The lady was talking about me in Spanish thinking I didn't speak Spanish. The guy clearly didn't know the difference between a taper and a fade and I said no taper I want a fade. He said ok and continued to do a taper. He finished in 10 minutes needless to say how it came out. I called him out on the taper and he said I didn't say that and that he still had the audacity to say " you should've started with that." And I said I did tell you and he smirked and chuckled saying no you didn't. Then the lady comes in saying that why is he redoing my hair that if it were her she would've been like "sorry but you asked for that " and I was about to say well if you would've left it like that I wouldn't have payed, but was scared the guy was going to be petty and ruin my hair more than it he already did. I told him 2 inches off the top and he cut me with the machine on top. Then he proceeded to cut more!! with scissors. I told him that's too short and he said that's what you asked for. And I said u already cut a lot with the machine. And he tried to gaslight me saying "I never touch the top with the machine" I clearly saw him cutting it with the comb and machine!! Needless to say I won't be coming back here. 1. because of the customer service 2. because they ruined my hair and 3. Because the lady got mad I didn't tip!! Like whattt. If I could give this zero stars I would. read more

Don't waste your time....been there 3 times, always at 10 am....2 out of three times, door was locked and had to wait because she was out walking the dog, which by the way roams freely around the shop. Cute. read more

Best place to get your haircut in San Clem. Gives great military haircuts. Very consistent with their haircuts. Jerry is the man. Learns and remembers your name. I brought my kids in one time for a haircut, and now every time I come, he sends me home with lollipops for them. Great people, great haircut, convenient location. read more

I have been getting my hair from Jerry for close 30 years, he never fails to deliver! This small business owner, works 7 days a week, all freaking day, open to close on his feet for the 30 years I have known him. I'm sure he didn't start that work ethic when I met him. Do yourself a favor and stop in, meet Jerry and get a haircut from the hardest working person you will ever meet. Jerry thank you the cut, conservation, friendship for those 20 minutes I spent in your chair every 6 weeks for the last 30 years. read more

The barber got annoyed because he made one side a medium reg and one side a high reg and I had the audacity to ask him to fix it. This may have been the result of the barber pausing my haircut to move his vehicle, or while he watched TV. I will not be going back to the barber, for the same price I can get a quality haircut from one of the many other shops in San Clemente. read more

I recent just moved to the San Clemente area about 3 months ago and I've been looking for a good Barber to go to... for the last year I've had terrible luck... trying different places from sports clips to great clips and each time my hair looked terrible... and I'm not to picky with my hair to begin with... but if I think it's bad, then that usually means I need to wear a hat... anyways, I walked right in and Martha made me sit right down and feel like I've been there for years.. I told her what I was kinda looking for and she understood right away! She went right to work and just after a couple clips of her magical scissors... my hair was already looking better!... she did an awesome job and it looks like I found my new barber seriously excited to go back in a couple months! I have been going to Jerry's for the past two years. Jerry's is a great spot to get a military haircut, I recommend to all service members in the area. All three barbers are awesome and very genuine. Jerry is a great guy who will remember you by name after you've come in just once. This place is as good as it gets, great service, great location and awesome employees. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! My first time there and lady cut my hair. It was a really horrible cut! I asked for a middle fade but she gave me a really bad high fade! I asked a inch off the top and she end up cutting my curly hair off! I rather go to LA to get a cut! read more

This place is awesome! Went in today for about my fourth time since moving in the area and won't go to another barber shop. Jerry the owner and the other two employees that work here are the best! You can tell they genuinely care for their customer. Best fades and barber shop in San Clemente hands down! Thank you guys, you guys rock!! Cruise in here you will not be dissapointed.!! read more

The old fashioned men's barbershop! They give regular haircuts with clippers and scissors in a very basic little shop. No amenities, no fancy chairs or massages or nails, just haircuts. Pleasant and friendly. And the price is what a haircut should cost! Even Supercuts can't compete on price and you don't end up with someone who graduated from barber school last week! Three barbers. All good. But you better not be a snob! Lot's of places to rip you off if you are into being too good for the common man. There are working guys in soiled work clothes, Marines, kids and just about everyone else. Take a seat, wait your turn, talk to the other guys, listen to a loud TV or get on your phone. But you are no different than anyone else at Jerry's. You will leave looking much better than when you went in! read more

My husband and oldest son who is now 7, have been coming here every 3 weeks since he was 3 years old. My toddler is also now a little customer. That should tell you something. :) It has a great family owned feel, and good prices as well. They are also avid baseball fans here, which makes you feel like you are in a local barbershop in Brooklyn, NY or something LOL. Cesar has been their barber for years and now friend. Cesar's mom is my toddler's barber. She is good with kids as well.Overall, great local place for modern/trendy men's cuts. Oh yeah.. And, Go Dodgers! LOL read more

I've been to Jerry's three times. The first time I had a cut with the lady that was pretty good and the second and third time I had a cut with the older gentleman (Jerry?). I will say that the older gentleman was not consistent with his cut. Between the two visits I came out looking completely different. My third visit was much shorter from the second even though I provided him the same instructions beforehand. He skipped the neck shave with the razor completely, didn't even ask if I wanted it. The next visit he shaved my neck with cold shaving cream, but made so many passes with the razor that my neck came out a bit raw and then sprayed on aftershave (not a pleasant experience). Extremely nice gentleman, shop was clean, and prices are more affordable than up north. I noticed that many people coming to this shop wait for the younger man. I will more than likely give Jerry's another shot, but may opt for the lady or the younger gentleman my next time. read more

Jerrys barbershop, is the bomb been coming here for 11 years, never would go anywhere else.... Jerry makes everyone that walks in right at home whether you are there for the first time or the hundredth time. Caesar & Martha are also very good barbers, if you want the cleanest edge up in the OC sit in Caesars Chair and let him got to town, you will not be disappointed.. Jerry barber shop is also a big supporter of the Military!!! read more

Attempted to go here today... Immediately turned off by the service. One person sitting in a chair with one barber working while the other barbers were sitting in the backroom. After a few minutes, the one working barber walked to the back to let the other barbers know there were customers waiting (2 of us). A female barber sticks her head out of the backroom with a mouth full of food, looks at us, and ducks away again. 15 minutes goes by... We leave. Too many good barber shop options in the area to deal with slow/poor service. It's too bad as I was looking forward to trying this place based on prior reviews. read more

If you are going to get a haircut here, avoid getting it cut by JERRY himself. Awful job. My boyfriend went in for a fade and he told JERRY twice and then proceeded to cut his sides in 0. Left him bald. NEVER LET HIM TOUCH YOUR HAIR! read more

I legitimately believe the barber was under the influence of drugs. He was saying strange things repetitively. I will not be coming back. I'm using my wife's account to post this. THE ONLY REAL BARBERSHOP IN SAN CLEMENTE. Caesar actually knows how to do a quality fade. Everyone else in San Clemente only knows how to do military cuts, which is cool, if you want a military cut. the only thing tho is that they dont do appointments so i have to go and wait in line every time which is a bummer read more
