I was surprised to see that I never reviewed the second one, so here we go... Farmington/New Britain is definitely larger than West Hartford and decidedly neater as well. We found the store well stocked today with no clutter or mess in the aisles. We were looking to buy some children's socks and underwear today for a convention activity where our attendees will be building 100 school supply and 50 socks and underwear kits for Boston children in need. Target had some fantastic prices today, and we picked up a six pack of boys crew socks for just $10. I've got no complaints at all about Target. Parking is plentiful, the store's selection is very wide, and it was a pleasant experience to pick up what we needed at a very good price. read more

I tried calling this store last night at 8pm multiple times and this morning at 9am multiple time. no answer at all. I just need a new phone which on the website it said there were 4 left in stock. when I got there no one was helpful and there was no manager around to help either. the employees tried to call other targets around to see if they had the phone I was looking for but again no one answered. read more

didn't have a lot of stuff and waited way too long to check out and for a Starbucks. Starbucks only had one employee working, which is not right. there should be at least four employees to make the line for Starbucks quicker. And for the checking out line, either make more cash registers or have all of them be open because there were at least five of them that "weren't working." read more

This is a nice, clean store. Easy access from the Berlin Turnpike, which is a plus. It isn't the closest Target to us, but it seems bigger and is definitely cleaner and has more items in stock than the Manchester/South Windsor location. The staff is helpful and they seem to spend a lot of time stocking the shelves and keeping items organized. They also keep the self-checkout stations organized and in proper working order, and I never have to wait too long to check out. Today I left employ handed, but it's my fault for not shopping for soccer socks for our daughter until the day before the season begins!!! You can shop in store, shop online for curbside or in-store pickup, or have items shipped to you. Lots of options to suit your needs and shopping preferences. I save a lot of money with the Target Circle offers, just have to remember to save the offers to your account and scan your barcode at checkout. read more

COVID-19 era: Nestled exactly between Wal-Mart and Macy's, neither the sparkling nor ratty, this Target has all of the sundries and some of the goodies, a mini-mall under one roof. So many things that weren't on the grocery list end up in my cart...and speaking of groceries, they have plenty dry goods, some fresh produce, and zero beer. You may or may not be saving yourself a trip, but you'll be entertained by distractions. Arts and crafts is a fun new section, Magnolia is the highlight of the decor department, women's accessories feels like it's own boutique, and the toy department is probably your best bet for that area (RIP US Toys R Us stores). There are a few planogram holes from time to time, but it's always a delight seeing new seasonal displays. Beware and/or enjoy. And wear your mask. And maybe buy a couple more while you're here. read more

I've always loved target... so many types of things here. I can snag clothes , food , room essentials, many things ! Its definitely got better with drive up during covid. Now for me, although the feature is awesome, they seem to be learning , they try and put everything into the fewest bags and end up smushing some of my items. I love getting the pastas , sauces , chips ,cookies, tortilla wraps, seltzer and that type of stuff here with a drive up order. Its very easy. Use the app. Select drive up. They alert u when it's ready to be picked up. When u leave on your way u tell them , when you arrive u again use the app to tell them. There are a few designated spots for this Drive up feature. With big bulky runs ie baby diapers and wipes or toilet paper and paper towels...u can't go wrong here ! read more

I love target and definitely prefer it over Walmart any day . I usually never puck any groceries but my last visit I was surprised how much stuff they offered to support a low carb diet. I also visited the optical in the store for my annual eye exam and it was easy peachy. It was recently renovated so everything is pretty nice and shiny. I know it's Target.. they are a huge mega store where you can buy almost anything. But they get 5 stars for the amazing customer service I have received over the last few weeks. I bought a TV online and had it shipped tot he store but it somehow got lost in the process. The associates I spoke to on the phone and in person along with the manager were all very concerned and helpful. After searching the store and not being able to find the TV they immediately tried to come up with another solution that would get me my TV. Customer service is so important and not something people expect from these big companies but this store delivered. They truly cared about my issue and bent over backwards to make things right. read more

I was there at around 3pm today. Now, when I usually come to this Starbucks location, I am greeted with attitude, and my order is always made incorrectly. It's sad when the barista is asking you how to make your drink. Well today, Stephanie was working, and I have to say that I probably received the best customer service ever at this location! The staff is great and the stores conveniently located, but expect to be let down if you come here for anything specific, because chances are it won't be in stock. I've been coming here for eight months and this has been the case almost the whole time. I made excuses for them for months because of all the significant weather events in our country, I just assumed things were being redirected where they were needed most. Come to find out that they just can't get their supply chain in order. The shame is they're remodeling the store as well, I bet after it's remodeled they'll figure it out and it'll look like the remodel was the reason. When in fact, the store could've performed much better if they actually kept food and merchandise on the shelves. Something isn't working right, and my guess is it's at their headquarters, not in the store. Meanwhile, they are training me well to find shopping alternatives. read more

This Target is abysmal at best. I haven't shopped here in years since I moved out of the area, but I used to go here all the time and I don't remember it ever being this bad. I should have turned around as soon as I got to the door and saw the two trash cans completely full, overflowing with garbage all on the ground and strategically balanced on top. Walked through the doors and was greeted by more trash on the floor of the foyer, and the area beyond that where the carts are. After walking in I went over to the cosmetics to look around thinking I might treat myself to something since this is my birthday week. Unfortunately, pretty much everything was out of stock and what was left was carelessly thrown around and unorganized making it impossible. Oh well. I figured I would just stick to the few things I was actually there for. Headed to the back to the paper towels, garbage bags, etc. Nothing in this area had any prices on it, most of the packages were torn open and one pack of paper towels actually looked like it had mold inside it! Almost like it had gotten wet and they just threw it back up there to sell. DISGUSTING. Again, this area and the surrounding ones were completely unorganized and in disarray. Continued to wander to electronics/ books, etc and just became more and more disgusted by the overall condition of this place. It looks like it hasn't had a good cleaning in about a decade. I wanted to spend some time wandering around as one does in Target, but that idea was quickly canned. I just grabbed my non moldy, sealed packaged paper towels and trash bags. The self checkout had a huge line since only two of them were working. But I waited since I had already come this far. Just paid for my stuff and parted the river of trash on my way out. Avoid this location at all costs. Drive the extra few minutes to the Berlin turnpike or Southington. read more

After trying to converse with a cashier when checking out she ignored me until the end of the check out where she told me, and I quote "I hope you die"...... I don't know if she had a bad day or anything, but I'm the grumpiest cashier I know, until I shopped here. read more

I keep giving this Target another shot because it is the most convenient location for me but it is the worst Target I've ever been to. Literally every time I go, I am disappointed because I can't find numerous items on my list even though I do my research ahead of time and the website/app says the product(s) are in stock. I can't get over this target. You walk down the aisles and the shelves are empty. It's mind blowing. they remodeled it and you'd think they'd want to be more successful. Just now there were pallets of things to be put on the shelves all over the store but not on the shelves and no one unloading them. The clothes and shoes are all a mess - off hangers, on the floor, etc. The layout makes no sense and you can't go from the back of the store to the front in a straight line. This is one of the worst Target stores I've ever been to. I was very disappointed. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because the woman Jennifer who was working at the check out was super kind and very helpful. Almost every person who worked there I passed looked miserable. It made we want to leave the store as soon as possible. The aisles were pretty messy. Especially the $1.00 items aisle. Which I get how that aisle could be messy because I am sure it gets a lot of traffic but this looked like it hadn't been organized in weeks. The produce was tough. I bought some salad mix because I was desperate, knowing I would have to throw some out. There wasn't a lot that didn't have a slimy browning in them. Although I do have to say that their yogurt selection had really good dates. The clothing area was very small and didn't have a lot to choose from. I love Target clothing. There are always cute clothes and great deals. Between the way this area was set up and the woman working in the clothing area was shooting everyone a scowl I just walked by that section. So I guess this was a good shopping experience for my wallet because I only got things I needed because I wanted to get out as soon as possible, lol. But on a positive note Jennifer at check was awesome and she deserve a raise in my opinion! :) read more

I used the self checkout registers today I had one coupon. The register told me to scan the coupon and then insert it into the slot. After I did that a message popped up and said store approval needed so the girl working the self checkout registers had to come over and approve the coupon and she asked me where it was and I told her I put it in the slot like the machine told me too. She told me in a snotty way "next time I need to SEE the coupon before I approve it." The store manager needs to train their employees to be a little nicer. The coupon was $1.00. Never have this issue at Stop and Shop. There needs to be a better system in place so the employees don't have to approve every single coupon a customer has in self checkout. read more

I was shopping at the Target in New Britain, CT recently and I ran into some issues. First of all, some of aisles were very messy and lacking organization. Secondly, when I checked out at the self service machine, the price on my purchase rang up wrong and an associate had to help me. Not only that but my Red Card would not work so I didn't get the 5% discount. What has happened to Target? They are simply not run as well as in years past. Shape up Target. read more

This use to be my favorite store to shop at !! I loved Target ..... I stayed away during the remodel because I couldn't find a thing ..... they kept moving everything to temporary locations. Then I received a $5 coupon in the mail that said the remodel was complete and to come back. Oh my goodness .... they destroyed my favorite store .... a lot less merchandise then before ... very odd layout ... the men's clothing area was jammed into a much smaller area and is a mess..... the store has empty shelves in many areas.... and it's so messy .... what a shame you spent all that money on a remodel and it looks so so bad ..... a depressing place to shop now .... Is it just me, but it seems like there's only like two checkout lines available at any given time? I blame management. They probably don't want to count another cash drawer at the end of the business day. As far as prices, you can get great deals if you plan your shopping trip. Grocery prices are not good enough to stop shopping at the regular supermarkets. One good thing about Target is that you can print their store coupons from their website, which you can stack those coupons with a manufactory's coupon on the same item. Some memorable deals I've gotten include free Glade spray, $4 bag of Starbucks Coffee, and a $3 Merona brand tee shirt. Most of the time, you can better prices on health and beauty at CVS. As far home decor, go to Home Goods and/or any of the TJX owned stores. Nonetheless, I'll still be shopping at Target because it is convenient or when I am lazy, which is too often. read more

This Target is out of the way for me (I live closer to the Southington one) but I had to run to Michael's so I decided to kill two birds with one stone and stop at Target on my way back home. This Target is pretty nice! It has WAY more clothing options than the Southington one but no dollar bins. (Unless I missed them). Those are handy for gifts/toys for little ones. Anyway, I made my way to the fitting room and the person who "helped" me was snippy and rude. Even if I had liked any of the clothes I tried on, I wouldn't have bought any just because of this person. My checkout was flawless (I use coupons and can sometimes get flack from cashiers). But overall, I gave it 4 stars because it was big, clean and had plenty of clothes! read more

Pretty good Target. I think sometime back it used to be a Super Target because of how huge it is, as compared to other Target stores in central CT (Southington, Newington, Meriden, Manchester). The two things I like about this Target as compared to the other ones is that the end aisles full of clearance items is more prevalent here, and the checkout lanes are single file, not two lanes per row as the other Targets. As with a huge Target, most of the time I come here I have to ask where items are located. I always have to mentally remember that trash bags and plastics are near health and beauty items, not near cleaning items. Not sure about anyone else, but I find that odd. Sure you pay a bit more at a Target than at a Walmart, but that's where weekly ads come in. If you search my other review for Southington Target, I included tips there on how to "coupon" at Target. I love Target, especially this store. I use target as one of my pharmacies and the staff is discreet, professional and nice. Clothing - the racks can get a bit messy but I love their clothing selection and they always have cute things for every season! I buy a lot of paper towels and other home necessities here. Ridiculous... Simply ridiculous... Two years in a row, the state of Connecticut has been faced with a tropical weather emergency, and two years in a row, Target has fallen EMBARASSINGLY short. As if they hadn't learned a single thing from last year's emergency... As if they didn't know for the past WEEK that Hurricane Sandy was coming. Target is one of the biggest retailers in the world, I think a week is more than sufficient time to get your supply chain in freakin' order... Instead, utter ignorance. There was absolutely NOTHING here today. NO water, NO bread. Canned goods significantly depleted, battery section COMPLETELY EMPTY... Think I'm complaining about something that's my own fault? Think I didn't shop early enough? Think again. A full two hours later, I showed up at Stop&Shop on Fenn Road in Newington. They had tons of bread, plenty of canned goods, and still a decent amount of water and batteries! Rite Aid had plenty of water too, for that matter. It is now abundantly clear that Target has absolutely no idea what they're doing. Not only is their staff incredibly inept, their management has now proven that they can't even serve the community in the time of greatest need. For shame, Target, for shame. read more

I came to this store a few days before Christmas and was really disappointed by the lack of selection of merchandise. I figured everything was just messy and picked over because of the holidays, but I went to a different Target location a couple of days later (in Southington) and it was nice and neat with little mess, and good selection of products. That being said, I'm still a fan of this location because of its proximity to Westfarms Mall, which makes it a convenient stop, and I also need to give a shoutout to the girl who was working electronics because she was super helpful. So I would still recommend this location if you're going to be shopping near Westfarms anyway. Just know that they don't seem to have the selection (or cleanliness) of some other stores, particularly Southington which is my fav location :) read more
