I got a great deal on a lace dress and a very elegant beige jacket. You can feel the quality of the fabric, the fine stitching and lining, all that stuff makes a difference. It's got a lot of well-known stores, including high end ones like Louis Viotton, Tory Burch, Coach etc. Don't get me started on the Pandora store, that ALWAYS has a line outside. Plus it's got good restaurants like Sally's pizza which I wrote a separate review about and definitely worth a visit. This is a well kept mall, clean and enjoyable to visit. Its location is ideal being that you're only about 5 minutes away from a nearby plaza that is also chock full of wonderful stores like Trader Joes, five below, even an REI camping store. It's kinda like an LL bean, but what I love most is that there's a Doro restaurant nearby and that's usually where we always end up after shopping. I also wrote a separate review on Doro, and it is definitely worth the 5 minute drive from the mall. As far as malls go, this is one that has something for everyone.

We'll be attending a Charity Banquet and Ball in a few weeks, and she was looking for a dress to wear. She found a beauty - a nice red Calvin Klein dress stickered at $134 but tagged at just $49.97. That's 62% off. Customer service was great. When we went to the register to pay, we saw a minor stitching defect at the back of the dress. Our cashier arranged for a runner to head back to the rack with us and we found the exact same dress in perfect condition. No complaints at all.

My mom is a major lover of nostalgia and so I booked a photo shoot at JCPenney for her birthday. We threw on our matching pajamas and headed over to Westfarms for our 2:30 appointment. The photographers were very delayed so unfortunately we weren't seen until 4:15. Our photographer was so nice and really helped bring my mom out of her shell. The entire shoot took about 15 minutes and we were able to select as many printed frames as we wanted. Thankfully, they were having a sale because the original price for the photos and shoot came out to about $210. After the discount code was applied the total was only $40. This was a cute way to celebrate my mom and throw it back to all of the photo shoot she used to make me do when I was young.

We found the store well stocked today with no clutter or mess in the aisles. We were looking to buy some children's socks and underwear today for a convention activity where our attendees will be building 100 school supply and 50 socks and underwear kits for Boston children in need. Target had some fantastic prices today, and we picked up a six pack of boys crew socks for just $10. I've got no complaints at all about Target. Parking is plentiful, the store's selection is very wide, and it was a pleasant experience to pick up what we needed at a very good price.

Their modest store grew into locations in five states, with 18 in their home state of Connecticut. But in mid June, it was announced that the entire chain is closing. We visited the Westfarms Mall location today, and saw a big colorful selection of sneakers, athletic clothes, hip hop fashion, streetwear, etc. I saw plenty of big time brands like Nike, Adidas, Jordan, Fila, Timberland, Puma, New Era, Champion, Polo, Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger, The North Face, and Kappa. Their selection of team licensed/team logo'd ball caps was amazing- there were easily a hundred different hats on the main wall behind the sales counter. I had a nice chat with a guy meticulously shopping for the "right" Yankee hat he wanted to wear for a trip to NYC. There are plenty of sales going on now, and we found a nice one- some beautiful color T shirts. They were V -Necks and Crew Necks priced at $6.99 and $7.49. We bought four of them for a shade over $30. Bottom line? Hustle over there and check them out before they close their doors forever.

The items are the same quality as the regular store, but at a much lower cost. A brand new J. Crew Factory store just opened last week in West Hartford's Corbin's Corner. The store has a great layout, and plenty of great summer pieces, for men, women and children. Most of the store is currently on sale for 40 - 50% off. Since this store is brand new, the exterior is still under construction, but It's what's on the inside that matters. The sales associates are friendly and answered all my questions. I've already been here twice since they opened last week. I'm glad to have a factory store nearby now. It's a good idea to come in frequently as new stock comes in often.

Not only was the store clean and organized, but we were able to find so many great items for both my husband and our 3 year old son. I was elated to find several matching shirts for them to wear over the summer, which I look forward to seeing them in together. Prices were great and having the teacher discount on top of it was excellent. When we went up to the register, the young lady behind the counter (Lauren A) was patient as we troubleshooted which email my J.Crew account was linked to. We ended up sharing some small talk about my husband and I being educators and she was very sweet in engaging about our jobs, summer break, and which grade levels we worked with. She was so positive and genuinely happy/helpful. This wasn't exclusive just to us either. We overheard similar interactions with her and other customers in line before we approached. She was just a kind person, who seemed dedicated to her job. We will definitely return!
