Excellent staff, great products! It's so fun to go in here even if I don't need anything. They offer classes too if you're interested. From cool Pens to easels to craft boxes, it's an awesome place to get gifts. I can't believe this is my first time going here and I literally drive by here often. Brought my niece here and ended up getting a terrarium and some 50% off paper! They have good sales and a rewards card too. There's a lot of parking spaces in the back. Will be back often for gifts!

    Same brush, many techniques.

Frantically I called Wednesday morning when the needed paint brushes I ordered elsewhere had not arrived. Thankfully Jerry's had the 84 I needed on hand, and AJ had them ready for pickup. When I pleaded for an art discount of any sort, AJ also let me know he would be charging a bulk rate--much appreciated. As for the brushes, they were exquisite. My students created many lines and textures! For quick customer service and quality supplies (and is the only place for Elmer's Papier-mâché Paste that I know of around Hartford), Jerry's Artarama it is.

Great prices and selection. Go for the abundant art supplies, do not go for the framing. Location: At the corner of New Britain Ave/ Newington Rd. There are 2 small parking lots behind the building with ample space. Ambience: Bright, organized, well-stocked. The main room has art supplies, and the side room has frames and framing service. The main checkout register is at the back of the store. Service: Friendly and helpful, except for the framing person... she was rather haughty and gave off the feeling like she didn't want to help the customer. Products: The paper selection was a little lack-luster, but otherwise there was a good assortment of art supplies. Paints, brushes, pens, color pencils, etc. No scrapbooking or stamping stuff that I could find. Price: I went during their Spring Sale and the prices were excellent. $8 brushes were only $1-something, and a Strathmore sketchbook was $3 on sale.

Need a mat? Many many many options for my aspiring artist wife...

Went with my wife twice in the past few weeks as she set up for an art show, this store had a wide and great selection of mats, different sizes and colors. She was very happy! I also saw they had a huge supply of other materials, my wife was able to get her gel pens, other art supplies and knows she will be back! Best part, as we checked out this weekend after our second visit, the cashier mentioned " welcome back" It was nice to be recognized from the prior week. Nice touch!

    Excellent!

Jerry's has been our family's go-to for many years. Especially for those last minute, usually before closing time, for school projects and missing items for the final touch. My discerning artists found everything needed and then some. Prices, not discounted, but watch for sale items even if you don't need them in the present. The staff are always helpful and even if you're browsing don't be afraid to ask. Everyone on staff are budding Picasso's. When I talk price, their Custom Framing comes at a premium, but satisfaction guaranteed. We've never been disappointed. Mama Barbie has been a good girl this year and she will be receiving a Custom Framed Whimsical Photo Art scene in NYC. Photo attached, Whimsical. No?

What a great art store! They had exactly what I needed. Went in for a sketch pad and some pens and even got a good deal on the sketch pad. Overall a great experience!

cross brace connector broken into 2 pieces--unusable

I ordered the MUSEO ALU-Bar aluminum stretcher bars, and 35% of my $756.88 order was damaged. Jerry's only refunded 10% of my order. Because I was on a tight deadline to finish the paintings for my client, I had to repair 2 of the damaged stretcher bars and use them anyway. One of the cross brace supports with the accompanying cross brace connectors was damaged beyond repair and I could not use it. Apparently, it is Jerry's policy to not replace damaged items if the buyer is able to repair and use them. They refunded me for the unusable cross brace support but not for the 3 other damaged stretcher bars. The customer service representative I talked to was slow to respond and did not communicate clearly. I have been a loyal Jerry's customer for 11 years, but I will not be ordering from them again. I am going to ask my local art store to order the MUSEO Aluminum stretcher bars for me, because I can't trust Jerry's Artarama to ship them without damaging them.

When I commissioned my super talented artsy friend to create a masterpiece for my new place we needed art supplies to make the vision a reality. She knew exactly were to go, Jerry's. They had ALL. OF. THE. THINGS. Really! ALL of them! I was mesmerized by their vast selection of brushes and paints and canvas and ... EVERYTHING. As one who is not artistically inclined (not saying much, I know, but my artsy friend co-signs) I was impressed. We were easily able to get what we need for the painting, so many unique colors. Be warned though the prices here are slightly on the higher end. This coming from a gal that is used to going to Michael's or JoAnn's during 50% off sales with a 20% coupon in hand, so take that into consideration.

Note that Google maps directions take you to the front, and parking/entrance is very confusing on your first visit if your navigation system dumps you at the front door.

I wish Burlington next door would learn a few tips from them on how to keep a store clean and organized. They have clothing items for men, women and kids. Although the women's clothing section is lacking a bit. There are items for pets, toys and shoes. As well as a nice variety of items for the home. They even have some bicycles for sale. The store isn't big, but there's plenty of great merchandise. Parking is easy, since it's at a shopping center. The line to check out is typically quick. I'll usually walk away with a great bargain.

This happened not long ago, that the woman working in the jewelry and accessory dept. was absolutely hacking so loudly it was startling. She coughed for a really long time and was not covering her mouth. I immediately left that area and just went to check out. I very quietly told the woman ringing me up that the coughing employee sounds really sick. The woman started almost berating me in a loud tone, that the employee has asthma and she would never come in to work sick. Ok, but how would anyone know that she's not sick and actually has asthma? Also, she's still spreading germs by coughing without covering her mouth. The cashier kept going on and on aggressively that I just walked out. I appreciate people sticking up for their team members, but this is a completely different circumstance.
