This place was terrible. I don't know how the food is because we never got any. We waited along time to sit, because it was packed. But after we ordered our drinks, it took us to ask a second time to receive them. We ordered food and waited an HOUR while watching tables near come and go. They know how to cook an egg over- medium, i will give them that! Biscuits were made this am and perfect. Coffee was a major disappointment (going across the street for java- this was undrinkable). We spent many a late night at Jerry's drinking coffee before and after driving through and around Fallon as kids. I've always enjoyed this place and 15 years ago it was one of the few places in town that an under age person could go hang out at late night. awesome atmosphere. read more

The food is ok. Good diner food. However, be aware of the check. They usually throw in an extra price at the bottom and it is a tip that is included, so when you go to check out, they ask you for another tip. It is frustrating because they don't want to let you know that they do that. read more

For some reason, none of the restaraunts in Fallon make hashbrowns very well, so make sure you order them "extra crispy" or they will be almost uncooked. Otherwise, Jerry's is a great diner, similar to Denny's with a better atmosphere. The food is reasonably priced and yummy. Stopped on our way to Sand Mountain for some dinner and loved it! Hubby and I shared the chicken fried steak and it was delicious! It came with a side salad that the waitress split for us and a mini load of cornbread, both yummy!! All in all, they were very friendly, it was cheap, and super fast service! I hate writing reviews like this, because I understand the impact it can have on a business. That being said, don't bother. Two of the worst meals I have ever had have come from Jerry's...a meatloaf dinner about 6 montjs ago, and this morning's breakfast. Hash browns were not cooked, toast was cold, pancake was cold, both were slathered with unmelted butter or margarine...its was so unappitizing I never even tried it, the bacon was hardly cooked (certainly not crispy, aa requested), and out of the 30 minutes we were there I spent 25 minites with an empty coffee cup. But possibly tjw worst was that when I complained one waitress arued with me, tellimg I just didn't understand how busy they were.We were dining with a woman who is virtually a shut-in, living in a senior facility. This was her outing of the month, and her meal was inedible. I have eaten at Jeery's probably 25 time (there are limited choices in Fallon). This will be my last. Terrible. read more

We stopped here three times. First time long wait, decent food. We like to support local mom and pop businesses. Second time, longer wait but waitress was great, my sandwich bread was soggy but the people at the table behind us sent back their food at least three times so we just decided to deal with it. Third time was the worst yet. Stopped for lunch today around 2pm. We should have known by the angry looking people waiting to pay and turned around. Long story short, 45 minutes later, my son and I received burnt black bacon in our BLT's and my husband's hash browns and eggs were cold. The waitress seated and took the order of two other groups before ours and ignored us completely, never asking if our food was okay. We had to go up front to get our bill and she wouldn't even acknowledge us. I know she saw the pile of blackened bacon on my plate as she passed by. I've lived in Fallon for close to ten years and was a frequent visitor of Jerrys for many years. Then came the day I visited with two friends. My friend ordered a California Sandwich-- they brought it out and all was fine.. until she opened up the Guacamole they gave her on the side. I kid you not, this thing had more hair on it than a dog. My stomach turned. I stayed away for a long time, but then decided to give it another shot. Every time I did, I was let down. Between the bad service and worsening food. The final straw was the day my husband and I visited there for dinner (against our better judgement.) He ordered a Chicken Fried Steak and I ordered a steak with mashed potatoes. My meal came with a salad. I asked for it to not have cheese or croutons. The "salad" that they served me was a plate of lettuce and one sliced tomato. And the plate was COVERED with dressing. My steak was horrible, the gravy was chunky, and my husbands meal was equally as horrible. This restaurant needs to get it together. First time there from out of town (month ago) no one greeted us. we went and sat down at counter. The mgr (i think) rushed us to order and mumbled that she has other tables to wait on if we weren't ready(wasn't mean about it but didn't seem professional to say that) . After placing our order we waited a long time. I asked another waitress if they were short staffed (the cook looked like he was going to pass out poor guy). The waitress said yes but it is always busy and was quickly interrupted by the mgr who said "no! it was an unusually busy night due to graduation". I asked if it was customary to have to sit for an hour and wonder when our food would come out? Good customer service is keeping in contact with your guest letting them know/apologizing for waiting WAY too long for their food (a burger and salad). I can be an understanding person if im given some common courtesy. So I got a grilled chicken salad-not worth the price- mediocre at best. Son's dish wasn't too bad but ordered mushrooms as a topping and they served the burger BEFORE he got his mushrooms ..for a topping!. scratching my head at that one. all in all- dingy, chaotic atmosphere, mediocre food. It was okay for what I got. It took a long time to get our food out to us because we actually went during normal day time working hours. The hashbrowns were dry and maybe a little to well done. But the pancakes were nice and fluffy. The regular scrambled eggs were good. The hot chocolate was also good but they ran out of whipped cream. Everyone was pretty decent to eat. We used to really like Jerry's in Fallon. But this is Sunday morning. I don't know if the quality is worse on Sunday, but the food was almost inedible. Hashbrowns dry and partially burned. I love Jerry's!!!!!!! I was a snob who would not step foot in there for quite awhile. My hubby twisted my arm. I am so glad he did. I will shut up now. Well, let me just say a bit about this place: The staff is kick-ass! The ladies rock and Jerry (if you want him to be, Don) is an angel on Earth. I know this place has the Heavenly touch since it's aura is heart shaped! Sweet, sweet, loving place with above average tasty and satisfying fare. The cherry pie is homemade and delightfully juicy perfection! The breakfast steak my husband had was med/rare to order and good quality! I love it here and wish I could go get a Jerry's fixx once in awhile for some comfort food and good old fashioned good people kindness. You go guys! Thank you for the healing. Smelled good, tasted awful, not even the coffee was consumable. The Mickey Mouse pancakes were a blob of pancake with a few cherries for eyes, no whip cream and undercooked. My wife and I ate here on 05/25/2014, a Sunday. We were immediately greeted & seated. The restaurant was clean and appears to have been remodeled in the last year or two. The men's restroom was clean and large. My wife ordered "The bus" (Ham & Eggs), and I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. Let me warn you - BRING AN APPETITE! These meals were so HUGE, each meal is served on two plates! Both meals were quite affordable, very well proportioned, and TASTY. We didn't bring our "A-game", so we barely put a dent in our respective meals. If I were to suggest improvements, that would be to add Wi-Fi, and maybe a smoother coffee. the coffee for my wife and i was a bit on the d trong side, but there were several servers walking around kerping our respective cups full.
