He put too much of a slope from our existing (then) 22 years old concrete deck (still great) toward our side yard. So obvious since it drops an entire brick in 10' length which left us a toe stumper to our existing side deck (was supposed to be a level transition)! It is just as bad from our home to the back yard. I am not exaggerating when I say we may have 2" of concrete in the radius to the side deck. The sides are honeycomb and gravel continues to fall out to this day. He never came back to fix it like he said he would. He came (unannounced) and poured it on a day it was rain heavy that night. It rained. My husband called because we had bean sized pits all over the top. Aaron came that night and rebooked the surface to cover the holes but it had stsrted setting up and left tall, sharp peaks that you can't walk on barefoot. We had spent time building and leveling a firepit we bought at Lowe's to the height we wanted for the concrete to be poured around it. When we arrived home from work, he had dismantled it, stacking it on our older concrete patio. He used the fire ring to mark a circle in the concrete - not even where we had it. We had to put it there because of the circle on the concrete and rebuilt it ourselves, because they just left it. Along with trash in our flower pots. They went cheap and bought bags of concrete mixing it in a wheelbarrow instead of a concrete truck as we were told. So, the excess got dumped in our yard. It took a 5# sledge to bust up, shovel into a 5 gallon bucket and 3 trips to my trash can so the grass could grow back. When dumping the gravel inside the forms, they backed their dump truck over our field beds & so close to our house that when they pulled forward dumping the gravel they tore our gutter ((looked like someone took a San opener under it for about a foot or more) on the back of our house and pushed the gutter away from the side of our house (you could see daylight between our brick & the gutter for a good 2". We then had to call a gutter company and per Aaron's request we pay them and he'd reimburse us the expense. He never and still owes us money for those repairs to this day. Whatever you do. Do not use this company. Save yourself the trouble and use a more dependable, honest, and caring company. We wasted a lot of money to turn around and do this job, again.

I needed to have flooring removed, and had two people fail to show up. I have new flooring being installed this week, so the old flooring had to be removed. I can't physically do it on my own due to my knees. I called Grindstaff's Remodeling earlier today, and within a couple hours, Adam and his crew showed up, removed the flooring, and even cleaned everything when they finished. Local friends, I highly recommend this business if you need any type of home remodeling work handled. Super friendly, worked fast, and saved the day because I had no idea how to get the flooring pulled up and removed on such short notice! I'm so thankful that I found Grindstaff's Remodeling in time to take care of the floors!

Keith gave me a quote for our roof back around August or September of this year, and I was hoping…read moreto wait until the spring to have him out to do the work, but this year's Halloween storm and the leaking bathroom ceiling it caused changed our plans. I called Keith the morning after, and he not only honored the now months old quote, he got everything ordered and the new roof on the house before Thanksgiving. His crew was very thorough in preparing for the new shingles, and 14 full 4x8 sheets of new decking later the new roof was on and water tight. They did an absolutely fantastic job. It made a huge visual improvement to the house and it's a huge relief knowing that our house won't be rotting away from the inside any time soon. In addition to the great work, Keith was very gracious in dealing with my nonstop questions. I'm an engineer and a heaping dose of both curiosity and perfectionism come with that occupation. Keith took the time to answer my questions and took them in stride, and was overall very communicative and open about the whole process. I appreciate that in a contractor and will remember it when I have other big projects in the future. If you need a new roof, and want it done right, Keith is the guy to call.
