys). Gabriel and the dancers were beyond great with the kids; they connected so naturally and made everyone feel comfortable and celebratory. (I was SHOCKED to see a line of 7th grade boys up dancing on the stage!!) Even beyond the tween crowd, all the adults, from our older kids and the cousins in their twenties, to the grandmas, had an amazing time. We also noticed and appreciated how closely Jerry and his team worked with the caterer and the building staff to make sure the evening ran seamlessly. We just had our daughters bat mitzvah and it was truly a fabulous evening. Jerry Laskin and his entire team are really top notch. I am incredibly critical and I was very concerned about hiring a fantastic yet also appropriate DJ that would create an elegant yet fun evening. I also had a very tight timeline and I was in communication with Jerry on numerous occasions before the bat mitzvah about how to fit it all in. I could not believe how quick he was to always respond to my texts, emails or calls before the event. He was always so incredibly nice and professional and willing to give great advice and wanting to help to make the party a success. I also appreciated that he does not upsell clients. His entire staff was timely, responsible, kind and so truly professional and were able to switch the music and feel the crowd and make the evening such a memorable night. Everyone had an amazing night and I loved the entire team. Jerry Laskin is not just a DJ but can handle a lot of the other things that go along with the party such as other entertainment (renting of other games/sports, entertainment) green screen, photography, etc. and it was all amazing. I am so happy that I trusted my instincts when I spoke with Jerry originally. They created such an elegant yet phenomenal fun "party" and evening and it was an incredibly big bonus dealing with someone who is honorable, so honest and kind as well. We just had our daughter's Bat Mitzvah celebration this June. Jerry and his crew made the day AMAZING! The music was a fantastic blend of our requests and songs appropriate for every step of the celebration. The kids had NO time to be bored or to even sit down much! The adults were able to to dance to today's Latin and Pop hits, and Jerry even sprinkled in some oldie standards to get every generation on their feet. We had our daughter's Sweet Sixteen party yesterday at Vivo Restaurant in Bayside, Queens. We met with Jerry and Bella to discuss pricing options a few months before our event. They're very easy to talk to - - no stress. Jerry Laskin's team was terrific! They arrived at the venue at the time we'd agreed. We had a Timeline for the event, but as it sometimes happens some things got changed on the spot, and Jerry's team followed directions perfectly. The M.C., Greg, was great! very energetic and he helped us to keep the party alive! he's a great motivator! Bella took beautiful pictures; we printed quite a few of them at the venue and everyone loved them, excellent quality and sharp! We originally had just one song to play for the entire candle lighting ceremony, but Jerry suggested we pick songs for each individual candle - - so glad we did that! It took us some time to select the individual songs, but everyone enjoyed that detail tremendously because the songs made them feel special! What else can I say...these guys are pros!
